8L 8B Pineapple knot Type 1 based on a 5L 4B turks head knot with a hangloop à la Tom Hall. This ties with both ends once the loop is created.

Russian Couple Adopted An Orphaned Bear 23 Years Ago, And They Still Live Together
Stephan is a domesticated bear who lives with his human parents Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko in Moscow, Russia. He was adopted as orphaned sub at the tender age of three-months old. Found by hunters in the forest under horrible conditions, the Panteleenkos decided to give him a home and love
Over a decade later, Stepan has fully integrated himself into his new family and now even helps them water the plants and loves watching TV.
The beautiful mammal eats about 25 kg of fish, vegetables and eggs daily. Due to his friendly and domesticated nature, he keeps himself busy with acting in films and posing for photo shoots. See his latest photo shoot below.

We are living in a culture entirely hypnotised by the illusion of time, in which the so-called present moment is felt as nothing but an infinitesimal hairline between an all-powerfully causative past and an absorbingly important future. We have no present. Our consciousness is almost completely preoccupied with memory and expectation. We do not realise that there never was, is, nor will be any other experience than present experience. We are therefore out of touch with reality. We confuse the world as talked about, described, and measured with the world which actually is. We are sick with a fascination for the useful tools of names and numbers, of symbols, signs, conceptions and ideas.

A 2-coloured interweave as type one to a 9L 8B THK. Inspired by Skyout (on IGKT) aka Richard "Forgothissurname" on FB. Unfortunately the picture on Pinterest did not open on the original IGKT Forum site, so I can't post a link. And he did not visually create an exact 2-coloured PK interweave but he made one interweave colour more prominent by always laying it on top of the other. I chose to create a traditional look though by looking at his knot. Took a few attempts to get it right although I dabbled with similar interweaves. Both are 5L 4B MWKs.
A nice ABOK #3035 failure. This is supposed to create a triangular sennit.
20L 20B 2-pass Sobre Pineapple knot type 1. Although I tied it as a Catherine knot (Bruce Grant's Encyclopedia of Rawhide and Leather Braiding) - I tied the blue one first.
8L 15B Sobre Samuel knot
Beautiful human, greatly missed.

Two 8L 23B Samuel knot bracelets (found the name for that pattern on Charles Hamel's page later) I find this a bit more interesting than a simple turks Head knot. Left one is a regular \//\//\ and right one is sobre /\\/\\/ . Begins with a 2L 5B turks head knot. No grid maker, grids, pins were used. Although you need a mandrel. Otherwise you'd end up having tightened it too much.

My dream home - or a possible dream home. I like all kinds of architecture... but deep down in my heart, yes, I would pick this.
What if we shift the question from ‘who do I want to be?’ to the question, ‘what kind of life do I want to live with others?’? It seems to me that then many of the questions you pose about happiness, but perhaps also about ‘the good life’ – very ancient yet urgent philosophical questions – take shape in a new way. If the I who wants this name or seeks to live a certain kind of life is bound up with a ‘you’ and a ‘they’ then we are already involved in a social struggle when we ask how best any of us are to live.
Judith Butler interviewed by Sara Ahmed (via lazz)
Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.
Andrew Boyd, Daily Afflictions: The Agony of Being Connected to Everything in the Universe (via victoriousvocabulary)
The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake. Sing in the shower. Dance to the radio. Tell stories. Write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possible can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something.

13L 6B 2-pass long Gaucho knot. Whilst I can tie a 13L 4B 2-pass Gaucho and a 13L 6B 3-pass Gaucho, this one stumped me. Used the Advanced Gridmaker by John Allwine to make it. Tied it on the object just following the runlist. The pattern wasn't too hard and I haven't yet analysed it fully. I am building my database of all turks head knots and gaucho ie headhunters. In the form of the chemical elements chart I will show the relations of all knots so that one will only need a handful of techniques to tie every turks head ie Gaucho/Headhunter. I guess it has been done before, but I like the exercise of the mind and the independence of gadgets. The sparingly used Advanced Grid maker helps me fill some gaps
