The 1995 version of Sense and Sensibility with Alan Rickman as Col. Brandon is my go-to movie when I need to escape the world for a bit. Brandon was my first literary crush 😍 It’s a beautiful film however it reminds me what we’ve lost. Alan Rickman was a wonderful actor and a first class human being.

A year on...
and it still feels like my heart hasn't entirely recovered from the death of Alan Rickman. I always knew his death would hit me hard and it did. Today I've watched several of his films, I had to stop watching TMD couldn't face that one today, it's wrapped up with too many memories of both him and someone else who was very dear to me (some day I'll be able to watch it again.) Today, watching his films, I've cried and I've laughed. I'm glad we have an extensive and diverse back catalogue with which to remember him and smile. Thoughts, as always, are with Rima, his family and his friends. 'To the well organised mind, death is the next great adventure.' Fairfarren, Mr Rickman.
