Do you know that snow has a muffling quality because its a really good insulator? That's why your steps sound louder and a car driving a street away sounds more distant than usual.

Have you noticed that piles of snow literally sparkle??? Like glitter, it sparkles like a million million tiny diamonds and no one talks about it.

What about snowfall in general??? The fact that water crystalizes in the atmosphere and falls to the ground gently is an insane concept on its own, but actually seeing it??? It's fucking unreal and magical.

People talk about leaves crunching in Fall, but snow always takes the cake. A nice crispy untouched section of snow that's had time to melt a bit and then freeze again? Unparalleled joy.

Snow literally frosting the branches of skeletal trees making everything look right out of Candyland. Bonus points if there's icicles thrown in the mix. Have you ever seen a frozen Weeping Willow? Look it up right now.

Winter nights being lighter in general because snow reflects light, and if you live in a city or large town it doubles the light pollution, making everything notably brighter. Night walks go EXTRA hard.

The converse of this being that due to the fact that everything is dead, in the day if it's clear, the sky appears to be bluer than in any other season. It looks almost azure sometimes. OH AND SUNRISES AND SUNSETS IN WINTERRRRRR.
