pretimeskip! iwaizumi x [classmate] reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 1340 :D
authors note - this is a continuation of iwaizumi's 8:47am ! consider this a part two. once i finish it or if you guys want more, i'll combine all of the parts for a familiar paramour!
yes, today was indeed different. you were smiling â smiling to yourself as well as iwaizumiâs spirited behavior thrived during his game. even the seijoh four (excluding iwaizumi himself), as fans called the boys' volleyball seniors, were confused at their aceâs sudden show of happiness.Â
why was hajime iwaizumi so happy, exactly? the answer was simple; it was staring right in front of everyoneâs eyes.Â
the key to his pride was you, because you were the first person heâd found cute â and that same person was smiling at how well he was playing. of course his adrenaline was off the roof!
his words from your english class from the day prior ran in your head like a beating drum. he did play better when you were there. you werenât well aware of his stats throughout the game, but you could tell today was a good day for him. still, with the way matsukawa and hanamaki from classes 3-1 and 3-2 were giggling to themselves about iwaizumi, it made you understand the teamâs odd apprehension.Â
you sigh softly to yourself, hearing another one of iwaizumiâs spikes slam onto the court floor, with oikawa staring at him in all of his glory.Â
âhaving fun, arenât we, iwa-chan?â he asks coyly before slapping his best friend on his back, the setterâs gaze flicking up to the crowd, only to find you.Â
âah, i.. see,â he murmurs to himself, a cheeky smile on his lips.Â
"iwa-chan secured himself a date, didnât he?â and the other duo from the seijoh four perks up at this. here the seniors were, rather than celebrating their winning point for the first set, bullying and cackling at their ace and his familiar paramour.Â
his familiar paramour was indeed you, yet no one else was familiar with you. no one else got to see you twirl your pencil around as you hid your scowl from your english teacher. no one else saw you give your acquaintances in your english class a simple smile accompanied by a gentle nod as you went over test answers with them. and more importantly, you were his seat partner and only his. the word seat flew over his head, though, because he was already planning on how to take you out anywhere and everywhere.Â
âshut up, shittykawa. just give me your little sets so that we can win,â he mutters bluntly, looking away from the little huddle they made. he rolls his sleeves up, with his muscles being highlighted in all of their glory. you felt sheepish and prude, your eyes immediately beckoning to the sculpture of his arms. they were so refined, you thought â you knew that he went to the gym, with how much he wrote about his experiences in the gym whenever you read through his double-entry journals for group work.Â
you blink twice, your gaze flicking to the same classmate whom you cleaned up your classroom with earlier that week. you smiled softly before feeling a sense of awkwardness wash over you. You werenât the closest with her, yet here she was, boasting about how attractive matsukawa was.
âright,â you mumble, your mind focused on the ace rather than her.Â
"um, you have fun with him, them. and you too, with oikawa,â you state plainly, looking at your friend from oikawaâs class, who was simply infatuated with him once again. your shoulders fell in defeat as you sat down on the bleachers, a tired sigh escaping your lips.
why was it instinct to talk about looks and how attractive a guy was? you kept your little crush to yourself, with the underlying fact that both of you had similar feelings that were slowly blooming. but no one else had to know, and you wanted to make it clear to iwaizumi that no one needed to know about their little love story unless they were asked.Â
the game ended with a clear winner in mind: seijoh. you stand up, looking down at the team before heading out of the gymnasium to catch some fresh air. you waved off your classmate and friend, needing a break from their craziness. a soft breath escaped your lips as you stared up at the early evening sky, the sun finally beginning its descent to rest.Â
you hadnât realized how much time had passed by because most of the parents and students in the crowd were long gone, and half of the team was already out of the clubhouse. you bit the inside of your cheek in worry, your gaze flicking to your phone. the time read 5:14, and just before you could put your phone away, you hear iwaizumiâs voice cut through the silent air.
âyou waited,â he calls out before walking towards you, oikawa forgotten with his whines. you smile gently before nodding, your gaze falling on his.
