Rafael Sinag: The Pacific Outlaw
Rafael Sinag: The Pacific Outlaw
Aliases: The Pacific Outlaw, Pacifico
Born: 1865, Philippines (Spanish Colonial Rule)
Occupation: Vaquero, Cowboy, Bounty Hunter turned Justice Vigilante/Rebel
He wears a customized duster, which he dyed. Underneath the duster is also a customized barong embroidered by the Mexican family he worked under during his vaquero times. The pants came all the way from the Philippines, a relic of the fashion of its time. Each piece of clothing represents his home flag, despite the Philippine flag being made 2 years after he put on this outfit... its a mere coincidence!
1865 - He was born in the Manila shorelines in a family of fishermen. His father was a marinero, so he was raised by the sea, taught to fish under his father's mentorship.
1883 - At 18, seeking greater opportunities for himself, he crossed the Pacific aboard an illegal Spanish merchant ship to Mexico through the former Manila-Acapulco route. He worked as a seafarer and did other quick jobs by the dock. After his contract had ended, he was supposed to go back home, but unfortunately, the vessel was taken by the Spanish government because of illegal trades.
1890 - He became a vaquero and rode cattle drives into California and Texas. People were confused about his origin because they thought he was Mexican and was often called βPacifico.β
1895 - After working as a vaquero, his interests suddenly shifted to bounty hunting as a cowboy, hunting criminals and gaining a reputation from hits. After working for a while, he realized a certain pattern with all of these criminals. They aren't bad people; they do bad things because of circumstances- to protect themselves, their land, and to survive.
1897 - He abandoned blind enforcement and followed his personal code of justice. He spared survival-driven offenders and focuses on the root of the problems instead, by exposing corrupt sheriffs and governments.
1899- His reputation as a rebel, a justice vigilante, spread across ranches and frontier towns. He was known for his honor, restraint, and fearlessness, especially as an immigrant in foreign lands. Respected by fellow otlaws, and feared by corrupt lawmen.
His name reached Filipino revolutionaries through sailors and letters. He became proof that a Filipino could defy empire, survive foreign lands, and enforce justice on his own terms. To the Filipinos, he became a symbol, a proof that dignity, resistance, and justice could survive anywhere, even in the dust of a foreign land.
Note: This is the unoffical reference sheet I just made so I can present the idea and premise of his story.... his design is tentative and will be subjected to more changes... I need to DIE
