yes i do!! :) i read radio silence and all of alice oseman's other books during the summer of 2022, the oseman-verse was very much a hyperfixation for me lol

I'm going to my first pride event on Saturday and made a Radio Silence/Heartstopper Sign! 🏳️‍🌈

um it's good osemanverse is goated someone buy solitaire and this winter for me and i will be forever grateful

well my book already has pages falling out so a new version wont hurt...

i watched that apple keynote the other day and all the parental controls stuff kept making me think about carol last w abso horror. i had an abusive childhood w a controlling parent and grew up before the internet and it’s just been like this amazing thing to have seen happen in my lifetime that young ppl have all this support and info avails that i nvr had and the thought of that all being taken away is just wtf to me like at least i cld call a helpline yk if your parents control which numbers you’re allowed to call you don’t even have that. it just feels like a nightmare for a kid w an abusive or controlling parent and like it looks like the tech companies tryna swerve responsibility by chucking it at the parents yk they went on and on abt privacy but when it came to kids just this complete invasion of privacy. imagine having to ask your parents before you can access queer orgs like if the parents are ppl like you slay but not everyone is. urgh it was so triggering to me. it feels so groomer-trope adjacent too like “what are kids doing accessing info abt sexuality or gender identity in the first place” type bs. i feel like between self-serving rent-seeking tech giants and inept politicians pandering to right-wing populism kids are just fucked, just like i was half a century ago. it’s heartbreaking when things were getting so much better. i thought i’d leave a better world than i found and now i doubt it

OK so as I’m sure you know I finished Radio Silence by thee Alice Oseman. I wanted to give y’all my thoughts and opinions, I’m sure some people don’t agree with me and that’s fine but that ending was really cute. It was definitely worth waiting when I could drive myself to work next (I only listen to audiobooks when I drive more than 20 minutes). I loved how Aled and Frances went to the YouTuber convention in the end after being invited, how Karis (I think that’s how you spell it) was February-Friday and how the letters were not in a romance sense like how people would think the letters would be to Daniel (which would be cute) but instead it was showing a twins love for his twin sister after not seeing or hearing from her in years. In the end though this Radio Silence was an amazing book to listen to, I will definitely listen to it again as because it was 100/10
