I am going to address this once objectively. I cannot and will not take the snapchat seriously. I don’t think the purpose of the snapchat was to clear Kanye’s name but rather to humiliate Taylor. This is manipulation at the highest level. If Kim had this video evidence for 5 months, WHY wait this long to release it?! WHY? The snapchat video filmed is poor quality and cut up into different pieces. Why didn’t they post the whole video if there is nothing to hide?! That video is completely unreliable and sketch AF. The ONLY thing that video proves is that Taylor heard the sex line and agreed to it hesitantly. I don’t understand why Taylor would agree to that knowing her fan base BUT when you listen to it, Kanye says the line as a joke in a casual manner. Kanye states repeatedly that they are friends and it’s cool which Taylor hesitantly (and stupidly if you ask me) believes. There is no way Taylor would have known that the line would sound so insulting. How would Taylor have known that after the sex line that Kanye would say he made her famous and call her a bitch? The FACT is Taylor NEVER heard the entire song. So I am really confused on why everybody is calling her a liar. This song would hurt anybody’s feelings and she has the right to feel bad about it. I know I wouldn’t be ok with someone talking about sleeping with me. This is partially on Taylor because she could have prevented this whole mess if she had been more upfront about it from the start. If you look at Taylor’s original statement on this, she did not lie. Taylor never denied there was a phone call BUT she did leave out details of the phone call. At the end of the day, Kanye NEVER played Taylor the whole song. How can you approve a song that you never heard??!!

I watched the entire KUWTK episode. Kim said she refused to talk to Taylor on the phone about it after Kris suggested it. Don’t you find it a bit weird that Kim’s mom doesn’t have a problem with Taylor? Kim is trying to sell her angle of the story. I also believe the reason why Kanye did include Taylor in “Famous” was for publicity. Notice how everybody talked about the song just because of that lyric? He was selling the song by mentioning her name. Would anybody even care about “Famous” if he didn’t name check Taylor in it?!

I am going to call it how I see it, Kim and Kanye played Taylor 100%. I cannot fathom why Taylor was so quick to trust these people. I am honestly not that much of a Taylor Swift fan but it just seems to me like people will look for any reason to put her down. She cannot win no matter what she does. It is a shame that people are so blinded by their hate for Taylor that they can’t see how sketchy this entire situation is. They suddenly forget that Kanye has a history for doing this kind of stuff. Look at his video for Famous? I don’t think Kanye has any respect for anybody but himself. If Taylor hypothetically did this for revenge (which I don’t believe at all). Can anybody say that Kanye didn’t deserve it?!

I myself am no longer a Kanye West fan because of his blatant misogyny. The guy is a serial misogynist. Remember when he tweeted “Bill Cosby Innocent” and “bitch is an endearing term”?! If you listen to his album “Life of Pablo”, you will know exactly what I am talking about. He has no respect for women whatsoever.

I don’t understand this ‘EXPOSURE’, wtf does that even mean? People are just taking the chance to throw rocks at her.

And what if she had that note for a long time? Maybe she wasn’t sure if she should post it or not, because she KNEW that it would be a big deal once it came out. And I don’t understand why people don’t make a big fuss about Kim only posting that video now and not sooner.

I do believe that in a way Taylor was on the wrong but that doesn’t mean that her career is over or anything, when she comes back to making music she will be at top of the charts like she ALWAYS is. And sincerely, everybody knows it.

I do think that this is all too childish and I beg Taylor not to let this bring her down, and knowing her from the years I’ve been a fan, I know that she won’t let this petty fight ruin her.

This can’t go unseen and I’m gonna write a whole text about it so you better be ready:

1- Why on Earth are we focusing on what Taylor said when she was being recorded without her permission and this controversial footage has been released without her permission as well?

2- Why on Earth would someone record something like that if you’re not going to use it for further drama? This drama is all they’ve ever wanted (not to mention that TLOP was going down the charts☕) AND we’re giving it to them…

3- WHY would Kim release this recording MONTHS after this unwanted drama started? Why not “”“exposing Taylor”“” when you had the chance? Sounds a little too fake to me.

4- Taylor never lied… All we knew before this thing happened was: - There had been a phone call (which her publicist confirmed) - regarding the “I think that me and Taylor might still have sex” line, it was known that she had heard it beforehand and that she hadn’t stopped Kanye from using it. (Which her publicist ALSO confirmed) - regarding the “I made that bitch famous” line, which is related to her amazingly inspirational Grammy speech, there is absolutely no evidence that she explicitly heard those words from Kanye’s mouth, therefore she couldn’t have approved a line she supposedly never heard. BUT I admit that there’s certain words said in the video that may imply her knowing about it, but I repeat, not hearing it. All this phone call confirms is what her publicists had been saying all along, so HOW is it that “Taylor has been exposed” if all we see is things we already knew?

5- Can’t anybody see that what Kim is doing is exactly what happened to her back then with the sex tape? From what I heard, Kim wasn’t so happy about it then so why would she do something similar to Taylor? Btw Tay, you know you can sue her for this right? What she did is not right and, as far as I know, illegal.

6- This whole situation is childish and stupid af, enough for me to imagine this happening in the reality show this woman is a part of.

7- What about Taylor’s squad? Zendaya, Kendall and I don’t know if anybody else have shown not to be on “Taylor’s side” while liking tweets that imply the opposite. I think that meanwhile this is a really sad situation to go through, I hope Taylor realises who her true friends are and keeps them closer (like Selena💜).

