Mabel Pines is based on Mabel from Gravity Falls. She is a 25 year old human, candy shop employee, and uses she/her pronouns. She has no powers. Mabel is portrayed by Fivel Stewart.
mabel has always been loud about the fact that she is indeed the older twin. nothing sums up her relationship with dipper more than the fact that she thinks she is a pesky older sister. in all seriousness, since she was born it has been her and dipper. for most of her life they have been each other's missing half. with them being older and trying to be their own people, it was hard to accept that maybe dipper was more well-adjusted than she was at times. not that she would EVER admit that out loud.
childhood is clearly something she still clings onto to this day. she still collects stickers (and has the most organized sticker books anyone has ever seen), she hoards stuffed animals, she wears butterfly clips in her hair, and she is proud of it. she knows people look at her funny for it but she doesn't care (all the time). she would rather be living up her life than being so boring and serious like some people she knew.
when pacifica went missing mabel knew what the right thing to do was. even though she could not stand the blonde on most days for the way she treated her and her brother, she knew she was going through a lot and needed a helping hand since she clearly didn't have anyone else running up to save her at the time. finding pacifica led to a knew adventure and mabel was ecstatic because that meant that she could cling onto their adventures one more time.
downside to the new adventure? her mind was kind of turning into soup. at least her memories were. with this memory soup she had a hard time remembering things she's seen before and things she cherished the most back home. she's been keeping diaries and writing down every important thought she ever has, but to her a lot of her thoughts are important so it's tricky. she is sure as long as she has waddles and her trusty grappling hook by her side that she can totally fill in the missing gaps.
regardless she was determined to make a life in evermore for the time being. she was coasting through life as she has been, but it was totally fine (it is not). she has an awesome job at a candy store and that alone is enough to make her take her sweet time on the case her brother probably cares about more than her.
she is not a fighter by nature but if someone messes with dipper, she is ready to throw hands. she will not hesitate to defend her brother at all times.
she really has no idea what she is going to do with her life once there are no more mysteries for her to help solve. she's sure dipper has his entire life mapped out but she is just worried that despite being talented in just about everything that she'll never find something permanent. she longs to know what her calling is but is too stubborn to really look for it. she used to joke about becoming the president someday but she really isn't sure if that is it. she hasn't even told dipper how much her inability to pick a life path keeps her up at night. she doesn't want him to worry she's spiraling or anything like that.
when it comes to romance, mabel is as delulu as it comes. it started when she was young and it never really went away. she is still hoping to date a vampire someday but until then she is keeping her options open. well, more so she gets bored of people kinda fast and crushes faster. she also can be a bit aggressive when it comes to telling a crush she likes them, but she's cute, so that surely makes up for it. she also tends to change her personality for her crushes at times but she has gotten a lot better with it since getting a bit older. she is very loudly bisexual.
she hasn't hated anyone in her life. she has been jealous about plenty of things and people and she doesn't understand why some people are so downright cruel, but she doesn't let herself hate. hating takes too much energy and she could be pouring all of that into her many hobbies.
she is constantly knitting herself sweaters. they are her go-to. she has so many that she had to rent out storage space so that she could keep them all somewhere. she has well beyond enough for every single day of the year. she likes to knit sweaters for her friends and family constantly.
when she isn't knitting there is a good chance she is scrapbooking. she has a passion for photography and likes to document almost all moments that feel special to her. she knows social media is the easier route these days but she thinks both is a more secure thing.
she likes to think she's pretty tough, but she can easily be bribed with sprinkles, glitter, stickers, cute hats...well, maybe she is a bit easy to bribe. but if it comes down to a sick bribe or her family, she is choosing family first. family always comes first to her.
her brother's podcast inspired her to create a podcast of her own. she calls it "mabel's guide..." and well, each episode is her guide to whatever topic she chooses. she likes to bring people from town to chat about whatever she sees fit. she loves gossiping so she tends to talk for....a very long time. she tried to do a youtube channel originally but dipper has all this podcast equipment...she might as well use it!
she is very passionate about mini golf. she is a natural at it and can get extremely competitive with it. what she says at mini golf isn't personal, it's just mini golf.
if she likes you, she will make you a playlist. she thinks music is the gateway to the soul. she is not a skilled singer or musician, but she still goes hard at karaoke. despite not being a gifted singer she knows how to get the crowd going.
she has a huge twilight phase when she was younger. oh it was bad. team edward all the way though! if edward was real, she knows she would let him bite her and be his vampire bride.
she is a big fan of writing love letters, making lists; a lot of it is for her own selfish reasons but she likes to categorize her interests and things that interest her. she also just likes getting all the love in her out on paper. she thinks she has a pretty good way with words.
very very big on boy bands. no one gets in-between her and her boy bands. all of them are very special to her and she has archived self-insert fanfiction involving many boy bands. sometimes all of them.
