Let's try this again!
Okay, so….
I'd planned on connecting three worlds with Traveler: Cottonwood Hills, Kaleeko's Riverview, and Grey's Harbor. But I went way overboard in putting pretty much all the families I was interested in and a lot of the community lots I thought were really neat, and I kept getting lots of crashing and Error 12s. I put so many sims and lots into Cottonwood Hills, especially, that I'm too embarrassed to go into it!
(Spoiler alert: not actual gameplay.)
Here's my plan right now: to have a few more worlds (so I can spread out the population more) and try my best to not get carried away.
Since Sims 3 is supposed to take place before Sims 1, which was released in 2000, I've decided to set this whole thing to start in 1980. Not everyone looks period-appropriate yet, though! I'm trying to make over sims slowly so that I don't get overwhelmed.
Cottonwood Hills is for… well, the Sunset Valley sims, along with younger versions of some of the Sims 1 sims. It comes with a great gym, a great museum with all kinds of exhibits, and the Landgraab Science Center, which is making exciting advances in technology!
Like I said, I haven't added all the buildings I'd like to yet!
(Kaleeko's) Riverview has farms, of course, and will have a farmer's market with high-quality produce. This is a great town to have pets, since I'm going to be trying out a veterinarian's office with Open Careers. If they get bitten by fleas, they can stop by and use the pet hygieneator. There are plenty of parks, and during fall, there's going to be an especially exciting harvest festival with hayrides and everything!
Ahh, the heartland! You can see a couple of Tedhi's buildings here!
Greymont Bay is my college town. I'm especially trying to not load this up with lots of sims, since this can be somewhere I can send Sims that I'm not interested in sending back to their hometowns. There are going to be a good amount of social group ameneties, though, since college is a time to expand your horizons, right?
I'm looking forward to trying out trin303's dorms!
While technically I'm using Grey's Harbor as a replacement for Moonlight Falls, I'm still going to be referring to it as Moonlight Falls, since the names Grey's Harbor and Greymont Bay are so similar! As you might guess, this is a (mostly) safe haven for supernaturals.
I'm also trying to add some Magic Town touches by adding a few circus lots with Showtime stages, along with more of the Magic Town vibes - shabby and spooky, slightly-creepy circus, and beautiful fairy meadows.
No pictures of those areas yet, but there will be! Mark my words!
And the last that I'm planning is a city world where I can put sims in the film career and sims pursuing a serious career and music! I'm putting some of the Bridgeport sims and Starlight Shores sims here.
I'd like to have a smaller city, since I was having so many errors and so much crashing! I'm trying out this Starlight Shores revamp, and I'm putting some of the sims from Bridgeport and the original Starlight Shores here. (I can't wait to share my makeovers of the Atkins family!)
Annabel Gooder will probably spend as much time as she can at Champagne's and Alta Tower!
That's about it for now. I'm sorry that I don't have many pictures of the worlds themselves yet, but hopefully I can post some interesting stuff soon!
