I call this "The Witch in the woods"

I envision, a very wise hermit - a woman, one who has been shunned by conventional society, and has resorted to carving out a piece of paradise for herself among forest inhabitants - butterflies, owls, ravens, etc. She found peace in the middle of nowhere, and that's where she hones her craft by reading books of old and observing her animal friends, for whom better to teach her than the animals?

They comfort her and teach her little by little, knowing of her potential and her gentle heart.
