I am afraid that like many others, my Gravity Falls fixation did gradually dwindle, and my constant attempts at trying to keep myself invested eventually led to a bad burnout as well as a mental health tumble.
But after a long hiatus, I do believe that I am ready to return and get these gears turning again.

(Ford calls, dragging a cooler alongside him and onto one of the many docks at Lake Gravity FallsâThis one in particular just happens to be more secluded than the rest of them.
He huffs as he tugs the cooler to the edge, having to take a minute before he sits down. He sits crisscrossed.
He waits. Cracks his knuckles out of habit.
His eyes fix on the water below him.)

[Calypso pokes her head out of the water, her eyes wide and sparkling at the sight of Ford]

(He couldnât help but give her a smile.)
I said I wouldâItâd be impolite not to.
(He pulls a small notebook and pen out of his coat pocket.)
This cooler is full of every kind of meat I could get my hands on. Iâll record the ones that you like.
(Ford opens the lid, pulling out mystery meat #1!)
âI know, nothing will probably ever compare to the taste of flesh, but weâll figure something outâYouâve done it beforeâBut you wonât be on your own, this time.
(He scoots closer to the edge. Pulling the cling wrap off the meat and holding it out to her, he tries to look reassuring.)

[She reaches out, somewhat hesitantly, taking the piece of lamb meat Stanford held. She clearly was trying to avoid his gaze]
With everything Bill did while possessing me, I would understand if you never wanted to see me again. Especially after my song was used toâŚ
Well, Iâd be lying if I said I wasnât frustrated, at first.
(He writes in the notebook.)

(Ford sighs and grabs the next mystery meat out of the cooler. He stares down at his hand that rests on the lid after closing it.)
âSomeone was promising you something you thought impossibleâYou needed saving, and Bill convinced you that he was the savior.
A facade. A FRIEND, he claimed.
(He holds the next meat out, his hands trembling.)
Iâve been there.
[Calypso pushes away the meat, though keeps her hand placed on Fordâs hand as she stares into his eyes. Itâs a mix of sadness and understanding]
Neither of us should feel bad for being tricked. For being lied to. Bill used and manipulated us in many ways. I know I donât know a lot about what happened between you and him, but you donât deserve to carry that guilt around.
[She pulls herself out of the water and onto the dock, taking a seat next to Ford with her tail dangling over the edge. She squeezes Fordâs hand slightly.]
We donât have to live with those mistakes weighing us down. We donât deserve that. You donât deserve that.
(Heâs taken aback, looking back into Calypsos eyes. He chuckles, but it sounds pained.)
I donât know any other way to live, Calypso.
(His gaze goes to their handsâThe scars on his hand.)
Iâve managed well, since Iâve returned homeâI have a support system, and people who often make an effort to ensure that Iâm okayâAnd, for the most part, I am.
âBut Iâm still always reminded of my mistakesâIâm the embodiment.
I could have prevented it. All of it.
[She drags her fingers along the scars on his hands, frowning before looking up]
You knowâŚin siren culture, scars are a badge of honor. They show how you have survived even the hardest of battles. To me, they are beautiful.
[She lifts Fordâs hand and places a kiss on the back of his palm, before smiling at Ford]
I do not think anyone one could have prevented Bill, Stanford. No matter what, he would have always found someone to manipulate and use. But I do not think anyone else could have stopped him. I think you need to give yourself more creditâ, to realize that you made a mistakeâ, but you fixed it.
[She places a hand on Fordâs cheek]
You should not have to carry this burden, Stanford Pines. You should allow yourself to be happy. Because Bill wants you to be miserable, to suffer in your guilt until you crawl back to him. So you should thrive. Thrive and have joy to show him that he has no power over you anymore.
