Dear Andy,

It’s been a year since I said “fine,” to dinner with you. It’s been a year since I decided to give love another chance. It’s been a year since I decided to trust you with my heart and since then my life has changed so much for the better. I never thought I could love like this again. I thought my heart and soul were too damaged to experience this kind of emotion, but you’ve taught me to embrace the impossible. I’ve come to learn that with you nothing is impossible. With you, my life and my heart have never been so full. I now get to love five beautiful children, two step grandchildren, and you. When you get to become our age you start to think that the possibility of life long love has come and gone. I know now, though, that our love will last a lifetime. In the last year we’ve had our challenges (you more than me,) but we have proven to ourselves that we can persevere and make it through anything. Andy, I love you more than I ever thought possible. Sometimes it still scares me how much I love you, but it doesn’t scare me as much as the thought of me not opening my heart up to you at all. I’m so lucky to have the chance to be in your life, for you to be in mine, and for our lives to become one. Happy anniversary, my love.
