FOR I WAS IN LOVE-

Daughter overload. She’s going to cry. She’s trying to hold these grocery store ‘includes a tattoo’ valentines like they are made of literal gold.

She can’t hold them all. They’re spilling off the desk.

She’s crying.

          Oh no.  Oh no.  This has not gone as planned.  Why is she crying?

       “Hahahahah!  Take it!  Take all of it!”

"Oh! What a good chance to show off the items in my workshop☆ I hope you have a lot of time on your hands."

"Nerd-"

       “Are you sure you’re not just going to kick me in the shins first?”

                          Hans was shorter than him right?

        The first breath of air in Hans’s life is... for lack of a better way to describe it, weird.  He can feel those weird sacks in his chest expand as his head breaks the surface of the water.  That’s it’s own triumph, considering how far he’s had to swim upwards to reach this place.

       Washing in with the tide, Hans takes a moment to just breathe.  It worked!  So long, horrible fish land!  Still- he’s already tired, emotionally at least, and he’s going to have to figure out how land creatures walk.  Even running his hands over these new legs is surreal.

        For now, Hans props himself up on his elbows and tries to get a better view of the beach.  It’s hard to see more than about ten feet to the right of him because the land curves, but otherwise, it seems like he’s alone.  Good.  When he finds her, he wants it to be cool, not like this.

        Bit by bit, as his strength returns, he starts pull himself up into a sitting position, which reveals the second surprise- when he was selling his voice, he’d expected more of a total silence kind of deal.  Really, he can make as much noise as he wants, but it’s... not the same.  There’s this odd feeling, almost like numbness or some sort of disconnect in his tongue and lips.  When he tries to speak, no matter how much he tries to enunciate, it doesn’t come out as anything but unpleasant noise.

Geez, what a thing to ask of you.  She’s a Master!  Isn’t that a good enough description?  They better be paying you for your time if it’s something stupid like this.

...She’s not a bad woman, at least.  You weren’t used to eating three meals a day at this point (it hurts too much to move around making it to be worth the effort when you can just run off mana).  And she’s got freakishly strong muscles.  Her hair is soft to the touch.

But who does she think she is?  You can’t play punch buggy with casters!  What is this, grade school?!  You’ll bruise!  And she works you to the bone!  Go get someone else to do all this busy work, you have your own boulder to push up the hill!
