I am a religious viewer of @elle magazine and one of it’s articles I came across today is relatable to highschool me and college me. The ad talks about lifestyle brand, Coach and the launch of Dream It Real, which is a new initiative that supports the dreams of the next generation and provides them with the necessary skills and resources to achieve their goals. With the help of Selena Gomez and Michael B. Jordan Dream It Real is partnering with The Future Project which offers mentorship opportunities to highschool students across the country.
Coach’s initiative is to make dreams become a reality, so in partnership with The Future Project, they will hire trained leaders, organizers, and coaches to travel to schools and talk to students about creating their future project into something amazing. Coach and The Future Project both support the education of young students and believe they are the ones that are shaping this world.
Coach is one of my favorite brands and their philanthropies continue to hit home for me. I liked how they incorporated two major icons that set good examples today. With the help of Selena and Michael, Coach made a donation of $1.4 million to help further The Future Project's efforts to support Dream Directors nationwide. I also liked how the video incorporated student’s excitement about the project. This video will go viral into schools all over the world and everyone will be saying “Dream it Real”.
The ad and the video is short and sweet and brings up a very great point, however I think the ad can spread to other types of social media. Coach did multiple posts about the Dream It Real project on Instagram, but Selena and Michael did not. If Selena and Michael posted about the project it would get more outreach and interests from people all of the world.
