It’s a peaceful morning in the Argrest household. And in the room of Adrien Argrest he lays in his bed sleeping through the morning. Truly, a calm and tranquil morning.

But then… Adrien felt off. On his bed he noticed the sudden weight on it. Then, he noticed a sudden weight over him. And then… there was this piercing presence he was feeling as well.

Slowly, Adrien opened his eyes to see the cause of the sudden discomfort.

What he did not expect… was the new presence of a person over top of him. A person slim in frame, with a gaze almost manic pupils almost a swirl of color with blue as its primary. Said gaze almost piercing as if to stare through him all the way through the floor.

Then, the girl spoke in a manic tone giggling all the way.

???:Aaaaaadrikiiiinsss~ hehehehe, you ready for schoooooolll~!?

Now, while most would probably scream or fall into some sort of fear. Adrien stared at the girl instead. Not in fear, more so in slight confusion and surprise… as if this was normal.

After a moment of silence her responded…

Adrien:.... Yes?

Cut to Collège Françoise Dupont:

In the halls of the Collège, we cut to Marinette. On her way to school, after getting up late and helping an old man on the way there, she ran into a new student who was joining her class named Alya.

As the two walked the halls Marinette told Alya everything about the people in their class. They had made it to the classroom door when she was about to talk about a certain blonde…

???: MARINETTE!!!!

Both girls jumped as another firl skidded in front of them from the other side.

Her orange hair was a mess standing on end in a few places, her glasses slightly off, out of breath with tired, yet panicked eyes.

Marinette: S-Sabrina!? Wha-

Before she could finish Sabrina quickly put her self together then grasped Marinette’s hands in panic desperation.

Sabrina: Marinette, h-have you seen at all on your way here!?

That actually got Marinette more shocked than the initial moment while confusing Alya slightly.

Marinette: Wait… she didn’t walk with you?

Sabrina: N-no! When I got to the hotel the staff told me she already left with me! I don’t know how she-

Alya: ummm

Both looked at Alya.

Alya: The Chloe you mention, do you mean-?

Before anything Sabrina apologized for her sudden outburst at the two and introduced herself to Alya as they sat down.

Sabrina: I don’t know how I could have lost her on the first day…

Marinette: It's not your fault Sabrina, she was already gone before you even got there.

Sabrina(comedic crying): Still~! I know her, I should have gone earlier~. Where could she have gone!?

In the middle of this, Alya chimed in.

Alya: Soooo- can I get filled in? We’re acting like the girl’s a toddler.

Marinette chimes in.

Marinette: w-well… it’s just, Chloe has always been… quirky…?

Suddenly, Sabrina’s phone began to buzz. She opened it to see that it was a text from Chloe. It read…

(GOT ADRIKINS! ON THE WAY!!!:))

There was a silence for a second before Marinette responded.

Marinette: A-a-Adrien’s coming!?

Alya: Wait, like Adrien Argrest of the Argrest fashion brand?

Marinette shook her head frantically. Then Alya turned to Sabrina.

Alya: So I guess that answers where she is. No need to worry right?

Sabrina kept staring at her phone with a neutral expression. Not saying a word.

Marinette: Sabrina?

Sabrina: Adrien’s not supposed to be coming…

A&M: huh?

Sabrina: Chloe asked Mr. Argrest a week earlier… he said no…

Alya looked confused: But, she said she’s heading here with him.

Sabrina flipped her phone towards the girls and pointed specifically at the first two words.

(GOT ADRIKINS!)

While Alya was still confused, Marinette slowly began to understand what the wording meant.

Marinette: y-you don’t think…

She looks at Sabrina. Expression still in a neutral frown.

Marinette: she-she wouldn’t…

Sabrina’s frown deepens.

Alya: ummm, girls? You're both acting like she just kidnapped him.

Both girls only stared at her. Marinette with a look of exasperation worry, all while Sabrina was still frowning as comical tears started to show on her face.

Alya: She… she wouldn’t just kidnap Gabriel Argrest’s son… would she…?

There was a short silence as all three girls stared at each other.

At that moment, one of the other kids in the class chimed in.

Alex: bet 20 she gets restrained again.

Keep in mind, I got the idea of this AU from Deltarune Chapter 5’s OST Flower man.

Divergence: The separation of one from a common starting point.

In this AU, its diverging point happens at the beginning of a child Chloe Bourgeois. The event involves the child and an interaction with her mother… a very negative interaction with her mother.

 This interaction would become the starting point for a divergence in Chloe’s life. Essentially, her character would diverge into different versions of Chloe on different timelines. Each one’s personality and story vary from the other. They would each be based on the different kwami that exist in the story basically being variants based on each miraculous.

All would face the same events, but with different outcomes for each.

Chloe Variants:

Bee Chloe: this version of Chloe is about the same as canon Chloe. After that event with her mother, Chloe would attempt to act just like her mother for her validation. A high and mighty character that looked down on people while using who her mother and father was to do and get what she wants. She follows the same beats as canon Chloe and her arc would be the falling from her high horse and rebuilding herself from being her mother. She is essentially canon Chloe in terms of her hero self.

Ox Chloe: hurt by what was said, scarred by the event. This Chloe closed her heart and became a delinquent. Easily agitated and willing to throw a punch, this variant grew up rough and untrusting of anyone. Refusing to let most get close to her emotionally. Mostly able to get away with it due to her fathers love (and fear) of her. This led to her being isolated from people and those people being too scared of her to approach. The only few who she ever let in were her friends Sabrina and Adrien. Because they knew that the violent and angry surface was a facade hiding a very sad and damaged girl too scared to emotionally connect. Who chooses to lash out and frighten others away to avoid being hurt again. This Chloe would later get the Ox Miraculous and among her variants is the physically strongest of them. 

Cat Chloe: her love rejected, this Chloe chose the path of defiance. If she could not get love from her mother, then better to invite her ire. Growing up she became a defiant and rebellious youth who would actively choose rebellious and dangerous acts to gain attention. From getting a tattoo to agreeing to dangerous activities, this leads to her getting into trouble which she actively knows and chooses not to care about. This leads to her dads constant worry and fear of her safety (leading to even hiring people just to watch over her and so she doesn’t do anything dangerous) and her mothers’ near rejection of her. Of her classmates, some like the rebel that is Chloe while they all agree that her wanting to risk her life isn’t a long term healthy mindset. This variant would be the one who’d receive the Cat Miraculous, while her partner would be Alex instead of Marinette who’d get the Ladybug Miraculous. Her arc is one of stopping her self-harming ways and actually caring about herself more. Among her variants she is the most wild of them and the biggest risk taker. 

Ladybug Chloe: Crushed, this variant immediately looked for isolation to drown in her sorrow. After finding a room to hide in, she wallowed in her pain. After a bit she noticed in the room were pencils and paper. She doesn’t know what compelled her, nor why she reached for them. But soon she found herself drawing on it… and kept drawing. Page after page, she expressed her pain on every inch of paper she had. It was only when she had nothing else to write on did she notice the stacks among stacks of drawing she had made. Afterwards, what would have been a one time thing evolved into a regular pass time for her. Day after day she would put her emotions into every page she got a hold of. Through this, she found for the first time… genuine happiness. After a while, this variant made a decision for herself. No more chasing the impossible, instead following a path that was actually fulfilling. This Chloe is much more friendly and creative compared to canon. And she focuses more on art rather than forcing the profession of fashion just because of her mother. This leads to her being more close to Nathaniel as a friend. This Variant is the one who gains the Ladybug Miraculous as Nathaniel gets the Cat Miraculous. This Variant is the most optimistic and hopeful of the others.

