If Alisha was to become a general worthy of protecting her people for years to come the required amount paper and meeting quota that she had to fill had to be juggled with precision. Whilst surprise visits bore the means of making what would be a wonted day into a wonderful one.  Yet the small bubble of frustration the fair haired princess is hard to maintain. Frustration aimed not at Rose but rather herself. Truly, she had no reason to be surprised by the lack of warning, it wasn’t exactly Rose’s… style? That was the term befitting of the situation right?

“You should have warned me prior to your arrival Rose.” It was with a small sigh of ( fond ?) exasperation that the princess knight greets the other woman all the same, her quilt in hand and prepped for her inevitable signature signing.

 “I would have at the very least tried to shift what arrangements I could around so that I might give you my proper attention instead of forcing you to be holed up in my study alongside the latest treaty agreement.”

She usually sent word that she was visiting the princess after finding out something that could possibly be important and vital to Hyland. But this time... Oh, this time she’d found out something bad. Instead of sending word, Rose had made the trip via windstep. She’d used everything she could to get there quicker, to at least warn Alisha before that happened.

It was easier to wait in Alisha’s study instead of trying to find her. The princess did all sorts of different stuff here, so it was the better choice in the long run. When Alisha chided her, Rose didn’t do anything but nod at that. How to tell her?

“I know, Princess.” Her voice was cold, more formal, and a bit like her Scattered Bones side. Business was at hand here. “It was easier to come directly to you than to send word. I don’t know if it’d be intercepted.”

Rose stepped towards Alisha, glancing behind her. She saw Lailah give a nod, and then looked back at Alisha. “Trouble’s coming. I heard a plot to assassinate you, and they’re implementing it tonight. Seems people really hate that you’re working on these treaties.

Certainly, this was Rose’s first trip to the Far East (and Kugane), but she hadn’t expected that. And, on top of that, she looked a bit familiar.