âi did, iwaizumi. i wasn't sure.. if you wanted me to, though.â you mumble, the proximity growing rapidly between the two of you. he was still in his seijoh tracksuit, with his jacket unzipped and his pants hanging loosely at his hips.Â
âfâcourse i wanted you to wait,â he murmurs, a slight smile growing on his lips.Â
âhere, letâs go to the convenience store. iâll buy you something.â you practically had no time to agree, but it wasnât like you were going to deny his free offer. so here you were, standing next to iwaizumi as you looked through the onigiri section, his hands full of protein-filled snacks.Â
âyou looked a bit annoyed after the first set,â he states plainly as you look for a pickled plum onigiri. your gaze flicks up at him as you pick up the prepared meal, a simple expression on your face.
âiâm sorry,â you state quietly.
âit gets annoying when the two people who tag along with you only talk about their.. crushes, or whatever. it sounds stupid, i know, but they sound like arrogant pricks whenever they talk about how attractive oikawa looks whenever he serves. how about you focus on the fact that we were winning instead..?â you were rambling. and iwaizumi couldnât help but be infatuated with your rambling because he agreed with every word you said. a smile was etched on his lips.Â
âbut.. ah, i saw you watching me intently, how about that?â he asked proudly before letting out a quiet breath.
âmâsorry that theyâre being stupid. they donât matter in the long run, right?â he asks quietly before walking towards the register.
âyouâre right, iwaizumi,â you whisper softly before smiling.Â
âyouâre absolutely right.â
âďž.*シ・ďž
the two of you were sharing a quiet moment as you walked around your hometown with nowhere to go. you look up at him before thinking of how to bring up the fact that being private was something you craved.
âiwaizumi?â you ask, the cool evening air running through both of your hairs.
âmm?â he asks before meeting your gaze.
âcan.. uh, we keep this to ourselves? no one really needs to know about us seeing each other, right?â you ask quietly. you didn't want to come off as rude or shy, but you did not want to be in the same category as those girls, boasting about how good-looking someone was, especially if that someone was iwaizumi.
you could tell that iwaizumi wanted that too, with the sigh of relief that escapes his lips. and you figured something else out, too. that both of you wanted each other for yourselves rather than being out and public. it wasnât like you two had gotten to a quite romantic stage of your relationship, rather than sharing shy glances, and with the walk was a form of a date, too.
âi thought youâd never ask,â he murmurs before stopping in his tracks. his gaze seemed too intense, too much like he wanted to press a kiss to your lips right then and there, but he held back just to make you comfortable. plus, it was clear that you were going to spend a lot of time with iwaizumi in the near future.

pretimeskip! atsumu x [uninterested classmate] reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 2157! :DÂ
author's note - this is so long i apologize. but like heyyyy im backkkk so here u go, 2.1k words of atsumu
atsumu miya was an obnoxious and arrogant bastard in your eyes, yet no one else ever viewed him in that manner. yes, you were in the same class as him, too. but you kept your judgmental opinion to yourself and only to yourself because you knew that if you remotely spoke ill about the man, one of his fan girls would chase you with a stake like you were a vampire that they needed to exorcise.Â
a quiet sigh escaped your lips as you aimlessly stared at the chalkboard, not caring about whatever your math teacher was babbling about. you found no need to determine whether the graph was a sine or a cosine graph â all you craved was to simply go home. yet that couldnât happen, even if the clock on the wall teased you by slowly counting down how much time was left until the bell rang for the end of the day.Â
you blink twice, your teacherâs stern voice cutting through your little daydream of freedom. you prayed that it wasnât anything with group work. the gods didnât hear your prayer, so here you were, sitting across the man you despised. he was too loud, too glaringly annoying, and most definitely pompous. you look up at him before taking a quiet breath.
