Several years ago, I collected a crow that was hit by a car and salvaged a few parts for my personal use. These are my most cherished necklaces to this day. I adore corvids.
The eye sockets in the skull are painted black for artistic effect.
The infernal bloodcap mushroom (Coprinopsus vermillion).
This is a fictional species of mushroom sculpted with hot glue and polimer clay. The mushrooms are attached to a genuine raccoon skull that was field collected.
It's not just spooky decor. IT'S A LAMP.
I've escalated things since the last deer skull. Now we have glowing mushrooms. :)
EVERYTHING. MUST. GLOW.
I'm excited for halloween this year. I got crazy with bones and glow in dark paint.

My drawer of little dead curiosities. π
This was a commissioned skull centerpiece for a close friend of mine. The skull is from a raccoon that died of natural causes, and the mushrooms are hand sculped and painted. The mushrooms are loosely inspired by ink cap mushrooms.
People think I'm wierd.
They're right. :)
Coprinus necrosidus, the Abysmal ink cap mushroom. These mushrooms are a fictional species of ink cap, made primarily clay, yarn, and bone. They are placed on a skull I harvested from the woods.
This is my second Abysmal ink cap piece, and this time, it's a deer skull rather than a raccoon.

A new Abysmal project is in the works. :)
The beautiful Kentucky flat millipede. This colorful species secretes a cyanide ooze as an extremely effective defense against predators.
My first ever millipedes are gorgeous bumblebees. Im so happy to have them.
Vulture culture sees beauty in the dead and gives it a new life in art. I've been collecting bones for years and creating unique jewelry with them.

I love mushrooms, and I love forest themed lamps, so I made a thing. I used a string light and hid the wires with moss. Mushrooms are clay caps and hot glue over wire stalks.

I love mushroom themed crafts.
