     he’s so gentle about the way one of his hands drop xander’s, the way he allows it to lightly cup the curve of his soulmate’s jaw. pale & nimble fingers draw out reassuring patterns into soft, familiar skin — he’s so breath-takingly beautiful, andy could whine out loud. ( he won’t, no need to make xander thinks he’s that excited over something as simple as a kiss. ) the red head simply nods and leans forward; leans until their noses bump and he has to let his eyes fall shut,  “  i’ve wanted to kiss you for so long, y’know … just wanted you to feel — safe, before i asked.  ”  then he’s pressing their lips together, and he’s SIGHING into the kiss. you could say it’s the relief of the century.

       his heart is racing, pounding in his chest. it's just a simple kiss, but the idea of it still sends him reeling. a smile starts to break it's way out over his lips, probably could've said something but he's absolutely stunned by all of it. & then it's happening, their lips are together and xander's allowing himself to be kissed. it's been so long, almost feels like he's forgotten how & yet he does. he let's his lips mold into andy's, connect as one. the grip he has on the boys hand tightens and he's not too sure how long he can do this without panicking. but strangely enough, it feels so right. like he doesn't have to push andy off and run. like he's safe.

       the air around them is so silent, which  may or        may not have something to do with the burning        love andy has for the dark headed boy  in front        of him —   he’ll carefully bump their foreheads        & noses together. quiet words gently falling off        of bright red petals,              and they’re almost        painfully familiar.         “ – could i kiss you? ”

       his voice gets caught in the back of his throat. honest to god wants to say something, speak up and announce that he wants andy to kiss him — terribly so. it's just hard to make words, terrified because he's managed to go so long denying kisses and all opposing attempts at intimacy. xander's never felt safe enough for it & the fact that he finally does, is scaring him. scares him half to death that trusting somebody else could make him weak enough to be mistreated like he once was. so he tightens his grip on andy's hands, let's the air between them fill with silence & rests their foreheads in the calm.   “  i —— you could. yeah ... you could.  ”   it's as much as he thinks he can do, shutting his eyes and taking a deep breath after he whispers his words aloud.

the sky lightened suddenly to a dazzling, opaline white and the muddy grounds were revealed one morning covered in glittering frost. inside the castle, there was a buzz of Christmas in the air.

         he’s so captivated by the beauty of     everything that is          alec that he almost forgets to respond — almost forgets          to follow in tune, to gently sway them around their small          kitchen. his nose leans down to bump with alec’s,    tiny          grin ever-so-present on his lips.      “  i’m marrying my          best friend, t-the most beautiful person on earth ; could             not think of spending my life w-with someone else. ”

       he presses back into that nudge of the nose, pushing        in until he can steal the tiniest kiss.     “  good, 'cause        you're stuck with me forever.     babies,   more dogs,        grandchildren. all of it.  ”           he'll take the slightest        step back,   creating some space between the two of        them.             “  spin!! show me your moves, baby.  ”
