Hiya! Im sure u probably get this alot but,, how do u deal with artblock? Lately ive been in a p big slump, not only do i flat just not like most of my art but im also running low on inspiration and ideas. And for some reason this on feels much longer than my usual blocks. Your stuff is really inspiring so i wanna hear your take on it!

How I see it, is that our learning curve doesnāt work in a constant pattern. There is a significant time period between when we seeĀ better, and when we draw better. This is what in the art is called āArt Blockā.
Itās not just art where this happens. Art is a skill, and this happens with every single skill you practice. I have similarĀ āblocksā when playing a viola and most extremely when doing martial arts. Every couple months I have a period of time when I feel like every single thing Iām trying, every single move Iām struggling through doesnāt come out how it should. Even worse, I feel like I have forgotten even the things that I was able to do before.Ā
THE TRUTH IS youāre not doing worse. Youāre doing just as wellĀ as you did couple weeks ago. The only difference is that you BRAIN has learned to do things better, but your MUSCLE MEMORY hasnāt yet caught up with the new information. The bigger step youāre taking, the bigger block youāre having.
So whatās the answer to get over Art Block?
Cringe your teeth together and keep drawing. Even if it looks HORRIBLE just keep going. Your arm just have to learn what your brain knows already, and only way to teach it is to make it work for it. :)Ā