âi can do the front,â you mumble, making it obvious that you didnât want conversation. you felt annoyed. why was it the last period of the day, and why did you get stuck with atsumu miya? you could hear the groans and feel the glares that drooling fangirls in your class were giving you. if they were that obsessed with him, you wouldâve gladly given up your seat.Â
he notices your quiet demeanor compared to the other people heâs met in your grade. you werenât loud, you didnât bring up volleyball and his achievements. you were just a simple student trying to get out of classes, off to whatever club you were in.Â
âright.. then, iâll do the back.â he states in that same condescending tone that you hated. you wanted to scoff and roll your eyes, but all you manage to produce is a quiet hum, staring down at your paper because he didnât deserve eye contact.Â
the fifteen minutes they got to work on their exit ticket were the most silent minutes that atsumuâs ever experienced. maybe a little âcan i borrow your calculatorâ here and there from atsumu and a nod from you, but that was it.Â
you set your pencil down as your gaze flicked to atsumu. if you were a prick, you wouldâve scowled as you looked down at him. but you didnât. your shoulders fell as you watched him focus on the pre-calculus problems. huh, he was a bit better when he was quiet.
âare you almost done?â you ask, breaking the silence. he looked up at you, and for the first time, you recognized a sheepish and somewhat bashful smile on his lips. he wasnât being a douche in any form. you raise an eyebrow before tilting your head in confusion.Â
â⌠do you need help, miya?â you ask plainly. you wanted to deadpan, but this was expected. you canât expect a genius in athletics to be a genius in school, too.Â
âuh, mânot.. asking for yer help, ya know. but if youâre offerinââŚâ he murmurs before sitting up, leaning in closer to look at your paper. you blink at the sudden proximity.Â
âno, no, miya. i will help you, just donât get so.. close,â you grumble out before subconsciously pushing him away, your hand lingering on his chest. you let go, feeling odd about touching atsumu miya.Â
this time, there was a coy smile on his face rather than a sheepish one. and oh, you ignited the side of atsumu miya that you so desperately despised. because here he was, thinking of how to bother his new infatuation: you.Â
âthere.. do you understand it now?â you ask in a quiet voice. you really wanted to go home now. but you had to put on a little show because your teacher was walking behind your desk. a soft sigh escaped your lips as you looked up at atsumu.Â
âmm, guess I do.â he murmurs, his gaze falling on yours. why was he holding eye contact?Â
you finally deadpanned. and a laugh leaves his lips. a loud laugh that caused some eyes to be on your desk. you want to hide from all of the stares and especially at how loud he was. you frown slightly at how brute he really was.Â
âyouâre so loud, miya..! there is absolutely nothing funny, so why are you laughing?â your disdain for him finally slips out, the slight pout of your lips and your scrunched-up face showing how exactly you felt.Â
âso ya donât like me?â he asks bluntly, the same coy smile etched on his lips.Â
âwhat..? no, miya, i donât even know you.â you respond, your eyebrows furrowing together.Â
âwell.., ya know, everyone loves me here for reasons. whether itâs volleyball or fer my looks â you do realize those little fangirls in our class run a club for me? little olâ me has a fan club, sâamusing.â He explains, yet his explanation made no sense.
your gaze flicks to the group of girls who are now glaring at you. âyou expect me to be like them, miya? i apologize, but my personality doesnât revolve around you.â you look into his eyes before sighing once more.
âi donât even know you, miya. i didnât want to be your partner, and to be honest, youâre quite obnoxious. and very, very arrogant, considering your little explanation.â you confess, but you frown at his growing smile. if anyone else heard that, they wouldâve been fighting or screaming back. but he was smiling.Â
âso.. can, uh, we get to know each other, then?â he asks before raising his eyebrows.Â
âyou want to get to know me?â you ask in confusion, a hint of disbelief on your lips. you felt stupid. the man you hated with your entire soul was asking to get to know you.
âfine. you can try, miya.â you state plainly, the disbelief leaving your face.Â
oh, did he try. he was like a desperate man every single time he saw you walking down the corridors of inarizaki; he would either walk away from his brother without hesitation to bother you, or stare at you, his gaze always finding yours. he would also creep up behind you â his presence being the easiest to recognize â whenever you stood at the vending machines.Â
âmiya,â you mumble in an annoyed tone as you click on the milk tea that was calling your name, the clock hitting 3:38, eight minutes after school ended.Â
âyou have to stop creeping up on me like that. please.â you state, a quiet sigh escaping your lips as you crouch down to pick up your drink. you look up at him as you walk away from the vending machine, his cheeky smile on his lips.Â
âya should be nice like that more often, you know. ya never say please to me.â you deadpan at his somewhat whiny tone, taking a sip of the milk tea.Â
âno, no, i shouldnât, considering how much you're whining.â You murmur before looking ahead.Â
âdonât you have practice? i have to go to my club soon,â you state plainly, the sweet taste dissipating on your tongue.Â
âmm, yeah, soon. kâdressed already, but âsamu wanted a snack, that fatass,â he mumbles, making fun of his brother.Â
âso.. go. no need to stand with me.â you state bluntly, your gaze falling on his.
