Now that I have actual proof he’s in the movie, I need to watch this movie NEOW

I want him alive so badly that I think he's come up with an alternate plan to protect both girls. He wakes up all groggy in the hospital and decides to fake his death because he realizes how risky it is to leave Eve alone and hunted while he rescues Lena. He is not at all amused that she is going to Ruska Roma, but he knows there will be no safer place (and it will only be for a while) before she graduates. But he is kidnapped before he can get to Lena or get back to Eve. By whom? the director who betrayed him and told him that eve would inevitably become Ruska Roma from the moment he decided to rescue her from the cult. Seems to me there's an inherent talent dispute between the two traditions, right? Anyway, I hate that Lena is dead. The revelation was wasted. Lena should have been the last champion eve would face.