Tiger Chloe: Tiger took the pain from the event and made it a positive. If her mom doesn’t want a connection, then she’ll forge her own. She changes into an actual positive version of herself. From youth onward she would greet each individual she meets with positivity. She manages to make friends with most characters she interacts with and is even a good support for people. Among the variants she is the most genuinely nice of them all. She still has negative moments when her mom is involved, but she leans to the friends she made in order to persevere. It actually surprises people when she ends up sad or negative in her personal moments. This Variant uses the Tiger Miraculous and is the nicest of the variants.

Peacock Chloe: This variant’s personality split in the form of a sort of bi-polar personality due to the event. One moment, she’s the prideful extravagant girl she usually is (minus the bullying). The next, a complete wreck. Her first episode happened the same day of the event. After that, Chloe had trouble interacting with people leading to her having more private teaching away from other kids to prevent episodes. She’s still friends with Adrien and Sabrina, but due to not being stable usually cuts interaction short to prevent uncomfortable situations. The only other interaction she has is with her teacher, Mrs. Bustier who is another form of comfort for her and even helps her interact more with the other kids in her class. Mid-way through the show, Chloe comes across the Peacock miraculous (still damaged) and uses it. When she uses it her personality is magically forced into a stable yet antagonistic personality. However, since her miraculous is damaged, it slowly affects her mind throughout the show leading her bi-polar personality to get worse. She is a neutral party who is antagonistic to Hawkmoth and the heroes who both try to find out who she is to take her miraculous away before it causes irreversible damage to her.

Butterfly Chloe: Chloe had no words. And without hesitation she ran away. Unsure of what to do, how to cope with the event that transpired. She ran and ran and ran not knowing where she was going. No later did she stop at who knows where to which she curled into a ball and cried. Amidst her crying she noticed in her corner butterflies fluttering at a corner. Investigating it she found a butterfly broach, and when she picked up said broach was surprised to see a small creature come out of it. This variant finds the butterfly miraculous (Gabriel never owned the miraculous.) After talking with her new friend she learns of the wish from Nooro and figuring it could be the chance to gain her mother’s love through it. This variant is attuned to people's emotions and their intentions. She uses this to both exploit their emotions to akumatize them as well as ascertaining if she should trust people's word or not. She became distant after that event from both friends and family. Still in their lives, just not forcing herself into their lives. She is the major antagonist. This Chloe found the Butterfly Miraculous and is best at reading others.

Turtle Chloe: This Variant realized that what she desired from her mother wasn’t possible and that what they had wasn’t real love. And through her friends Sabrina and Adrien she learned what it really was. Unfortunately, that discovery leads to an overly protective version of Chloe who is also closed off from others. She is overly protective and doesn’t trust people easily. Due to this she ends up as a difficult person to talk to and gets in the way of others wanting to interact with her friends. A person has to work extremely hard to gain her trust, and when they did would be met with the same overly protective issue. Her arc would be one of letting down her unreasonable guard and trust in people and their decisions more. This variant is the holder of the Turtle Miraculous and is the more defensive of unknown situations.

Mouse Chloe: Not only was Mouse Chloe’s self-esteem crushed, but her entire personality was. After that she became a depressed recluse who chooses to hide herself rather than take the center stage. She dressed less fancy, choosing to try every possibility to hide in the background.  This goes further to the point that most people don’t even know that Chloe’s mom is Audrey. While her father tries to get her to open up, she refuses to. Surprisingly, this version of Chloe is the best when it comes to fashion and design. But due to her trauma, sees herself as a failure in all ways. While to most of the class she’s mainly just there, usually in the background, she does have a couple friends. Adrien, who she grew up with, tries to help her out of her rut to bring back the outgoing prideful friend she used to be. And Mylene who, while unintentionally, ends up having interactions with her leading to the two getting along as friends. This Variant would be the holder of the Mouse Miraculous and is the second smallest of the variants.

Dragon Chloe: After that event, most would not be able to recover. Especially at that age. But this Chloe was made of stronger stuff. In her mind, she figured that the main issue was not being proficient or actually excellent. She grew into a strict stickler, with a no nonsense mindset. If an event was to happen it would be done efficiently and to plan. (essentially she becomes her own version of a French Kagami.) She also becomes a real party pooper because of it. No interest in fun, nor of being relaxed. This alienated her from everyone with no desire for compromise or derailment. And when something goes off the rails she goes into an anger phase berating those who cause it. Chloe leans to this so hard just for the believe that if she manages to reach what she believes is perfection, her mother will express actual love for her…. Love which she will obviously not reciprocate when that event happens. Chloe and Kagami weirdly enough become friends in this AU with Kagami seeing Chloe in a worse state than she is (all intentionally done to herself) and subtly tries to push her away from being this. This variant is the holder of the Dragon Miraculous. She is the most dutiful and best planer of her variants.

Snake Chloe: For a short while Snake Chloe felt great pain from the event, but after a bit of soul searching and self-love overcame her obsession for her mother’s affection. Taking all that weight off her shoulders, this Chloe soon found her own form of peace deciding to focus on herself. Her friendships and connections with people in the story are much better than in canon. Being known as more of a laid back friend among her classmates. More calm and collected than most even in extreme circumstances. She also has a very negative opinion of people who look down on or are antagonistic towards others. Along with her normal friends, she also grew a friendship with Juleka and her brother Luka. This Variant gains the snake miraculous and does the best under pressure among the other Chloes.

Horse Cloe: Horse lives in delusion. She erased that trauma from her head and replaced it with praise that never existed. This causes her to lean more to the celebrity aspect invoking her mom’s name as if she was a celebrity. It also leads to her desire to visit other places in a unique way of walking away from her trauma. Only Adrien and Sabrina are aware of her mental delusions, and while they play along with her at times they also try to lead her mind back to reality (to which she intentionally resists and goes back to delusion). When the trauma of the event is pushed too far into her she has a mental episode of accelerated thoughts and talking that people can’t understand to her fast words. Only rarely does she fully leave the delusion leaving neutral depression of a personality that acknowledges what she has become before going back into delusion. Later in the story fractures of her true self and her delusion intertwine. This variant or Chloe possesses the Horse Miraculous and of course is the most separated from reality.

Goat Chloe: Goat’s emotions shattered. There was no happiness, sadness, rage… just numbness. Her responses to people and issues usually are met with empty responses and simple answers. She’s also known to just… appear causing people to be surprised at times. This also leads to her having weird interactions with her other classmates. Close friends know that she’s being genuine with what she says, just that she doesn't express herself much. She has unique odd connections with each classmate due to this, and throughout the show would show unique moments of emotion with each of them showing she trusts them enough to be open with her emotions with them. This Variant gains the Goat Miraculous and is the hardest to read among the others. 

Rooster Chloe: Rooster took a painful event and turned it into her motivation. In a twisted way she became obsessive of overcoming any event or problem to an unhealthy degree. Taking part in events and competitions even if she isn't equipped for them or is something she likes doing. In her mind getting her mothers love requires her to overcome… something… and proving that her mother can love her. She is friends with her more active classmates, though she can sometimes be too wild at times. But when she fails to overcome what she is setting her mind into, she enters what is essentially a switch into a defeatist personality. Stuck in this rut for several days or longer, it usually takes a friend of hers to help get her out of it. This Variant gains the Rooster Miraculous and is the most active of the variants.

Pig Chloe: her personality shattered, it’s actually surprising how this variant built herself back up. Her personality morphed into one of an annoying brat. Annoying in the sense of an annoying peppy brat that uses it to get away with anything. Using being cute as a weapon more than being genuine mainly doing so for when she meets her mother again hopefully it would help get affection from her (it won’t). She has a dynamic with Rose basically getting along with each other, and while others wonder why, Rose is one of the few who sees her peppy/bratty personality as more of a coping mechanism rather than her real self and plays along. This Variant uses the Pig Miraculous and is the shortest Variant being similar size as Rose.

