So here’s some random thoughts and emotions I had throughout this movie

• first of all this wasn’t a movie this was three hours of emotional torture and turmoil

• Nat’s ending arc, omg I sobbed I’ve never felt a character’s emotions so hard before. I literally felt how she knew this was exactly what she was meant to do and how much she cared for her family and for Clint

• TOM FUCKING HOLLAND MY ABSOLUTE BABY GOD I S O B B E D SO HARD WHEN HE CAME BACK I literally got shushed by my friend during infinity wars bc I was sobbing so hard when he died this was a win for me and me only

• Tony :((( omg I just, I completely knew this was coming and I still wasnt prepared. I know Iron Man has run its course and I knew that he truly could rest easy now bc they’re all gonna be fine but omg. That one HURT and the “proof tony stark has a heart” BITCH IM SOBBING TYPING THAT RN

• Ok but Tony being the one to officially defeat Thanos was just,,,so powerful it felt so right and for some reason felt so so incredibly meaningful

• ok but that part where all the strong female leads came to kick some ass THAT WAS IT FAM

• :((( give me Captain America back. Like I’m so happy for Steve that he got to be with Margaret and live his life but I’m also just :( also WHATS BUCKY SUPPOSED TO DO NOW

• OH MY GOD BUT THE DANCE PART WITH STEVE. OHHH I CRIED S O HARD THAT FULL CIRCLE REALLY HIT DIFFERENTLY

• the fortnite part SENT me

• OK BUT WHEN CAP HAD THORS HAMMER !!! BRO WHEN HE WAS FUCKING SHIT UP MY ONLY THOUGHT WAS “THATS AMERICAS ASS” ADJKSSJ

•listen I know it’s called end game but the way they wrapped it up was just so,,,nice like they really fucking hurt you the whole time but they also made it realistic and kind of a tough love you know which I respect

Now that Tumblr has completely fucked most people with killing their links (if you put any link, even one that directs back to a Tumblr post, it no longer shows in the search engine), it’s on YOU, the consumer, to make sure things get noticed. If you want to keep seeing your favorite creators, it’s up to YOU to make sure their posts actually get seen.

And, before anyone wants to pipe up, one person DOES make a difference. If you’re reading this thinking “oh, someone else will reblog, I don’t have to!”. Well, no. You’re wrong because if YOU’RE thinking that, many other people are as well which means, no the post will not be seen and the creator stops creating (or at least publishing for your unpaid consumption).

The post doesn’t match your blog aesthetic? Make a new blog. You don’t have to maintain it. Just click the reblog button and it’ll STILL help get the creators some form of recognition.

I don’t usually defend Tony Stark. But this “Something went wrong” bullshit really rubbed me the wrong way. Wanna know why? Because the “Something that went wrong” was Howard Stark. The man that Tony idolised, and the man that abused him. And don’t give me that crap that in the MCU universe, Howard didn’t neglect or hurt Tony — he did. It’s very evident in the tie-in MCU comics.

But in both universes, Tony was raised by Edwin Jarvis. In 616, he has a father — Howard — who is constantly aggravated with his son, both as a result of his own drinking and because of what he feels Tony should be.

While Jarvis might be sensitive, thoughtful, intelligent and occupy roles that aren’t traditionally occupied considered “masculine” (which is bullshit in itself) if Tony ever displays anything remotely indicative of  a “softer side” he is ridiculed, called a sissy, told that Stark men are “made of Iron” and abused by his father: 

In the MCU, things aren’t depicted of being much better: 

And in the MCU Jarvis, often, tried to soften the blow of Howard’s words an actions. But don’t think for a second that Tony didn’t internalise all of that. That he didn’t think that Howard Stark was the man he was supposed to be, and the man he wanted to be most like. 

Of course, generally speaking — when Tony is the most like Howard — like at the Stark Expo, or during the senate hearings — it’s almost 100% preformative. That’s not who he is, or who he ever was, it’s who he thinks people want him to be, because it’s who his father wanted him to be.

I would go so far as to say that a lot of Tony’s womanizing ways, his alcoholism, his struggles with self-identity and importance all stem from the fact that he is often torn between being the man that he assumed his father wanted to be, and who he actually is.  

If you look at Tony when he’s alone, or when he’s with the people he cares about the most, what you see is the caring, compassionate person who Jarvis raised, and that he is a lot more capable and a lot more loving than his father ever was. And it took him a long time to be okay with that, and with showing other people that that was who he really was

So yes… Just a reminder, Jarvis helped raised this man:

- THOR WAS SENT TO EARTH BECAUSE HE WAS CAST OUT OF ASGARD FOR BEING SO DAMN ARROGANT

- NATASHA IS PROBABLY PARTIALLY CALLED “BLACK WIDOW” BECAUSE OF ALL THE LIES SHE’S SPUN (SHE ALSO DEFECTED BACK OVER TO TEAM CAP AFTER GOING O TEAM IRON MAN IN “cIVIL WAR”)

- NICK FURY WANTED THE HULK ON THE AVENGERS, BUT ALSO HAD A SECRET BACK-UP FOR KILLING HI IN CASE THINGS WENT WRONG

- CLINT ORIGINALLY SIDED WITH CAP AND LEFT HIS FAMILY TO FIGHT, THEN BLAMED TONY FOR IT

- STEVE ROGERS LIED TO TRY AND  GET INTO THE ARMY, MULTIPLE TIMES (WHICH IS A CRIME)

- HE TOLD TONY “I’VE SEEN THE FOOTAGE, ALL YOU EVER CARE ABOUT IS YOURSELF”. WHEN HE HAD ONCE BEEN A GUY WHO WAS DESPERATE FOR PEOPLE TO GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO PROVE WHAT KIND OF GOOD HE COULD BRING TO THE WORLD. BUT HEY, FOOTAGE IS ALL THE PROOF YOU NEED! DON’T TRY TO READ ANY ARTICLES ABOUT HOW HE SAVED PEOPLE, HOW HE WAS HELPING PEOPLE BY TURNING SI INTO A GREEN ENERGY INDUSTRY, HOW HOWARD STARK MESSED UP AS A FATHER (OH BUT HOWARD WAS ONE OF STEVE’S BUDDIES, AND GOD KNOWS, STEVE’S BUDDIES CAN’T CAUSE ARE SAINTS AND WOULDN’T CAUSE ANY HARM TO ANYONE WHO DIDN’T DESERVE IT…!)

- HE FLAT OUT TOLD TONY HE’D TORN THE AVENGERS APART JUST BY SIGNING THE ACCORDS, WHEN HE KNEW DAMN WELL THAT TONY HAD GOOD INTENTIONS WITH THE ACCORDS

- HE FUCKING RAMMED HIS SHIELD INTO TONY’S CHEST, BREAKING/FRACTURING AT LEAST A COUPLE OF HIS RIBS

(And in “Spider-Man: Homecoming”, Tony still makes Cap a new shield to store at the new Avengers compound!)

All Tony needs for a team are Peter Parker, Colonel James Rhodes, Pepper Potts, Bruce Banner, Thor (he was arrogant, but I still love him), and Happy Hogan if Happy’s up for it
