like i love researching how lds history is a lie and digging up all my religious trauma so i can examine it and thinking nonstop about all the ways god cant be real as much as the next guy, but it makes it so much harder to brush all that under the rug and go to church

i say "the BoM musical is an accurate representation of Mormons" and i feel like most people assume I'm talking about all the goofy stupid knocking on doors and repressed gay stuff . actually im mostly referring to how we're taught to repress everything because negative emotions are bad and to never question anything from a very young age to the point where we see it as normal and dont think theres anything wrong with it until its too late