Monkey Chloe: What is the best way to deal with trauma you don’t want to face? By treating it like a joke of course. Monkey chose to instead of facing her problems to just treat it and everything around her as a joke. She is unable to deal with serious moments and will either choose to leave or make a joke of it leading to people viewing it as distasteful. Even her friends Sabrina and Adrien can’t fully defend her. Though few can see through her jokester facade. Kagami basically reads her like a book, and Mrs. Bustier is patient enough with her that the jokester persona can be dropped around her showing an inner defeatist version of Chloe choosing her own personal form of surrender. This Variant holds the Monkey Miraculous and is the most unpredictable.

Fox Chloe: If this Chloe learned anything after the event, kindness and honesty is weakness. This variant grew into a manipulator who uses falsehoods and lies to manipulate situations into her favor. At first it was to gain her mothers approval, but after several failed attempts she soon just grew a hate for her mother choosing to lie and manipulate to step over her. Most if not all her friendships are built on lies and she holds no regret or shame of it. Only her friend Adrien can see through her lies, even sometimes pushing her to be more honest with herself. There’s also her friendship with Lila forged with both having a kinship with their dishonesty. With Chloe even helping Lila with her lies. Events throughout the show would slowly show cracks in her facade, which would reveal a spiteful, always doubting girl on the inside who struggles with honesty and believing in honesty from others. This Variant gains the Fox Miraculous and is the most untrusting of the Variants.

Dog Chloe: Dog’s pride was crushed. In her mind if she wasn’t worth anything on her own, then might as well be content with subservience. Always degrading herself to appease everyone regardless of her own feelings on the matter. This always puts people off as they don’t want her to do this, yet she pushes to do so anyway. Her closest friend Sabrina tries to boost her self-worth, yet it is a difficult endeavor with how easily she jumps back into it. The biggest help comes from Alex who is one of the biggest forces for Chloe’s self-confidence. She values every friend she makes and throughout the show will learn to move past subservience and instead be a loyal and helpful friend for all. This Variant gains the Dog Miraculous and is the most loyal of the Variants.

Eagle Chloe: This Variant is the most unique of them due to living not in France, but in New York. When this connecting event happened, it was soon followed by Audrey moving to France and never returning. This Chloe and her father were more just common everyday people compared to the others. Her dad worked an average job while focusing on his hobby of home films made by him (which Chloe helped with from time to time.) Sometime along the way, this Variant came across the Eagle Miraculous and formed a bond with the kwami using it to fight crime in New York. When she was old enough, she wanted to go to France to see her mom and see if she could form a bond and bring her family together again. After a little searching, she would soon find her mother… as well as the half-sister she never knew she had….  This Variant had her miraculous the longest of the others.

Rabbit Chloe: probably the most mysterious of the Variants. Choosing to be as detached to everything as possible. Her friends and father notice this almost intentional separation from her, and when trying to have her open up she somehow finds a way to get out of it or avoid it entirely. When events in the show happen she finds a way to avoid danger almost to an unnatural degree even being aware when events happen. Almost like she knows them ahead of time. While Rabbit does interact with everyone, she never fully attaches to them. Those who would be the closest to her note how she seems at peace more than anything, waiting for something to happen that seemingly never does. This Variant uses the Rabbit Miraculous. She uses her miraculous abilities the best of the Variants.

Summary:

Starting from that common point, these different variants of Chloe would go through the same events with the outcomes being different from one another due to their different personalities.

This would be the status quo for their story…….

…….. At least… until they reach the common end point…

What was separated would soon come back together as near the later end of the story all of these Chloe’s split realities would rejoin into one.

And only one of them would continue to exist… while the others disappear.

Midway the Variants of Chloe would soon figure out that there are different versions of herself in separate realities and would be aware that in the end almost all of them wouldn’t make it. And for that to be decided, some earlier than others, they would have to fight each other at that moment. No one but themselves decide which among them is the real one.

Which Chloe, and their reality, will end up the real one at the end of this endeavor?

An AU where both Marinette & Chloe are mutes who cannot speak. 

These two girls grew up together due to a shared support group for not being able to speak when they were kids. 

They ARE friends, but they bicker and argue regularly. Which is quite comical since both can’t talk and have to either act out, sign, or write their grievances at each other. Usually, Chloe provokes Marinette (with Mari doing similar a few times.) Marinette would use sign language to mock her knowing Chloe is not the best with it which also gets Chloe mad. It usually ends with comical fighting that isn’t as serious.

Marinette uses sign language and charades to express herself. If she gets flustered she has a habit to sign fast and frantically, making it hard for people to tell what she’s saying at times. She’s not good with text to speech so she goes with sign language and writing, but when flustered it ends up nearly impossible to read.

Chloe uses her phone's text to speech function to talk. She types fast, but her phone tends to sometimes auto-correct into words or sentences she doesn’t mean to write. This sometimes leads to her sentences to be funny and with her flustered and trying to correct the sentences. She can use sign language, but isn’t really good at it.

In this AU, Marinette gets the Cat Miraculous and Chloe gets the Ladybug, when they transform they get futuristic helmets that gives the girls digital expressions on their faces leading to very expressive faces. When talking to people, they either express or gesture to civilians or use their helmets' virtual text to show text to citizens. 

They do work together well, but also have very comical spats while fighting crime. Usually arguing in silence while others look at them with slight amusement. 

all modern day miraculous holders (including multiple holders like Chloe and Zoe, and adults like Fu, Gabriel, Natalie and Amelie) r all witches of Patron gods (the Kwami from the canon show)

none of the characters know each other and are complete strangers with one another.

they were all abducted by an unknown witch and his group, and put in a giant city similar to Salem.

the rule is, if the character is ousted as a witch in the city, their magic vanishes before they are executed for being a witch. They cannot leave due to the villains own magic.

all the characters work together to find the villain and have them ousted so they can leave. It is essentially a mystery suspense AU.

and it’s also a dark one, as of the characters in this AU… only 5 will make it to the end…

Characters:

Events after that were a blur as almost no one (even Hawkmoth) wanted this outcome. And unfortunately for this AU, Miracle Cure couldn’t cure death.

The biggest concern was how those related were feeling. Zoe was distraught about the whole situation, Audrey……… was… Audrey, Gabriel Argrest himself expressed remorse for what happened to Andre.

And Chloe… unknown.

During the commotion, Chloe had vanished and had refused contact with anyone for a time. Her closest friends, Adrien and Sabrina, were the most worried for her. The only news about Chloe came from Zoe herself.

According to her… Chloe left France all together…

She only consoled this to Audrey who half heartedly agreed to let her as she was gone in the night while also having no idea where she went. 

and with that last piece, all that was left was the future moving on.

The story essentially went forward after that and played the same, hero and villain escapades as usual (though the amount of akuma villains were greatly less). The heroes fought bad guys, and new heroes like the bee hero Vesperia appeared. Events moved forward in the attempt of returning to normal, but after hero day it never really could fully.

This continued for a couple months… until… That day.

The judgment day of the mayor’s killer…

That man was not a good person. He was a murderer long before he got access to akumatization. And using it he would transform into a villain who can make firearms around his body to fire. He was a terrible man, and he was heading for judgment that day.

or at least, he would. Until his bus had turned over and he escaped in the confusion. It was a sudden thing that no one knew how it happened, but one thing was certain.

