ጠShop Stop - pomodoridimenticati áŚ
"I need to go shopping," Amy muttered to herself, laying on her bed in a spread eagle position.
It was a Saturday, meaning it was the day she could lounge around the house or stay in bed until one in the afternoon and not do anything at all. Those were the days she cherished, but the dwindling amount of food in the refrigerator and her cupboards were bothering her. Sighing in agitation (she really just wanted to stay home all day, but grown-up chores were a must), she got out of bed, showered, and got ready to leave.
She showed up at one of the shops closest to her apartment, the bell above the door dinging at her arrival.
ጠStupid Car - fixitgilbert áŚ
When Amy had first gotten this car, there had been plenty of people who warned against it. Parts were hard to find, it could break down easier, and was super expensive, but Amy absolutely refused to give up her beloved '67 Chevy Impala.
Smooth leather interior, sleek black paint job, and the faint smell of perfume and smoke from it's last owner that the blonde couldn't really get rid of--Or wanted to. Amelia loved the vintage car and everything it was.
Until it broke down.
"Dammit," she mumbled, kicking the front wheel with her shoe. This was a mistake, as she had flip flops on and managed to hurt her toes. She cursed a bit more, then groaned. She was only a couple miles out away from her apartment, but those miles were awfully long and the sun was beginning to set. She didn't want to have to walk back in the dark.
After trying to start the engine one more time, Amy gave up and put her head on the wheel. A pair of headlights flashed behind her car and their owner slowly came to a stop.

ጠBookstore Blues - Open áŚ
{ â } â Alfred nodded his head lightly, not precisely sure what for, before he decided to follow after her at a somewhat-quick pace. His hands quickly diving into the safety of the pockets of his old blue jeans, he glanced around the store rathger curiously, though every now and then his gaze flickered to the front, to make sure he didnât collide with anything.
"The Rule of Law," He answered after quickly taking his left hand out of his pocket, noticing that the red ink seemed to have vanished even more. The blond released a small sigh, before adding, "âŚI think." But heroes like him didnât thinkâ They knew! What would Captain America think if he saw him right then?
He tried looking for the book himself, having to push his glasses farther up his nose once in the process. His eyebrows furrowed a bit, his eyes unable to catch sight of the book. Ad the worst part was that it had to be that book, especifically, or else the essay wouldnât be valid. Perhaps they wouldnât notice if he simply copy-pasted
Amy gave him a look with a raised eyebrow and a frown.
"You think?" she asked, then turned back to the bookshelf so she could roll her eyes for a second without being rude. She went back to searching, making it nearly to the end of the shelf before snatching the book out of it's place (it had been laid on top of the rest, pressed between two thick law textbooks).
"Aha!" she cheered, holding the book in the air, "One copy of The Rule of Law for you, sir."
She handed the book to the man, a satisfied smile on her face as she lead him back to the front counter.

ጠBookstore Blues - Open áŚ
{ â } â With faded, well-worn blue jeans and sneakers that looked as if they were just as old as their owner, one would easily think Alfred was a homeless person. The American couldnât help but smile, rather idiotically as he heard the cheerful âdingâ from behind him.
Heâd been sent on a mysterious quest, only available for the bravest warriors and knights⌠Well, not really. He was just looking for a book he needed so he could write an essay for school. Which was due the next day, but that didnât really matter at the moment, did it?
The blond made his way up to the counter, smiling at the girl behind it before looking down at his hand. âFuckâŚâ He muttered under his breath as he squinted, not being fully able to understand the now-blurry words heâd written earlier that day on his hand.
"Uh⌠Do you happen to have a book named⌠The Rule of Law, by Bingham?â
Amelia thought for a moment, trying to recall if she'd ever seen that book on her random escapades through the shelves she didn't explore much.
"Um, I think we might," she nodded, sighing as she removed herself off the stool behind the counter. "It might be in the law section, maybe philosophy..."
She motioned for him to follow her, walking to the other end of the shop. Literally one shelf held all the law books they had in stock, as there weren't many people begging to get the new hardback edition of The Art of Persuading Judges than, say, Percy Jackson and the House of Hades.
"Hmm," Amy muttered, her fingers flying over the covers of numerous books. Red began to cover her cheeks when she asked, "Wait, what book were you lookin' for again?"

I'VE BEEN HIT WITH A BAD CASE OF THE OTP FEELS OH NO
"Do you like that?" Tiia asked abruptly. There she went, talking without thinking. It was a common everyday practice for Tiia. She again put her hand to her mouth and started to rephrase her question.
"I mean, would you rather them live closer?" Personally, Tiia would have loved to be in Amyâs position.Itâd be so lovely to have no annoying family members bothering you every once and a while. Well, at least I can do that here. Get some peace and quiet, She thought with a sigh.
Amy thought for a moment, then shook her head. "Nah, probably not. I've met most of my family through reunions an' stuff like that, and let me tell you: Â Most of them were very, very, very annoying. Couldn't put up with them that long!"
"A few of 'em were okay, but all of them living in or around Austin? No thanks."
ጠIncredibly Loud and Incredibly Annoying - crosspinsandcoffee áŚ
"Carry on my wayward son!
There'll be peace when you are done!
Lay your weary head to rest,
Don't you cry no more!"
Amy used to mop she had in her hands as a guitar, trying to mimic the current solo in the song by said instrument. The speakers she had plugged into her laptop were blaring the song as she cleaned; There was no way in hell Amy could clean without music. It made her feel like her chores weren't chores and overall made it more fun.
"Dundundundundun dun, dun, dun, dun," she mumbled, trying to sound out the rifts of the solo, dancing around her kitchen.
It didn't occur to her that she might've been too loud for the other tenants of the apartment building--She was enjoying herself too much to care. That is, until the music began to fade away to a quieter verse did she hear the angry-sounding knocking on her door.
"Shit," she muttered, throwing her mop down and running to pause her music. She went to open her door, facing a girl she had never met.
Shit shit shit.

what I wore today, except now 10x cuterÂ
Tiia nodded, blushing. Though she was often out-spoken, she rarely talked about her family. She didnât mind talking about them. Rather, she didnât want to burden them with her issues. âYeah, they can be. Especially when it seems like half the townâs your family.â Tiia can from a small town where everyone knew everybody. Whether you were really related or not, you often called adults things like aunt or uncle. With everyone being so close, there was nowhere to escape and certainly no secrets.
Amy nodded and made an O shape with her mouth. "Ah, I see. I wouldn't know the feelin' though," she told Tiia. "Austin was a huge city, but we didn't have much family there other than my gramma and grampa. Most of our family lives all over, but I get whatcha mean."
