Diego is not only capable of manipulating the movement of objects, but also his own. He can jump higher than anyone else and I don't know if you've ever noticed it, there's something particular about his landings, sometimes it feels like he's falling at a slower speed.
He bends laws of physics just like Five does. his approach is more classical slower-than-light Newtonian, so the math behind his power is easier, but it's still connected to Five's, meaning it's at least referential to his spatial jumps.
On the other hand, I don't know if this take is controversial, but to me it's pretty obvious that Five isn't naturally athletic. His way of approaching things is very technical. when he fights or uses his power, he has already established a method. he points out that Lila fights like any other commission agent like he knows very well the structure of that fighting style and he's more than comfortable using his power: presented as a mental formula, he can be creative with it and doesn't have to rely too much on physicality (flashback to that race as a kids) unlike Diego, who leads with feeling and his agility. Diego does not memorize form or theory, his skill is instinctive and very natural.
there is always a trick when it comes to translating technical knowledge into a practical implementation. I guess Diego was able to give him an insight on both power and fighting skills. but It was probably mutual.
