Isaiah 60 - Isaiah describes God's kingdom to come.

2nd Kings 3 - King Mesha of Moab revolts against Israel after the death of Ahab.

Isaiah 59 - Yet again, Isaiah foretells the coming of the Messiah.

2nd Kings 2 - Elijah is taken to heaven, and Elisha takes over.

Isaiah 58 - God tells Israel that He does not want them to spend one day wearing sackcloth and doing evil all other days. He wants them to take care of the poor every day.

2nd Kings 1 - After a fall, King Ahaziah asks a servant to ask the god Baal-Zebub if he would live. Elijah replies that because Ahaziah asked a false god for a prophecy, he would die.

1st Kings 22 - The death of Ahab

Isaiah 56 - Salvation will come to the foreigner who keeps the Sabbath and to eunuchs who pray to the Lord. This is the promise to a Lord for the whole world.

1st Kings 21 - Ahab and Jezebel have Naboth murdered after he refuses to sell Ahab his family vineyard.

Isaiah 55 - The prophet continues to promise that a Messiah is coming, and even wrongdoers will be forgiven if they repent.

1st Kings 20 - Ahab defeats Ben - Hadad, but lets him live. The Lord condemns him for it.

Isaiah 54 - The prophet promises that God will be true to his covenant with Israel.

1st Kings 19 - Elijah flees Jezebel's wrath, and an angel attends to him.

Isaiah 53 - Isaiah describes the suffering of Jesus and how He sets us free.

1st Kings 18 - Elijah sets up a contest with the priests of Bhaal to see who's God would set the sacrifice on fire. Elijah blew them all away.

Elijah 52 says that Zion will be redeemed by one who seemed disfigured, but became most exalted. This seems to reference the Crucifixion.

1st Kings 17 - The Lord sends a famine with no rain because of Ahab's corruption. However, the prophet Elijah promises to this widow that her flour and oil will never run out while the famine persists.

Isaiah 51 - The Lord promises that Zion will be freed from the oppressor's yoke.

1 Kings 16 - Several kings of Israel were discussed, all of whom were corrupt. The passage ends with the arrival of Jezebel and Ahab.

Isaiah 50 - God insists that He has turned His back on His people because they defied Him and worshiped other gods.

1st Kings 15 - Several kings for Israel and Judah are discussed, including the virtuous king Asa of Judah, who tore down the idols of false gods in his realm.

Isaiah 49 - Isaiah says that the Lord has not forgotten Israel in bondage. Like a mother cares for her child, the Lord cares for Israel and will send a Messiah.

1st Kings 14 - The prophet Ahijah informs the wife of Jeroboam that her son would die.

Isaiah 48 - God explains that he sent the Israelites in captivity to Babyon to make them over, as a metalworker would refine silver.

1st Kings 13 - When Jeroboam started making unholy sacrifices, the Man of God spoke against him. Jeroboam tried to attack him, but the Lord made his arm shrivel up.

Isaiah 47 - The chapter speaks again about the destruction of Babylon, with an addition prophecy foretelling the coming of Christ.

1st Kings 12 - Rehoboam decides to continue forced labor, so his people rebel against him. Only the tribe of Judah remains.

Isaiah 46 - Isaiah condemns Babylon for worshiping idols, and says that God will be true to His people.

1st Kings 11 - Solomon begins to worship false gods, and God decrees that He will split up his country.

Isaiah 45 - God is sending Cyrus to free Israel, to show that He is Lord above all, even as Israel has betrayed Him.

1st Kings 10 - The Queen of Sheba visits Solomon.

Isaiah 44 - Isaiah rails against the folly of craftsmen who create idols and then worship them.
