It was essentially this week long festival/party thing on Alternia aimed at introducing newly turned of age trolls to off planet life. Like there were games and exhibitions and panels (full of propaganda of course) for turned-of-age trolls to sample the off planet careers available to them.

There were large convention center type buildings where the festival would take place. They were strictly segregated by caste but trolls with quadrants in other castes had permission to go to their quadrants’ caste area to do quadrant things.

It was the only time of sweep where off planet trolls were allowed to return to Alternia. They were mainly only allowed to be in the festival centers doing things for the festival but trolls (higher bloods especially) did sneak off to look at their old hives and haunts and stuff. 

The holiday was also the time when young fuschia bloods could challenge the Empress for the throne and there was a huge arena built solely for hosting the fights. 

At the end of the festival all the trolls that had turned of age since the last festival left the planet with the elder trolls and began their lives off planet.
