Sketches, Doodles and Nonsense

Recently Boo ran a game for some friends that was a super simplified version of the TTRPG Ink, shortened into a game of a couple sessions. The basic gist is that your character's origin can be basically any genre, but they're dead, trying to move on, and the complicated emotions surrounding your death manifest as a Shadow that protects you while you traverse the afterlife. The mechanics were kinda rough but IT WAS CUTE AND FUN. Anyway here's our party!! Im playing the middle aged man with the eldritch shadow obviously

Boo added a bar we could stop at, staffed by a single skeleton, with drinks that had various mechanical boosts (but no alcohol, to the great dismay of our rat friend). They DID have capri sun pouches though so obv I got that

Also very fun to play the character who is like the most normal person and most familiar with the tech level, but is also a 14 year old Gifted Student. Lots of facts in her head, little practical experience of the world, very passionate, and subconsciously fearing there will be a test.

Maddy wanted to get a good grade in traversing the afterlife, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve!

Belated Day 11 of Inktober because I had some details I didn’t quite manage yesterday. Taking a break from the prompt list to do some fan art for @modmad‘s comic The Property of Hate. I’m very excited about this comic.

Needed a chill project so went through a pages of weird little creature doodles and picked out some to fill a page to use to play around with gouache and colored pencil. (and felt pen for outlines).

Sometimes you really just need to break out the gouache and colored pencils and make some weird little creatures again. I did a bunch of these guys in like 2024 and they're just perfect little bite size art snacks. Just shapes and colors.
