I Spit In One

Maia watched before setting her drink down. Taking in the angles before moving to line up her shot. It connected relatively well even if not the best shot.

“Alright.” It certainly seemed an amusing offer, but that was the cynic in her talking. “Gentleman first.” Giving an smug grin after the remark as she ordered herself another drink. 

Maia followed behind him. “Well thanks for the optimism.” Fingers gently picking up one of the pool sticks. “Obviously, I just don’t have time to practice playing an game generally speaking.”

“Not entirely sure if that’s fair.” But she sat up anyways after picking up his drink off the floor. Considering before scooting it back over to him. “But sure, I’m not the best at it though.” Only playing a handful of times with somebody now dead. Giving a smile as stood up finishing off her drink. 

Maia gave an little giggle she couldn’t help. “Yeah well like I said usually you two use it the most, besides everybody else is too busy drinking or getting all handsy.” An exaggerated, childish expression at the last bit of her talking. “I play it at times but that requires another player.” 

“I didn’t say you weren’t- besides let’s face it nobody actually uses those words when they mean it.” Tucking an arm behind her head just watching the movements of the party. “But that might be the philosophical major secretly in me talking.” Reaching for her drink and taking an swig. “Otherwise he’d have probably arrived before you did, and you two would be hoarding the pool table.” 

“And you’re relatively tipsy.” Keeping it away with an grin, “So I’m doing you an nice service, Mr. Lightweight.” Listening to the response before giving a slight nod. “Oh yeah that stuff.” Swinging her body to stretch across the side of the booth she was on. Setting his drink on the floor nearby. “Admittedly I suppose is sort of the witching hour certainly.”