âbut i wanna stand with ya,â he teases, stepping closer to increase your proximity.Â
âyouâve got to stop with your need for being close to me, miya.â you whine slightly, your shoulders falling in defeat.
âyer so dense, ya know?â he states, his voice falling quiet. you swallow before rolling your eyes in annoyance.Â
âexcuse me?â you ask in a scoff before you feel his hands on your shoulders. you blink twice, a quiet hum of confusion escaping your throat.Â
âi like ya, you know? i dun just chase after every girl,â he admits in a hushed voice. you look into his eyes to find any insincerity, but he was speaking the truth.Â
âme? why me, atsumu?â you ask softly. you felt guilty; you didnât deserve a crush from him. youâve hated him for so long, but it was like those months of loathing were all gone, ever since he chased after you every day.Â
ânâi like the way my name sounds on yer lips, too,â he confesses, a soft breath leaving his lips. you could tell he was nervous. he was biting down on the inside of his cheek, and he was searching your gaze so that you could reciprocate his feelings. olleyball wasnât on his mind; clearly, it was filled with thoughts of you.
and thatâs exactly what flipped the switch for him. he was staring at the ceiling in his bedroom, confused as to why he was only thinking about you. he deadpanned as he watched osamu get up from the lower bunk to grab a bag of chips that he hid in their closet from their mother whenever he got hungry. osamu took a seat on their desk chair before he looked up at his brother, a sarcastic smile on his lips.Â
âwhoâs the person ya leave me for, âtsumu?â he asks, his voice getting slightly interested.
âya idiot, itâs a classmate.â he mutters in annoyance, clicking his tongue together.Â
âa classmate, right. because ya walk that classmate everywhere, nâthey look bored. if ya like âem, âtsumu, tell them now. cuz youâll get sad and whiny if they donât confess to ya first. nâ iâm not dealing with that at practice.â he states in a plain tone as he crunches on his chips.Â
atsumu sits up, staring at his brother in confusion.Â
âhuh. i should, shouldnât i?â he asks rhetorically before climbing down to steal some chips from his twin. the look of disdain on osamuâs face was something that atsumu ignored.Â
âmâgonna do it before practice, âsamu.â he states bluntly. the look of pride on atsumuâs face pissed off osamu, so he kicked his brother in the back of his knees, causing him to fall on the floor.Â
âya dunce! thasâ exactly why ya dun steal my stuff. nâ if they reject you, iâll kick yer ass at practice, âtsumu.âÂ
â...âsamu!â he whined out, sitting on the floor as he rubbed his knees. maybe thatâs why you noticed a tiny bruise on his knees as he crept up behind you.
âya see me for me,â he whispers quietly.Â
âplease, if yer not gonna say anything, dun let me down slowly,â he squeezes on your shoulders. but you didnât respond with words, but rather with actions.Â
because here you were, wrapping your arms around his neck as you hid your face in his shoulder. his hands let go of your shoulders as they subconsciously found their way to your waist.Â
âi like you too, atsumu.â you whisper back, your warm breath making him shiver.Â
âoh, thank god, pretty,â he whispered, pressing a kiss to your hair. you closed your eyes, not complaining at the sudden show of affection and the pet name. he squeezed your waist, the action being a sign for you to look up.Â
you looked up, your gaze falling on his.Â
âdâya wanna come to my game tomorrow?â he asked in a less desperate tone.Â
âof course i will,â you respond with a smile on your lips.Â
âi got atsumu miya to confess first, itâs the least I can do.â you state in a joking manner. it was the first time heâd seen you tease and joke like him, and he liked the fact that he was bleeding into you.Â
âdun go around telling people that, âkay?â he asks in an amused scoff before smiling.