Andre’s killer was free. And for some people, that was not going to stand.

(Specifically for a couple heroes, a police chief’s daughter, the mayor’s adopted daughter Mc and a villain of the shadows.)

For that time, it was a manhunt of multiple people for that man. And soon, that man was found…

The duo of Ladybug and Chat Noir had managed to track him into the sewers. Both entered and looked for him. They then heard the sound of something piercing stone further down and headed in the direction. And after a minute they had finally found him!

………. They found his corpse sprawled out on the sewer wall…

His body was riddled in holes looking like it was pieces by something on multiple incisions, From top to bottom. With an almost terrified expression in his eye, as the other won was gouged out.

The weirdest thing though, that wasn’t how he died…

when his body was picked up and looked at by police, he Apparently died a slow painful death from an unknown toxin that was in his system. Extremely venomous, yet it was structured in a way that would force the body to be alive as long as possible then immediately kill them. 

As if… it were magic.

The weirdest thing, it wasn’t the only time of this. Days after, other villains and akuma were found dead in similar ways. Usually their hideouts were suddenly raided and everyone inside were brutally murdered.

For the heroes, this was a serious problem as they could not figure out what was happening, nor could the police.

The only info about the attacks known was that there was the sound of buzzing nearby and something could be seen flying away in darkness.

it wouldn’t be long until Ladybug would be face to face with who it was.

While on a solo patrol, Ladybug chanced on what seemed to be a scuffle at an abandoned warehouse. Upon investigating, she couldn’t see in the dark. Yet, she could hear the sound of criminals dying in the dark. She would find a villain crawling away only to be dragged into the dark. One running away only to be pierced by what appeared to be a pike. And soon, the screams ended. Leaving ladybug in the only lit area in the darkness. A minute later, footsteps could be heard. She turned to its direction to see a figure walk into the light. 

The figure was a girl that looked similar in age to her. The girl’s costume was a hero outfit with a tactical flair colored in yellow and black. Combat heels, wasp wings growing on her back, a helmet with vizor covering most of her head with only the bottom of her face visible. Showing her short black hair with black hue on her lips. 

Ladybug attempted to question who the girl was and why she was doing this. The girl… did not respond. She merely turned and began to walk off back into the darkness, which prompted Ladybug to wrap her yoyo onto her arm. Ladybug told her that she wasn't leaving, especially after killing everyone. The mysterious character still refused to speak. At this point, Ladybug just decided to restrain her fully as she pulled at her yoyo.

Only for her to not budge…  To her surprise the mystery girl not only stood in place without moving, but not even her arm was budging. Then, the girl lifted her arm up slightly. And with a strong swing threw Ladybug off her feet as she flew over her and landed into the wall knocking it over as she landed in slight pain. She was collecting herself as the girl had now walked and stepped in front of her. Though her eyes were obscured, Ladybug could tell the piercing glare from behind the vizor as if trying to stab her with her eyes. 

Suddenly, sirens could be heard in the distance. After a second, the girl began to leave, taking a stance as if to take flight. But before she left, she gave Ladybug one word from her in a distorted voice… a name.

???: Vecna…. I am Vecna…

Without a chance to reply, she took off at great speed into the air. 

After this encounter, a name was finally placed onto who was the vigilante killing criminals. Marinette went to Fu to ask about the new girl and about why she seemed to have magic similar to the Miraculous. Fu told her about how other Miraculous exist in the world aside from the ones he protects, and it's likely this person is using her own miraculous. 

 After consulting with the other heroes and the guardian of the miraculous, all that was left now was figuring out who she was now. And what her motivation was.

A few days after… We cut to the Grande Hotel. Zoe had just come back after another day of school. One look at her face was clear she was troubled in her thoughts. Hawkmoth’s villains, being a new hero of Paris, the new miraculous killer wasp woman now on the loose, all these crazy things happening left and right.

But the biggest thing on her mind… her sister.

Even after all this time, she still has no idea what happened to her sister. Where she went, what she did after… the incident. She was still distraught about what happened, and she knew Chloe was feeling leagues worse than that.

With a sigh, Zoe could only continue to wonder if she would ever… wait…

Only when she got out of her head, did she notice the bustle that was happening in the hotel. People running over each other. Actions that they only usually do for celebrities or very important people.

This confused Zoe, what was going on? She didn’t hear about anyone coming today, so what….

… what………..

Zoe was stunlocked. Legitimately stunlocked. In front of her, one person was standing at the front desk. A girl, a blonde girl bags at hand, was talking to the front desk about the pent house room. 

Sure, her hair was shorter, and her build was different from normal. But Zoe knew who this was. Looking at her, the feelings in her heart wouldn’t settle. She knew this girl, of course she did, how could she not know her sister.

Zoe: Chloe?

The girl in front of her stopped talking, staying in science not turning around but Zoe didn’t falter. She continued to walk towards her still talking to her.

Zoe: That, that is you… right Chloe? It is, Right!? 

The girl in front of her began to turn around. And just as Zoe was about to grab her shoulder, she got a look at her face… Chloe’s face. 

A face whose eyes stared dulled as her blue eyes turned bluish grey. Her face locked with a neutral frown and a piercing gaze. 

Zoe was shocked by her expression. And wanted to question if Chloe was ok. But before that Chloe’s expression softened, mixed with slight embarrassment and concern. Before replying to her.

Chloe: Zoe…

Zoe could see that even though she was more intense than before, Chloe did seem to be not as intense as she assumed before. Sure she seemed not right emotionally, but at least she was here. Even if it was clear she was mentally not ok.

Zoe had many thoughts in her head at the moment, but for right now one thing was certain. 

This was indeed Chloe.

This world takes place in a Paris far different from the norm. Gone are the peaceful, friendly and safe streets once known in Paris, now replaced by a city riddled with crime. During the day, it is mostly peaceful, but at night is when crime bustles at a near constant. 

(for the best interpretation…. Picture…. Batman’s Gotham.)

What makes it worse, is the recent appearance of super villains in France. These villains have their powers come from a character named Hawkmoth. This hawkmoth character gives these people their supervillain powers and persona’s with the simple return of finding certain Miraculous that are hidden in the city.  (essentially, every Akuma from the original show is given to actual villains instead of innocent people).

Of course, like normal canon this soon leads to the creation of Paris’ heroes Ladybug and Cat Noire. And essentially the show begins. 

Unlike the show this is more action packed and is more like dc action comics. 

But the story isn’t about Ladybug and Cat Noire… this story focuses on a blonde girl and her…. Origin story….

As a young girl in the elite status of Paris, due to her fashion icon mother and her Mayor of Paris Father, Chloe has known only the best of the world. A spoiled girl who never knew strife. It was this life that made Chloe the high-class bully she was known for like her canon self. Her mother herself teaching her not to care for the “lower class and its problems”.

She was aware that there was crime in the streets from whispering and saying so here and there, but why should she care… it never affected her being the mayor’s daughter and all.

However, her interest would soon change with the bring up of a certain duo of heroes suddenly appearing in town. 

From their first appearance during the stone heart villain attack (specifically due to them saving her), Chloe grew a secret fangirl mindset to super heroes.

victory after victory, her interest had grown more and more. Even to the point that she’d secretly look into villain activity.

(Which she anonymously submitted to Alya’s Ladyblog. And yes, Alya definitely sneaks into criminal areas to get the scoop on villain activity.)

As she delved into the criminal world, she began to see more and more how corrupt everything actually is. Things she didn’t pay much attention to having darker origins than she thought, famous names she’s heard and met now more dastardly than she realized…

her mother… not as great a person that she thought….

