I’m sorry!

I miss it too, Dear Asker.

There’s been much going on behind the scenes..I’m pretty sure all that’s needed is my response haha.

I’ve been suffering a lot of burnout and stress aswell, but I try to get back here as often as I can.

(Ford calls, dragging a cooler alongside him and onto one of the many docks at Lake Gravity Falls—This one in particular just happens to be more secluded than the rest of them.

He huffs as he tugs the cooler to the edge, having to take a minute before he sits down. He sits crisscrossed.

He waits. Cracks his knuckles out of habit.

His eyes fix on the water below him.)

[Calypso pokes her head out of the water, her eyes wide and sparkling at the sight of Ford]

I said I would—It’d be impolite not to.

(He pulls a small notebook and pen out of his coat pocket.)

This cooler is full of every kind of meat I could get my hands on. I’ll record the ones that you like.

(Ford opens the lid, pulling out mystery meat #1!)

—I know, nothing will probably ever compare to the taste of flesh, but we’ll figure something out—You’ve done it before—But you won’t be on your own, this time.

[She reaches out, somewhat hesitantly, taking the piece of lamb meat Stanford held. She clearly was trying to avoid his gaze]

(He writes in the notebook.)

—But,

When you’re so desperate—When you feel like you’ve got nowhere else to go—

And that—Cruel individual—Mabel settled on the name, “Wrongzilla,’ for them, I believe—

(Ford sighs and grabs the next mystery meat out of the cooler. He stares down at his hand that rests on the lid after closing it.)

—Someone was promising you something you thought impossible—You needed saving, and Bill convinced you that he was the savior.

A facade. A FRIEND, he claimed.

(He holds the next meat out, his hands trembling.)

Neither of us should feel bad for being tricked. For being lied to. Bill used and manipulated us in many ways. I know I don’t know a lot about what happened between you and him, but you don’t deserve to carry that guilt around.

[She pulls herself out of the water and onto the dock, taking a seat next to Ford with her tail dangling over the edge. She squeezes Ford’s hand slightly.]

I don’t know any other way to live, Calypso.

(His gaze goes to their hands—The scars on his hand.)

I’ve managed well, since I’ve returned home—I have a support system, and people who often make an effort to ensure that I’m okay—And, for the most part, I am.

—But I’m still always reminded of my mistakes—I’m the embodiment.

You know…in siren culture, scars are a badge of honor. They show how you have survived even the hardest of battles. To me, they are beautiful.

[She lifts Ford’s hand and places a kiss on the back of his palm, before smiling at Ford]

I do not think anyone one could have prevented Bill, Stanford. No matter what, he would have always found someone to manipulate and use. But I do not think anyone else could have stopped him. I think you need to give yourself more credit—, to realize that you made a mistake—, but you fixed it.

[She places a hand on Ford’s cheek]

*Cy comes up to you and hugs you with its wings*

if you see leaves on the ceiling, you have to kiss the nearest person! I'd assume that'd be ford, knowing your... relationship.
