point 1: i kind of doubt Lillie was at all aware that Nebby’s attack would split Lusamine and Nihilego apart and not just….you know…..kill them both. those couple of seconds where Lusamine gets ready to lunge and Lillie closes her eyes before calling for Nebby completely strike me as her going “welp…..we tried….sorry Mother” and preparing to give her the good old mercy kill in self-defense. brutal

point 2: last time Lusamine saw Nebby, it was still a Cosmog and also (as far as she was aware) moments from death. she probably assumed it died after she went through the wormhole with Guzma when she saw that it wasn’t with Lillie. but then suddenly Lillie is like “HELP US NEBBY” and Nebby is not only alive, but also a fucking legendary for some reason, and this is hilarious to keep in mind when looking at Lusamine’s reaction