Every step she took into that dark world her eyes were more and more peeled open to the truth of how this world worked…. And she did not like a single part of it…

This only pushed Chloe more into figuring out more of the criminal world. Her indifferent outlook was replaced with one who desired to see justice to this world at all cost.

Since that declaration many things have happened to her. Seeing the heroes fight villains (even helping a few times), learning her butler’s name, having more appreciation for her Father, the reconstruction of her friendship with Sabrina, seeing more heroes appear in slow succession, the arrival of a half-sister she never knew she had, and the slow bond they would forge.

Even being given a Miraculous to help fight villains alongside the heroes. And she was really good at it.

Slowly, but surly, her life had started to change for a definite better, probably the best her life has ever been.

…….. If….. If only……

While true her personality had improved from before, there was one thing that also became true in Chloe’s mind. 

Her view on criminals and villains…

She’s seen the terrible things some of these villains did, what criminals got away with, some of it the worse of the worse.

This was wrong, all of it was wrong…

As a superhero, Chloe at first started as a surprisingly talented hero. But unlike everyone else, she viewed defeating villains…. Differently… in a more… absolute mindset.

It wasn’t noticeable at first. She helped the heroes and kept with defeating them and getting them arrested. But slowly, bit by bit, she began to be more…. Brutal with criminals. More, bone breakingly brutal with them. 

And when Miracle Cure activated healing them, if you paid attention to her you’d notice the annoyance of that pain not sticking on them.

Her new view on justice… was starting to get darker

it changed from stopping villains to hurting them deeply. Making it about fear and pain more than just the moral good. Even when she was solo, she’d be more brutal with even non-powered criminals. 

at first, it was under the radar, but slowly the others began to notice her activity… and the consequences of them. They wanted to confront her about it.

It was only when she was about to commit something worse than brutality when Ladybug stopped her.

After that event, and seeing how Chloe’s mental was heading, Ladybug took her miraculous away for her sake.

While at first Chloe was upset by this at first, she began to think about her past actions and how extreme she was becoming. She wondered how she got so extreme, when her view of the world became so… extreme. 

maybe the others were right… maybe…. She needed to step away from all the hero and villain stuff….

…….Then came Miracle day….

At first, the mayor opted to ignore the villainous behavior of Paris. Mostly of fear of Hawkmoth’s empowered super villains as well as just the public image of high society like not needing him to. But In the midst of the story, the mayor slowly leaned more to the heroic exploits of the heroes as well as his daughters new aspirations of making the city better. Even pushing for more push back on villain activity in the city. 

it all cumulated to Miracle Day, a day not only celebrating the heroes of Paris, but would also be the day he would declare full efforts in cleaning up Paris for the better. A move to eliminate all crime possible off the streets of Paris entirely.

But… not if Hawkmoth had anything to say about it…

he gave 3 villains powers and gave them the task of scaring the mayor into backing off from the idea. Not kill anyone, just scaring them.

but unfortunately for Hawkmoth… those criminals had other plans…

it was only through chance that Chloe happened upon those villains and overheard their own goal… to kill the mayor on miracle day… her dad.

Without hesitation, she got to the heroes as fast as she could and told them everything about what was about to happen. 

but before they went to stop the villains, Chloe begged to help. She begged to just use the miraculous once to stop her father’s murder.

Ladybug could tell from one glance alone…. If she gave her that miraculous 

… she’d kill someone…

Thus, for her sake she denied giving her one. 

But this was Ladybug and the other heroes of Paris were talking about! Surely, they’d stop the bad guys like always! Surely, they can save the day again!

…

…..

………. They….. they didn’t.

From all of the chaos of the fighting, one of those villains managed to get one good shot out directly at the mayor. And none of the heroes were able to stop it. 

the mayor was dead…

…. But what if… in an alternate world, things were different.

a world where her innocent cheerful personality hid a not so happy lifestyle in the background. A world where a certain condition showed itself much earlier than normal.

… a world where earlier than the show happens, said girl gets her hands on a certain brooch and uses it for what she sees as the perfect wish.

Fae AU:

In this AU, it is Rose Lavillant who is the villain of the story. Using the butterfly Miraculous, Rose will use its power to create villains in an effort to draw out the ladybug and cat miraculous and use the wish to fix her terrible life as well as her own illness.

The illness from later seasons would be there earlier and she would hide it.

This version of Rose is in canon Miraculous with slight changes. She’s still nice and kind to others, however she is also more cognitive of people’s emotions and feelings. She uses this and her kindness to manipulate people and to get close with them and manipulate what she sees as “the best outcome” for people.

This is not for a nefarious reason, just pushing people to be nice by emotional manipulation. This is how she made Chloe more friendlier with everyone by reading her emotions and personal issues like a book and manipulating them.

All for her idea of “a better life”

Using the Butterfly miraculous she transforms into the persona of Fae. She then uses the miraculous’ power on those with negative emotions and instead of pushing those emotions and getting back at people or getting revenge, she manipulates them into doing actions in a belief that they’re the right thing to do.

often, she’d warp them into actions more so to make a situation better.

and unlike Hawkmoth, Fae actually gets more involved in person with her akuma. When she akumatizes someone, she’ll keep close with them and keep instigating them further to do what they’re doing. All the while telling them to also get the ladybug and cat miraculous.

An additional ability to the butterfly Miraculous is the power to turn her whole body into a kaleidoscope of butterflies. Making her near impossible to hit and able to escape when her akuma is defeated. She also can fly with the wings that grow onto her back.

While the villain is attacking, Fae will also try to manipulate both ladybug and cat noire, as well as their allies, she pushes at their emotions as well as their personal issues and attempts to sway them or catch them off guard. She also does this to try and figure out who they are based on their personalities, mannerisms and emotions.

She doesn’t tell them why she does this in fear that if she does they’ll say no due to how dangerous it would be to use said wish. Thus, she banks on stealing them from the heroes. All the while trying to not let her illness get the better of her before then.

As Fae, she gives off a playful personality that always acts innocent yet mischievous. She’ll often downplay any problems pushed towards her or her akuma and will cheerfully twist words into benefiting her. When her akuma fails she’ll be childishly upset, usually resorting to pouting and throwing a fake tantrum of “no fair! That was supposed to work this time :(“. Before immediately running away before the heroes can catch her.

if she’s pushed to be really upset, her childish facade cracks a little letting her get slightly more annoyed. Though that rarely happens if at all.

It’s a battle against a slippery Fae folk with a plan for the miraculous none but her can truly know…

And she, like Hawkmoth, is also not fighting alone…

Juleka:

In this AU, Juleka fills in the Natalie role for Rose. Her personality is the same as her canon self.

Being one of the few people Rose trusts the most, Juleka is fully aware of Rose’s condition. And while she definitely doesn’t like the method she chose to fix it, Juleka cares enough for her to assist her in saving her life.

Later on she would get her hand on the peacock miraculous and transform into Azure Fairy. Working with Fae she would create centi-monsters that would assist in fighting the heroes. She would retreat before the monster was defeated and wait until Fae returns to transport them to safety.

There have been a couple times when she had no choice but to use a miraculous from the heroes, but she usually intentionally didn’t help during said moments hidden in accidents.

In this world, robotics and A.I. is the big thing. From the greatest A.I. operating systems made by the Argrest Foundation, to the esteemed Bourgeois robotics company. Everything is about robotics and the advancement of A.I. to pilot them.

in the Argrest foundation a branch of the company, the Wang branch, developed a group of A.I called the Miracle system. Designed specifically to help those that best match with their holders with operating different mechanical suits designed for them. While also using their unique operating system abilities. 

A shadow group called ShadowMoth tried to steal these A.I. but only managed to steal the Moth and Peacock A.I. and uses them to cause havoc while trying to obtain the others. 

