        Again. Again—again. They’ve what, only seen each other for about           what’s BARELY five minutes. But those are the  EXACT  words,  the           same ones she’d said when she decided to stay with  the band force          of women; they’d been RIPPED apart…except now? Now this sounds         like a CHOICE. And— maybe that’s how it’d always been— so  much          for that HOPE he’d wanted to exist. Setting up camp. Wasn’t that ALL         they could do? Getting a fire started  to  avoid  conversation—or  just         needing it  to  START one. The first  thing  she says…should  he  be          surprised? There’s a lot of silence— now, now he’s REALLY not sure.                  “Addy…— “        Addy, she always wants to depend on herself; so why is this so hard?        WHY does he feel RESPONSIBLE for her? He knows she’s capable of       surviving, he knows she can do a lot. It’s selfish to not be ready, because       he knows he never WILL BE. This bantering…it’s not going to get lighter.              “ This is REALLY the first thing you’re saying?— after being separated                for what’s been…I don’t know, you know?— but a REALLY, REALLY                LONG TIME. I can get the fact you might want to be alone, but if we’re               still doing this together— I mean it’s a joke, right? US?— I need you               to look at me, Addy. There’s a lot to talk about, and if we can’t at least                communicate, then—then I let you go, right? I mean— it’s pretty clear,                that you’re done, and…god, it kills me when you’re so closed off—you                  hold it all in. You don’t trust me. We used to talk about everything— “      His eyes avert from the fire to her consistently, like he’s trying to distract. All of        this, it’s SUPPRESSED. Bottled up for a long time…he wouldn’t have thrown         it out this way…BUT IT SEEMS HOPELESS. God he loves her, he’ll always         just be there regardless— but it’s hard—IT’S SO HARD TO FIX something          that doesn’t want to be fixed. It’s selfish to expect her to respond...maybe she          just DOESN’T.            “Might as well just get it out there— since it’s feeling like goodbye-              I mean...we can’t keep stepping around this, so tell me the truth,              you know—tell me why you feel this way, I wanna know. C’mon              Addy— give me something to work with—PLEASE. ‘

     “Uh...yeah. Yeah I saw it.” It’s weird because he’s not used to 10k talking,         AT ALL actually. Though he couldn’t help but sense the slightest amount         of a verbal pointing of fingers. Right at him. He’d had his own REASONS.          All collectively, probably really selfish for one. ( when Addy went into that         cult type way of living ) That fucked him up. No thinking straight, nothing.         SELFISH.          Maybe he should’ve stayed with the group. That wouldn’t have changed        him though, he’d still be where he is now. Because his  flaw,  if  it’s  not         already  so  obvious  ( he won’t leave her behind )  The  priority  at  best,         is Addy. But for now he’ll put things at bay. They’ll stay there because          everything’s scattered. BETRAYAL in bold words at the center of his          mind.                “I don’t know—waited around, for Addy. Guess that cult-driven                  haven shot itself into the ground...can’t say I’m really surprised,                 but...—yeah, all good.” Those words are dry, they’re bitter. No                 one needs to know the context though. Too bad.
