DAYDREAMER X MIDNIGHT SPARKLE

“Oh, hello. Who are you? You look like some kind of deer… Are you magic?” Twilight asked, looking at the creature in front of her. He certainly didn’t look much like anything from her usual world. Although most of the creatures she met recently didn’t usually tend to.

"I'm a man-deer!" Chopper hoped that wasn't about to be too confusing. He tried simplifying the answer to its barest text to avoid further questions, but just to be on the safe side, he continued.

If she were back in her human world, she would probably try to catch this little man deer creature in order to do further tests on him and study him more. But considering she was so far away, and also currently a pony, that wasn’t really a possibility. But maybe she could still study him, in a way, by spending time with him and learning more about him through conversation. The concept of friendship and socializing was still a bit beyond her, however. Was it weird to invite someone you just met to do an activity with you? Honestly, she wasn’t sure. But she decided to give it a shot, anyway.

“Do you like ice cream? There’s a store near here that I visit whenever I’m around, they have the best ice cream. My treat! Maybe we can hang out and talk more there?” Twilight was happy he seemed so interested in magic. If he said yes, at least they would have a good conversation topic.

"I'm Chopper! Did you say magic? That's real!?" His eyes sparkled excitedly at the mere thought of such an incredible claim, not doubting it for an instant due to his own naiveté. "Can I learn it!? Is it fun to use!?"

Twilight smiled. “My name is Twilight Sparkle! And yes, magic is very real. Although…” She paused for a moment. In all this time she still hadn’t fully figured out how exactly to use it. Admitting that was embarrassing, and she was a fairly good liar, but only when she knew what she was actually talking about. If she lied about this, he would probably figure out the truth fairly quickly.

“Well, I’m not fully sure exactly how it works just yet. Although in my little experience actually using it - it is very fun to use.” She added with a smirk. Twilight had plenty of questions of her own, however.

“If you don’t mind me asking, what exactly are you?” Twilight asked, only realizing after she said it that it could perhaps come across as rude. She silently hoped it wouldn’t offend the creature in front of her.

“Yeah, I’ve been there. You just have to ignore it with the power of hyperfixation.”

"Besides, doesn't that just make the situation worse? Ya gotta face things sometime."

Twilight was surprised by how often she just ignored a problem, usually unintentionally, only for it to suddenly not be a problem anymore. “It could work!”