This leads to the Miraculous Project where subjects are paired with the other Kwami to fight the ShadowMoth organization.

meaning, all heroes are active with their respective kwami.

This, unfortunately, has led to the development of the “heroes” having separate factions amongst themselves.

Moral good faction: those who lean towards a full hero mindset. No corruption, no moral grey.

Alya: Alya in this world is as much a fan of heroes as normal. This led to her own view of heroes as unchanging morally goods who don’t compromise to any bad. Which leads her to be at odds with the moral grey faction who range from criminals acts and being more underhanded/exploitative with their powers. It also doesn’t help that Mr.Bug is so lenient with the Grey’s leader Multimouse. However, while she does want to retrieve the miraculous she stole, when it comes down to the situation Hawkmoth and villains come first before Multimouse and her group. Alta’s hero form has a rivalry with Multimouse.

Rose: As Pigella, Rose desires to do good in the world. She views her group as her friends and trusts them. When it comes to the Grey faction she still sees them as good people who probably have reasons for what they do. And is even one of the few who openly pushes to working together. However, she does critique the things that they do at times. And when it comes to Queen Bee, their personalities can sometimes clash. She and Juleka’s hero forms hold a rivalry with Chloe’s.

Juleka: Juleka is not as expressive as the others in her civilian side, but as Purple Tigress she has more confidence in her desire to do good. While she doesn’t have a huge  issue with the Grey Faction, she also views their actions as something requiring accountability. Though, when Pigella tries to push cooperation Juleka is one of the first to try and cooperate. But when it comes to Queen Bee, she doesn’t really like her or how she clashes with Pigella each time leading her to be the more confrontational of the two in their spates with QB. She and Pigella have a rivalry with Queen Bee.

Sabrina: Being the daughter of a cop, Sabrina believes in both Justice and following the rules. This leads to her hero persona being more lawful-good than the others. Regardless of the reason, law is the law and and nothing excuses breaking it. She isn’t fond of working with the Grey faction much with how morally grey to borderline criminal they are. She especially has issues with Volpina. Volpina’s underhanded tactics and instigating/doing criminal like acts to help boost her own heroic image greatly annoys Ms. Hound leading her to wanting to expose her and using so as an excuse to get her arrested and her miraculous taken away. As shown, She and Volpina have a rivalry with each other.

Nino: Nino doesn’t lean as much as the others into the morality of heroism. If anything, he’s more or less just on the Moral good faction solely because Mr.Bug and Noire  are his friends. He doesn’t really have an issue with the grey faction and has no real issue with any of them. He’s one of the couple heroes of the group who at least tries to push cooperation of the two. He has a……. Rivalry? With Ryuko…. Sorta….

Moral Grey Faction: Those who can do good, but have their own grey areas about them which makes them more anti-hero rather than full hero.

Marinette: For her whole life, Marinette had to do whatever she could so that her and her kids could survive which lead her to becoming the thief she is. While she does rob people she specifically only goes after corrupt people, no exception. Of her group, they’re basically situational friends. They all know they’re in the grey and what they’re doing, but also know their personalities make it so they don’t judge. Of them, she’s the most flippant when it comes to doing heroism. If situation calls for it (or if she’s forced into it) she’ll help the Good Faction with Akuma and villains. Or if she thinks they can handle it will gladly take the opportunity to escape. While some like Mr.Bug see good in her and that she could do better, Noire specifically has her own issue with the petty thief who stole a miraculous. This leads to the two butting heads multiple times.  Multimouse has a rivalry with Noire

Chloe: Chloe being… well, Chloe she doesn’t shy from fame and pedigree. This version of her isn’t naive enough to reveal her identity, but instead she essentially “cooperates” with the young Chloe Bourgeois (who she obviously doesn’t know, trust.) in the act of merchandising herself and her Queen Bee brand. Chloe likes exploiting her hero brand which helps fund herself and own fashion career. Of the Grey Faction she’s the most smug and and somehow the 2nd most annoying of them. Usually doing heroics while making sure her image is maintained. This, unfortunately, leads to situations where she might end up making situations worse or getting in other heroes' way for herself. While the good faction are annoyed by her, the o Queen Bee the one that pushes her buttons the most is Pigella. Her pure kindness and constant judgment of Queen’s personality and actions leads her into butting heads with the short girl (even if Pigella doesn’t really try to) even viewing her personality as some kind of act she plays. This also leads to Purple Tiger also confronting with her, which Queen is less confrontational with due to how scary she can get if pushed. Queen Bee has a rivalry with Pigella and Purple Tiger

Lila: Volpina… is not a good person. If anything, she is the only one of the Grey who leans to be a borderline villain amongst them. Using her powers it ranges from orchestrating events situations to basically pushing people to Akumatization simply to force events where she can play hero and gain notoriety . She then uses this to boost her own social standing claiming to be Volpina’s best friend. Now, Is this extremely dangerous, yes. Does she care? No. Most of the moral good don’t trust Volpina at all and even feel she’s the biggest problem of the Grey. Her biggest opposition is Ms. Hound. Her cop over hero mindset has her constantly in Volpina’s business. These two are more likely to antagonize and closes to get into fights because of it, ending in Volpina usually running away (whether genuine or as an act varies). She and Ms.Hound have a rivalry with each other.

Kagami: Kagami among the grey is the most obscure of them. Unlike the rest, she has no grey actions similar to her companions. What puts her there is her analytical view of their actions and the leeway she gives to them. Viewing it as necessary evils for the better. It also doesn’t help that in her mind, they’re the first friends she had thus she’ll be as lenient as possible with them. As for the moral good, she has no problem with them at all. Is one of the only few who is not opposed to helping or working together when needed. Seeing how the others seem to bud heads with members of the other group, Kagami figures she’s supposed to do the same. Hence, why she decides to bud heads with Carapace though it’s not really the same as the others. Carapace doesn’t have an issue with Ryuko, neither is she with him. More or less it’s her critiquing him and him just taking it casually as feedback.

Neutral: The rest of the heroes are pretty much the same as their canon selves. Unlike the heroes in the two factions they usually are just there to fight the bad guys. They’re don’t lean to full good like the moral good, nor do they feel that the moral grey are that bad of people (granted they’re not fully aware of what Volpina does). 

Only a couple of notable changes.

Mylene: While she doesn’t get the Mouse Miraculous in this AU, she still gets a Miraculous (what her miraculous is still pending at the moment). And, not by choice, is the biggest voice of the neutral group looking for peace between all groups. With her personality and her kindness to both, all heroes involved have a positive view of Mylene’s hero persona. It also helps that she has also connected with each of those heroes in her civilian persona as well. (completely unintentionally mind you)

Zoe: A short time after her introduction, Zoe soon learns Chloe’s identity by accident. Because of that, Chloe coerced her into being a second bee themed hero under the Bourgeois branding. She doesn’t really like the whole marketable hero bit, but she does find it a fun way to spend time with her sister. However, unlike Chloe Zoe is more into helping people rather than marketing herself. She doesn’t dislike those in the grey (though she doesn’t trust Volpina as much) and has the same view with the Moral Good. She essentially is the separate bee hero when Chloe isn’t who just wants her sister and friends to get along with the others.

And finally, two big names not mentioned yet.

Adrien & Luka: These two are essentially the, in name only, leaders of the Moral Good and Grey groups respectfully. These two had no say in the whole group idea (it was more Noire and Multimouse’s ideas). They’re main goal is to 1. Stop hawkmoth, and 2. Try to get the two groups to unite rather than be antagonistic with each other. Usually involves them separately reasoning with each of their respective members to slowly bring them together. 

