“I’m actually a good mixture of Saiyan and human genes. Although my halfie status is kind of complicated with my parents’ halfie statuses as well…so who are you, exactly?”

    ❛ Halfie? ❜ huh! Burter had never heard that term before, and as curious as he was, he had found himself oddly confused. So, this person was a hybrid of sorts? That must be a rarity. Little had he thought it would be that easy for species to find that they were compatible. After all, weren’t humans... Fragile?

Although he would usually pick Yoshi as opposed to the other characters in the game, Goten didn’t mind changing it for a bit this time around. After all, he just butted in his place to play video games with his considered-to-be uncle. 

At least he had an excuse as to why he was there, as his mother made sweets she wanted him to gift it to them. Goten was still clutching to the little baggie with homemade cookies, almost forgetting that he actually brought them. Looking over to the character selection, his mind sparked, being reminded of what he had brought.

“ Oh yeah! My momma made cookies for you! She told me to bring them to you as a thank you for looking over me! “ Goten said, quoting Chi-Chi’s words as he grabbed the baggie that was neatly wrapped, handing it over.

“ They’re vanilla and chocolate! They’re my favourites! “

    ❛ Aww, now! She didn’t have to do that, ❜ with a chuckle, he ruffles Gohan’s hair, before gratefully taking the offered sweets from Goten, them being quite small compared to his hand ( but all the more of an excuse to keep them all for himself-- fable being that Son Chi-Chi is quite the cook ). ❛ You and Trunks’re always welcome over, you know? Spices our days up. You wouldn’t imagine how droll it can get here. ❜

    ❛ -- But I suppose that’s coming from an oversized lizard monster, huh? ❜ with one hand, he opens his gift, perhaps just the slightest bit excited to have received such an unwarranted candy. Chocolates... His favorite. ❛ You guys aren’t so bad, you know? ❜

SMALL ?   was he—  he was,   he was really commenting on her height,  wasn’t he ?  response is silenced within her throat,   caught as a muffled noise (  clearly offended  ).   arms cross defensively.   “   maybe you’re just abnormally tall.  ”   though uptight,   her temper is easily kept in check.   goku … huh.   since when was goku considered short  ?   maybe to HIM,  he was seriously tall after all.  “   not many humans have blue skin either.   ”  it wasn’t hard to pick him from a crowd.   it was obvious he wasn’t human,   and given he knew goku too …

suddenly,   her gaze drifts towards his torso.  to be exact,   a familiar looking crest.  huh,  well that’s interesting.  “   have I … seen that symbol before  ?   ”

    ❛ Hey, now. It’s not that much of a negative thing, is it? You humanoid types are cute like that-- I’d say a shorter height gives you an advantage in most situations, ‘specially if you can still fly, ❜ Burter chuckles, used to the comments on his own height. There were so few people he knew that were actually taller than him, he had to have his fun somehow.

    He finds himself giving an amused chuckle, crossing his arms as his curiosity grows. Symbol?     Oh-- his armor. Hell, he had forgotten all about that.

    A wide smile stretches across his lips, turning to greet the voice that just walked through the door of the apartment. He’d had a few hours to himself-- Jeice out doing something-or-other, leaving Burter to his own, quiet devices. The entire apartment seemed to be enveloped in a sleepy haze, blankets and pillows strewn all about the floor, illuminated if only by the dim light of string lights hanging upon the walls, and the screen of the TV set within an armoire.

    A small smile would escape the serpent, but it hardly seemed to contain any malice, instead, Burter seemed almost amused, putting his hand on his hips as he cocked his head.
