I hope this year brings you everything you wish for and more! I can’t wait to meet-up with you later this year, and have the most amazing time together hopefully at a Fleetwood Mac concert!

I love you no end! Let’s never stop being weird, and strange, and just ridiculously hilarious with some of our head canons - they give me life! Don’t go too wild tonight, and make sure you watch out for any shower curtains, lamps, furniture in general…! You’re the best!

Stevie Nicks | Rumours Tour, 1977 

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham first met at a mid-60s party; Buckingham was playing The Mamas and the Papas’ “California Dreamin’” and Nicks joined in the harmony. Two years later Buckingham invited Nicks into his rock band, Fritz, to replace their lead singer. Nicks accepted and Fritz became a popular band, even opening for Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix. After it disbanded, Buckingham and Nicks became a duo, releasing an album that was not successful. Nicks supported Buckingham by working a number of jobs while he focused on his music. Eventually Mick Fleetwood invited them into his band Fleetwood Mac. The band and their partnership survived, but unfortunately their relationship did not. Buckingham and Nicks broke up during the band’s Rumours era, prompting both of them to write songs about the other. Buckingham wrote “Second Hand News”, “Never Going Back Again”and “Go Your Own Way” while Nicks wrote “Dreams". Prior to the Rumours era they had also wrote songs about each other; “Frozen Love” (both), “Stephanie” (piano piece by Buckingham), “Long Distance Winner” (Nicks), “Silver Springs” (Nicks) and the well-known “Landslide” (Nicks).