The name of the AU will appear late on. Might ruin the surprise.

It’s nighttime in the streets of France. Most people are at their homes, businesses closing. And, only in France, the blur of heroes jumping through rooftops on a nightly patrol.

But this story isn’t focusing on them. This story is focused on a girl. A girl holding a big treat box, on her way to a building isolated from the city. A big building with obscured by trees nearly as tall

The girl opened the door leading to what was a dark unkept garden. Through the near pitch black darkness one could barely see plants of all kinds. Flowers, bushes, trees of variety even what appeared to be a light water stream. All created by nature untethered by human interference with only the starry sky as its light source.

The girl sighed.

???: a-alright… just walk in and keep moving…

Steadily, the girl slowly began walking through the greenery. Every step masked by the college under her shoes. She was cautios, slow with her every step, as if she was afraid of startling herself.

Or… something inside.

???: You sure you're alright?

The girl barely contained a yelp as the sudden noise from her pocket startled her. She caught herself for a second before responding.

???: y-y-yeah, I mean, t-this is just normal visit right? J-just the same old same old..

Then, that voice popped out revealing a small like creature with ears.

???: I’m… not sure being paranoid is a normal thing to feel every time.

The girl looked away slightly as she began to walk again.

???: I… I know. It’s just, I just don’t want her to be startled… y'know? She can’t handle surprise  well and I don’t want to stress her out and then she… well…

The two kept walking in silence for a little both unaware of the silent movement in the trees.

Then the tiny voice spoke up again.

???: Well, if it’s that dangerous, maybe we could get someone to help her? The master might know something, or maybe we could get lad-

The girl shushed the tiny voice immediately. As suddenly the sound of what was a deep growl could be heard. Along with a vibration that shook the whole foliage. 

It lasted a couple of seconds before stopping completely. The girl stood there for a moment before talking.

???: I do… I really, really do… but because of that reaction… how close this was to being a disaster… I-i can’t take that chance.

She looks around before walking again.

???: And the fact I’m probably the only person right now she trusts at all… i-if things go wrong, and believes I broke that trust… then she’ll trust no one…

She finally makes it to a clearing where the starry night shines enough to laminate the whole area. Nothing but a wide assortment of yellow flowers of different types.

???: so… at the very least she should at least trust me, right?

The tiny creature pondered for a moment. She couldn’t deny that the girl had a point. Even in this dangerous situation, all options lead to the worst case scenario.

The creature sighed.

???: ok… but still, be safe… and I’m here for you if things go bad.

The creature then flew back into hiding. After the creature hid away the girl looked at the clearing one more time. Then, she took a breath and mustered all the courage she could as she began to walk towards the center of the clearing.

Not aware of the eyes staring at her in the darkness before disappearing.

She finally makes it to the center. She placed the large box in a clear spot of the flowers. She then slowly backed away from that spot.

Then, she began to speak aloud.

???: h-heloooo~, I-I’m back~!

Silence… 

???: I-i brought your favorite~! 

She stood for a second then heard rustling in the trees. She could hear it more and more. Something, running through the forest obscured by the dark and trees. 

But then…. The noise stopped…. And soon…. There was silence….

…..

…..

….

???: u-um…

SLAM!!!

Without warning, what spear to be a large spear-like object slams right next to her. She shrieks, and as she turned she could see another… and another… six long jointed legs planting down one after another stepping towards the girl currently backing away.

All those limbs connected to a large bodied figure. Its body separated into three sections, a large end with a stinger the size of a human sharp enough to pierce cars. A mid section morphed into a weird shape covered in what appeared to be fuzz arranged in yellow with a white under with black stripes. And then… there was its head. It’s mutated head… It looked insect-like, yet with some issues. The hair like strands falling down its top, the piercing glare of what appeared to be pupils staring past the compound eyes in front. And its mouth, sharp Mandibles piercing its sides with a human like mouth in front filled with teeth as sharp as its stinger.

The creature slowly crawled its way towards the girl, each leg bringing it closer than she could get away. She finally stopped as she was now face to… (face?) with the creature.

The then spoke with a trembling voice.

???: h-h-hold on… I-i-it’s me… y-you k-k-know it’s me… r-r-r-right…?

The creature stared at her for a moment. Its piercing glare fixated on her face looking at her. That moment, which felt like hours, kept on until the creature's gaze softened. It began to recognize her now…

And then… it spoke.

???: M-m-mY…. MyLynEEEe…?

The girl known as Mylene let out a thankful sigh…

Mylene: y-yeah… it’s me… f-friends right?

The creature backed away a little letting its thought catch up with her as she began to look like what appeared to be sad. It turned away slightly, ashamed.

???: S-sOorRRYyy~….

It said.

Mylene walked up to the creature and warmly placed a hand on one of her limbs consoling her.

Mylene: no, no don’t worry! I’m fine… honest! You were just startled right?

The creature still looked sad. She then gestured towards the box at the center.

Mylene: Look, I even got you something!

She walked the creature back to the center. Then, she walked to the box then opened it. 

Inside, was was a confusing  combination of sweets…. And fish?

The creature’s gaze kept on the food in front of it. Its mouth opened as a soft growl can be heard from its stomach. Mylene gestured it to the food, and the creature dug in as its mandibles pierced through the ground so its mouth could gobble up the food.

Mylene awkwardly stared at her gobble each piece with animalistic abandon. And within minutes, it was all gone.

The creature slowly huffed letting the food digest inside as it slowly crawled up to the ground. Mylene slowly approached the girl and begins to rub the fuzz of its body. She looked at the girl worried.

Mylene: Are you ok?

The creature's gaze tiredly looked at Mylene slowly bringing its words together.

???: T-TTtiIiiRrrRRRDDD~

Mylene saw that the girl seemed to be more restless than usual. She wasn’t sure what happened but she knew she wasn’t at her best right now.

Mylene rubbed the giant bug fuzz.

Mylene: If you want, you can rest a little bit. I’ll even keep you company.

The bug looked at Mylene both tired and worryingly. Mylene assured her.

Mylene: Don't worry, I don’t have anywhere to be any time soon. Rest up, then we can talk after.

The creature let out a low growl before slowly beginning to fall asleep.

In a few moments, the tired monster fell asleep. Leaving Mylene still rubbing the creature's side. As she does, her kwami, Mullo, flies out and lands on Mylenes shoulder. After a moment, Mylene spoke…

Mylene: Rest up…. Chloe….

Mutation AU:

in this AU all miraculous, instead of being magical, bond to their holders through mutation.

Each holder had a fused bond with their miraculous making it near impossible to separate the two. Meaning all miraculous holders chosen are permanent.

The story is the same. Ladybug and friends fighting Hawkmoth.

Chloe becomes queen bee as usual. Even does well at the start.

however, due to event that happen in the story she ends up messing up badly.

enough that ladybug wants to take her miraculous away. The problem, their genetically bonded to their miraculous so taking them isn’t easy.

She asks Fu if there's a way to remove it, and he does tell her of one. But the way requires both parties to agree. And she knew Chloe wouldn’t agree to remove her miraculous.

though it should be a unanimous choice, Ladybug decides to take matters into her own hands and confronts Chloe. When explained, Chloe refuses to let her miraculous go.

things escalate into basically a fight between the two. Which doesn’t help when Hawkmoth and another party get involved as well.

due to this, when Ladybug tries to take separate Chloe and her Miraculous it goes wrong. Thanks to that, instead of separating both Chloe and Pollen fused even deeper. Thanks to this, she is mutated into a giant bee monster mutation. 

she essentially becomes something similar to Spider-Man’s The Lizard (the monstrous version)

And in the confusion she fled to who knows where.

this even was one of Ladybug’s biggest fuck ups. And due to it, it caused a ripple in the team.

few still stuck with Ladybug, few went on odds with her. Not being her enemy, but not being allies with her and those who still support her. And those in the grey of it.

