Shibuya knew Ookabuki was a bad liar. It always had been easy to see through her whenever she didn’t want to talk about something. Deciding to take the plunge, she thought carefully about what she would say next. “One of the reasons I want you to move in is that we’d have two incomes…..it’d make monthly expenses a bit easier, you know? Not to mention, there’s that money you have saved up that you’re so proud about. We could go out and do all kinds of things with that.”
“Not now.” Ookabuki sighed and closing her eye. “…not ready for that.”
She leaned in, trying to formulate an argument. “I’m ready to take that next step, Tomomi. I’m tired of waiting. I’d be fine with you not wanting to do it if you gave me a more concrete reason, but simply saying you’re not ready after all this time isn’t cutting it for me.”
“I said, not right now.” She growled then turning around.
Shibuya wrapped her arms around Ookabuki’s waist, rubbing it.
Ignoring the other, Ookabuki was closing her eyes. Somehow whenever Shibuya mentioning about moving in, there’s this sharp pain in her chest. She was afraid, very afraid to take the next step. And she knows Shibuya wouldn’t understand even if she explains it.
