“There is one who you belong to, whose love - there is no song for. And though you know it’s wrongful, there is someone else you long for.”

“At some point, being angry is just another bad habit, like smoking, and you keep poisoning yourself without thinking about it.”

“When there’s a fresh wound in your heart, keep it open until it heals. Air it out. Understand it. Dive into it. Be fierce enough to become it. If you ignore it, it won’t be able to breath. If you ignore it, it will merely deepen, spread, and resurface later, wanting to release. And when later happens, it will hurt even more, because when later happens, you won’t know what you’re bleeding for … Remain open to feel free.”

You can’t get lost if you don’t know where you’re going.
“Never lose yourself while trying to hold on to someone who doesn’t care about losing you.”
—
“Most things will be okay eventually, but not everything will be. Sometimes you’ll put up a good fight and lose. Sometimes you’ll hold on really hard and realise there is no choice but to let go. Acceptance is a small, quiet room.”
— Cheryl Strayed
If you’re gonna lose sleep over something, lose sleep over the fun times you have with friends staying up all night. Lose sleep over your career that you put a lot of time into in order to make a lasting impression on the world. Lose sleep over the painting you’ve created to help others see the world the way you do. But don’t lose sleep over someone who won’t text back. Don’t lose sleep over a love that won’t lose sleep over you.

Have you ever watched the person you love slowly lose interest in you? It starts off little, you can’t quite put your finger on it, but something is different, something has changed. Everything feels slightly off, off like a monday. You can almost hear it in their voice, you can see it in their eyes. You think it’s you, you start over thinking every single little thing, wondering what you did, where it all went wrong, how you can fix it. It starts off with little things like waking up to no text, calls become fewer and farther between, the lack of effort, emotion and the excuses begin to pile up. Soon it starts tearing you apart, the feeling of not being good enough begins to make you feel physically sick. Soon you find yourself hysterically crying in your car at three in the morning because you can’t hold yourself together anymore. You know it’s coming, you know you can’t do anything to stop it. The aching doesn’t stop.
“I want to text you. Just to remind you that I’m still here. But then I remember that you know I’m here. You just don’t care.”
— M.