This event leads to Chloe’s mutant form showing up a few times going on rampages going after Akumatized people…. Or Ladybug if she sees her.

Due to this, now the priorities of the Miraculous holders is 1. Stop Hawkmoth and 2. Find and cure Chloe.

In the midst of this, Mylene a short time after ends up finding Chloe in an abandoned building separate from the town.

she wants to tell someone about it, but knows that she might go berserk if certain people end up involved or become paranoid. Which ends with her hiding Chloe in that building until she can assure her trust and then get someone to cure her with her consent.

She also learns of the tree no’s when it comes to interacting with Chloe.

in this order…

1. Do not mention the Bourgeois name.

2. Do not mention Hawkmoth.

an AU based on a personality change of one Audrey Bourgeois.

Instead of a woman who thinks she’s owed everything because she’s exceptional, she is a woman who believes those who put in the most work are exceptional.

She lived a life where she had to put in extreme amounts of work in order to get to the status she is. And because of that, her critique is both harsh and direct. Not because of arrogance or superiority, but from the belief that only through honest realism one can improve immensely.

This one change of her character causes changes for a few others.

Audrey: 

instead of cruel out of superiority, she is instead a critical and no nonsense woman who will make certain you know how you messed up.

appreciates taken and the work to grow that talent. And doesn’t believe in excuses. You either do or your being too lazy to do.

does care for her family, just is very honest and high expectation when it comes to them and everyone around her. Though her family knows that she’s not doing so out of spite or hate.

Chloe:

Gone is the spoiled rich girl who thinks she owns everything because of her parents. This version of Chloe is all about working to achieve what she believes is exceptional. Growing up, Audrey made it clear to her that if she wanted to be exceptional that she shouldn’t expect a hand out or an easy way to the top. That everything she did for her approval would be met with brutal and honest critique. 

Unlike most kids, Chloe took that challenge head on. Even with Audrey’s harshest critique, Chloe refused to let it get her down or to drive her to give up. This caused her to grow up as a no nonsense hard working elite. Great grades, great eye for detail/research and an above average grip on fashion.

If there was a negative trait about her, it would be… her personality. 

Extremely competitive, straight laced and serious and not one for distractions or nonsense. Not to mention inheriting her mothers harsh critique mindset which alienates her from others due to how cruel it sounds.

there’s only few who don’t get scared away by this.

Adrien:

Grew up with Chloe and knows about her and her mothers views.

Even as friends Chloe does critique his actions and things he does. And yet, Adrien is fully aware that she doesn’t mean anything bad by it. He even was able to understand what she means through the criticism and even teases her about what she is actually trying to tell him, which flusters Chloe when he reads her like that.

She doesn’t have a romantic attraction to Adrien, just a close friend/brotherly force who often helps convey what she is trying to say.

Sabrina:

when the two met when they were young, Sabrina originally had the same views as most of the harsh criticism and no nonsense personality of Chloe Bourgeois and tried to avoid her.

One day, the two had to work  on a project together. Much to Sabrina’s saddening horror.

It of course started as expected, every mistake was boldly pointed out, every critique held nothing back. 

part of her considered trying to switch partners just to avoid the pain of it.

But as time moved on, she noticed things about Chloe. How she kept track of the things she critiqued Sabrina on, what she did after, how she had improved after those criticisms (which Sabrina was surprised she didn’t notice).

Then came the day when Adrien visited Chloe while Sabrina was there. It was there when Chloe was absent for a moment where he explained about Chloe’s personality and why she was always critical with people. 

He even pointed out the fact that she frequently criticized her means she thought really highly of her potential. Which surprised Sabrina greatly.

After that moment, instead of dreading Chloe’s criticism she tried to meet it head on and work on herself from it. Even after that project (which they did ace) she stuck around Chloe not being as bothered by the criticism as before. 

Due to that, she herself as a person grew exponentially. And soon the two became best friends.

Marinette:

A young Marinette with her fascination with fashion, started working to be the best she could at a young age. 

When she drew new fashion ideas she liked to show it to family and friends and was always happy when they praised what she drew.

One day, after she finished drawing a new fashion idea at the park, she wanted to show it and get an opinion on her work. She showed a few people and they told her they liked it each time.

Then… she set her eyes on a certain blonde girl sitting on her own and decided to show her her drawing.

She approached the girl and with a smile, showed her the fashion idea she had and asked her what she thought of it.

She looked at the drawing for a minute and at first the blonde looked like she didn’t want to answer, but after a little more prodding from Marinette she finally answered her….

….And proceeded to give her the most painfully honest and harsh scrutiny. For several minutes all Marinette heard was criticism after criticism of every flaw of the design with few positives in the middle.

Of course, after the little kid heard all that Chloe had to say about her design it was no suprise…. That the girl cried and went home.

Even Though her parents consoled her and tried to tell her not to take what the girl said to heart she still felt greatly sad by it.

In her room, Marinette sniffles as she’s curled up thinking about what the mean girl said. She even considered never doing fashion again.

But then, her eyes went back to the drawing again. Each part of it she saw, she could remember what the blonde said about it and the flaws about it. And when she thought about what she said while looking at the drawing, most of those criticisms she agreed with. Which made her even sadder to admit she was kinda right.

She was sad, but slowly she began to feel another emotion. It wasn’t anger or hate, it was stubborn determination. That determination had her grab her drawing and draw it again. And again, and again and again until she got it right,

After a few days of waiting at that same park where her feelings were hurt, the blonde girl was once again back at that same place sitting down. 

With a determined gaze, Marinette immediately walked up to the blonde again and stood in front of her with a determined and defiant face. (Which Chloe was surprised and confused by)

She took a breath, then pulled her drawing out again. She looked the blonde girl in the eye and asked her to look at it again and asked what she thought of it.

Chloe was surprised by that. Nobody ever came back to her after how harsh she was. Let alone to come back and ask for her opinion again.

Well, she answered her, and while she did have some positives of her new design she still gave several harsh criticisms about it again. And while Marinette looked around as upset as the last time, she didn’t run away crying like last time. Surprising Chloe again.

Marinette then asked if Chloe would be at this park again. A surprised and confused Chloe told her she’d be here again in a few days. Marinette then told her that she would be there as well to show her it again before heading off leaving the blonde suprised.

and thus those few days passed and the two met again at that same place. Marinette showed her new design and Chloe critiqued the hell out of it.

….And it kept happening. Time kept going and the two almost had a habit of it. Marinette would design something, Chloe would critique it. And they did that for the years to come.

At some point Marinette even fought back against some of Chloe’s criticisms and stood her ground. Not out of anger or spite, but of her own likes and opinions.

While it was never said outright, these two became friends through this cycle.

Due to Chloe’s critiques, Marinette greatly improved in her fashion designing as well as her own confidence. In the current time it became habitual that Marinette would design something and asked for Chloe’s honest opinion to see how good it was or how to improve. 

The criticisms that once gave pain were now just a comedic back and forth for the two. Basically having scenes of Marinette comedically deflated when her designs were criticized only to sporadically spring up with determination to prove her wrong.

An AU where all the kids in the class are all problem children sent to a reform like school program called the Miracle Program for kids of varying extremes.

It’s a program that on the surface takes kids and help make them better for society and themselves. It is also a program where on the down low, takes these kids and pair them with kwami to create superheroes to fight villains in secret.
