“It’s alright, Nny.” Iris smiles softly at him as they look over the painting he’d made. a painted mess of strokes and lines that resembled one of their shop’s signature arrangements.

They had been encouraging their dear friend to pick up painting again and despite his shaky lines and wild brush strokes, Iris admired each piece Nny made. so being gifted a painting from him made their heart fill with joy and adoration.

“It’s very lovely”

“ You really think so? ” Nny asked cautiously in a hushed voice. He awkwardly fidgeted with his hands, silently picking at the skin near his nails.

Sure, he used to be quite the painter and artist in general back in the day, but it’s been years since he’s held a brush at all. His confidence in his abilities was minimal, hell even nonexistent at this point. Nonetheless, he did what they encouraged him to do and painted. When he finished his piece, he only felt it was right to give it to them.
