— Putting an ear to the mouth/chest to listen for breathing;

— Methodically unbuttoning the shirt before performing CPR;

— Touching the abdomen to locate the spot for the Heimlich;

— Wiping saliva from slightly parted lips;

— Taking a few seconds to check the pulse;

— Parting limp lips with the tongue/holding the "kiss" a moment longer than necessary;

— Patting the back or chest (not for the purpose of providing real help);

— Looking down the throat (preferably by pressing down on/pulling out the tongue);

— Teasing cold, gasping lips with hot breath;

— pick up the victim to move it to another surface;

— straddle the thighs/place a knee between the thighs;