8- Taylor has proven to be more mature and more clever than them by writing a text in which she respectfully tells her side of the story, which she had the right to, instead of attacking them from behind and calling them names.

I’ve seen some debate about this matter so I’m posting some of the things I’ve noticed from Taylor’s interviews / Listening Sessions just to clarify this matter. Reposting from my old post with some added quotes.

GLAMOUR UK, NOV 2013 INTERVIEW

Interviewer: So “Harry Styles: The Truth” album is on its way? Taylor: “Well, an album is supposed to be a chapter in a musician’s life…And sometimes you have to wait for the book to be written.”

1. Blank Space:  

“I was on a boat once and I came up with the line ‘so its going to be forever, or its going to go down in flames’ and I didn’t use it for about a year until I was writing Blank Space and I was like ‘OH!” - She was talking about that time she broke up with Harry on a cruise in British Virgin Islands.

2. Wish You Would:

“There’s “I Wish You Would,” about an ex who bought a house two blocks from hers (whom she implies was Styles)” - Rolling Stones interview, 2014.

“Okay so this is an idea called “I Wish You Would”. It’s kind of about this guy who’s like, he’s driving down the street at the middle of the night and he passes his ex-girlfriend’s house and it’s like, he thinks she hate him, but she’s still in love with him, very dramatic. This track is sick, hope you like this.” - Taylor’s voice memo in the 1989 Deluxe album

“oh, some extra info on IWYW. cant remember if ive already shared this, if i have im sorry, if i havent then here. taylor wrote that after a couple of months after her and harry broke up, and they decided to become friends again, and she said this was the first time she had become friends with an ex to the point where they were comfortable enough to talk about why the relationship didnt work out. and he said how, after they broke up, he bought a house literally one road adjacent to hers. and every day he would drive home, and accidentally turn into her street, and told her how he just wanted to stop at her house and see her, but he never did. and she said this song is about while he was in the car making the decision to get out the car and see her, she was sitting in her bedroom, wishing he would make the move and go back to her and just pitch up at her house. she compared it to a classic movie where both parties want the same thing but neither has the guts to say anything. and that’s why the song has the lyrics of “driving straight ahead”, opposed to taking the left turn to see her.“ -  Taylor’s 1989 listening party

Harry bought an LA mansion in March 2014, which is near Taylor’s house (about 7 minutes away). However, he was already staying in LA in 2013 with Jeff Azoff.

Taylor once said this about Style, a song she definitely wrote about Harry: “I talk about in another song on the record a crooked love, which is kind of like never quite synced up right.”

The other song that she meant was ‘I Wish You Would’ in which one part of the lyrics of the song says: “We’re a crooked love in a straight line down.”

Therefore both ‘Style’ and ‘I Wish You Would’ are about the same person, which is about Harry Styles.

Harry has also referenced IWYW lyrics in his song ‘Perfect’, written about Taylor:

“And if you like midnight driving with the windows down” to Taylor’s “Windows down, you pass my street, the memories start”.

3. All You Have to Do Was Stay:  

She tweeted ‘Back In the studio’ days after she broke up with Harry. Taylor then later confirmed on tumblr that she wrote ‘All You Had To Do Was Stay’ at that studio session.

4. How You Get The Girl:

It is hinted that she wrote it when she was still with Harry.

“about how a guy broke up with his girlfriend because he is afraid of how in love he is and he wants to experience the world and date around but then he realizes what he lost and came back for it six months too late; also she said her friends’ boyfriends come and ask her from help when they do this kind of thing, and she says to follow the steps of this song” - Taylor’s 1989 secret sessions, hints at Harry.

5. This Love:

This song is the oldest song on the track, and the linear notes described the song with the words “Timing is a funny thing”.

Harry wrote a song about Taylor called ‘I Love You’ around the same time, where he also wrote “Maybe if I got my timing right, I wouldn’t end up alone”. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

“this is the oldest song on the record and is co-produced I believe with Nathan Chapman, and is about how she was kinda with someone who wasn’t ready so they split up but they ended up back together” - Taylor’s 1989 secret sessions, hints at Harry.

6. Clean:  

“Shake It Off” and “Clean” were the last two things we wrote for the record, so it shows you where I ended up mentally. “Clean” I wrote as I was walking out ofLiberty in London. Someone I used to date—it hit me that I’d been in the same city as him for two weeks and I hadn’t thought about it. When it did hit me, it was like, Oh, I hope he’s doing well.” - Taylor in Elle magazine interview, 2015

“co-written with Imogen Heap (written when she was in London for the Red Tour and she went to her house which is two hours outside of London and is a single castle turret in the middle of this town with lots of horses and small town) and anyways it is about when she was in London and realized her ex was also there but she didn’t feel the usual sense of uneasiness and instead she felt fine and this is what this song is about” - Taylor’s 1989 secret sessions.

Harry is British, he lives in London.

Harry has also referenced ‘Clean’ lyrics in ‘Olivia’, a song he wrote about Taylor: 

“This isn’t the stain of a red wine, I’m bleeding love” to Taylor’s “You’re all over me like a wine-stained dress I can’t wear anymore”

“The summertime and the butterflies all belong to your creation” to Taylor’s “When the flowers that we’d grown together died of thirst, when the butterflies turned to dust that covered my whole room.”
