not to mention, how travis is a hispanic/latino teenage boy who's been bullied and with what we can see is a troubled home life, while ben is a disabled, closeted gay man, both in situations where they're not exactly free of oppression, is what i'm trying to say. and sometimes it feels like people ignore these issues on behalf of "they're men!". i'm usually not the greatest man defender, and i understand people who simply are not here to understand men, but travis and ben have also gone through considerable trauma, same if not more as the rest of these girls (i'd even place travis as one of the people who suffered the most, tbh). and seeing their storylines, such as ben's storyline with paul or just his entire storyline (which i didn't care much for either, tbh, but ill continue), and travis' storyline with nat (a lot of people ignore just how important their relationship was to nat for the sake of shipping her with another person, or for the sake of deeming her a lesbian; bi people exist, you guys!) generally not being considered important while men like jeff are fan favorites... it just feels icky idk if you catch my drift
