The society of sphinxes in clo culture are a mystery people with a protected culture. It is a defined law that they are not to be disturbed under any circumstances. Still it doesn’t seem to stop people from trying to find them and interact with the mythical and goddess like creatures.

They live in the Falling Isles. It’s a cluster of tight and various sized islands that for some reason remain close to one another. Though they still tend to shift and bounce around a bit in high weather.

The islands are small pockets of paradise, large and numerous collective of floating land that make up a small city in the sky. Clouds always circle  and lurk close with the isles. Water seems to flow endlessly from the springs inside of the islands. Waterfalls pour off of the islands. Sometimes the water reaches the oceans or cliffs below. But usually they mystify mid air on nice days helping create the eerie mist that protects the isles.

aj [8:13 PM] Dolly who loved pillowings since forever and learned to sew and craft because of them and her grandma

[8:14]   she is the one who made them extremely popular in clo

[8:14]   she commercialized them

[8:14]   even tho it was a casual idea people generally kinda knew about but didnt care

[8:14]   she made it huge and influenced it with her unique style

[8:14]   that's why they are specifically fox/canid looking

[8:14]   instead of being bugs, cats, so on

[8:15]   there will always be pillowings who do souly exist to be out there

[8:15]   and not typical.

[8:16]   and ya she sells contracts out and got classes with beginners to become pros

[8:16]   so it opens up crafters

[8:16]   and just personal made stuff

[8:17]   Dolly is extremely on the helpful creative side of the project

[8:17]   but the people who run her business so make her face it a bit colder and distant than she'd like

[8:17]   so you have the hard rules

[8:17]   She wanted to experiment

[8:17]   blue point where she had no inspiration for pillowings

[8:18]   so she made a lintling

[8:18]   a rodent

[8:18]   completely not okay by contract she accidentally made

[8:18]   but she's the creator she can do what she wants

[8:18]   overload of passion, emotions, spell gone wrong but we're not sure how yet

[8:18]   Mother Lintling is "born"

[8:18]   Dolly spends lot of time with her

[8:18]   they connect, they even communicate

[8:19]   but in the end even Dolly treats her like less, a pet, something at her beck and call

[8:19]   Mother Lint was not happy with this, she loved Dolly very much, but she wanted more.

[8:19]   And thus lintlings were born

[8:19]   but no one KNOWS where htey came from

[8:19]   lot of conspiracy theories by public yaddaya

[8:20]   thats why lintlings are so akin to humans

[8:20]   and want to befriend them

[8:20]   making them susceptible to training and becoming pets

[8:21]   But also have enough sense that they wouldn't sacrifice themselves based on being friendly with humans

[8:21]   so they have self survival instincts

[8:22]   so the company is the one who funded and rebranded pillowings to be expert hunters of lintlings

[8:23]   but dolly is the one who still helps promote healthy positive magic and that makes pillowings go either hunt mode or friend mode

[8:23]   I don't think any regular person can rehabilitate a corrupted pillowing.

[8:24]   Maybe a fresh/newer on in it's first few months to year? But after that it would be so imbue with negative magic artifacts/residue it would just have to be burned. If you ever caught Luther, he needs to be burned and purse the residue.

[8:25]   Dolly would be a great candidate for helping with a rehabilitated pillowing

[8:25]   But she has never completed the task

[8:25]   but I bet there would be just as equally amazing artisans/magicians who might take the time to help and do it. VERY taxing and takes months to years even then the rehab only does so much.

[8:25]   So it's usually just... never worth it.

[8:25]   You always just destroy them.

[8:26]   Hence why super crazy rare.

The cowl/hood scarf thing... Maybe it’s dark. Blues like her skies? Could be starry or constellations.