âuh huh, i know, atsumu. go get your brother his snack. iâll see you.. tomorrow, then?âÂ
âmmh, yeah, pretty. tomorrow.â he let go of you, the milk tea in your hand forgotten.Â
you felt confused that evening. but it wasnât so confusing, because you expected him to have some sort of positive feeling towards you, with how much time you were spending together. it was simple and easy to understand because youâd finally proved a physics phenomenon correct: that opposites do attract, and not just positive and negative charges. it could be pessimistic and idealistic people, too. because atsumu miya got the most boring and quiet person in his math class to feel knots and butterflies in their stomach whenever his name was ever uttered in their presence, even if it was feelings of hatred or romance. and the same thing happened to him as he fumbled up some sets at practice, because the only thing on his mind was you.

pretimeskip! kageyama x reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 1231! :DÂ
you, tobio kageyama, and akira kunimi grew up in the same neighborhood. because you three were around the same age, you spent a pretty good time with them, whether if you sat in kunimiâs backyard as kageyama fought with the latter, or when the two of you would walk home together after middle school.
though, it all changed. kageyama didnât want to go to aoba johsai whereas kunimi did. and you on the other hand, got into fukudorani on a scholarship. you remember eavesdropping unintentionally on kunimi and kageyamaâs sisters talking about how sad theyâll be to see the three of you go, regardless of the fights everyone had with each other once in a while.Â
you waved both boys off, even if they had some thin ice to break due to volleyball. moving to tokyo for the school year was odd to say the least, considering how far miyagi was from tokyo. you thankfully got set up sooner than later, when shirofuku, the boysâ volleyball head manager called you over one day.
âyou.. should be a manager with us,â she says in a relaxed tone, with kaori standing beside her. with kaori being in one of your electives, you felt more at ease. you knew that the two managers were third-years, so they probably wanted you to be their new manager. you had some experience with volleyball considering your upbringing. you agreed a couple days later.
which wasnât a good idea, considering the two girls invited you to help out at the training camp.Â
âmm, yeah, bokuto said that karasunoâs coming. theyâre from miyagi. isn't that where youâre from?â kaori asks gently, a soft smile on her face as she turns to you. you blink twice as you hear the familiar high school. you nod subconsciously, a slight hint of confusion on your face.
âoh.. um, yeah, iâm from miyagi.â you respond. wait, karasuno? you felt too embarrassed to see kageyama, knowing he was probably on the team. you sigh quietly to yourself as you notice said team, but no kageyama and.. orange haired guy? you listen to the nekoma captain and setter snicker to themselves as the team looks around.Â
âoh.. theyâre missing two people, huh?â shirofuku says in a chuckle, looking around as she stands by the coach. you follow after her quietly, setting the teams set of bottles on the bench. you give a gentle nod to akaashi, probably the only normal person you resonate with on the team, with him giving you one back.Â
an hour, give or take, passed. you yawn quietly as you walk to the doors of the gym, needing some fresh air. the two girls were talking with the coach, so you finally had an excuse to slip away. or not, considering how dramatically fashionable the two first years open the door. you pause as you accidentally make eye contact with your familiar.
â..tobio, youâre late.â you mumble quietly as you look at him. the sheer stupidness on his face made you feel a bit homesick, considering how much you oh so desperately missed your friend. you swore you saw a hint of that same nostalgia in his gaze, but you ignored it. he blinks twice, giving you an awkward nod as his gaze turns to the loud snickering and giggles shared by the entire nekoma team. a sigh escapes your lips as you walk out of the gymnasium, making up the lazy excuse that you were shutting off the hose.Â
now, youâre standing with both of the karasuno managerâs. finally, someone in the same year as you. turns out, sheâs petrified of you. hitoka yachi was her name. a groan escaped your lips as you left the awkward situation, going back to your home school. until you couldnât, because your oh so silly friend from home bumps into you as he grabs more rice.Â
âoh.. sorry,â he murmurs as he opens the rice cooker. you raise an unamused eyebrow, a small scoff leaving your lips.Â
âyou're still oblivious, tobio.â you mutter silently as he looks at you.
âand you have rice on your cheek. wipe it.â that was how the two, no the three of you grew up. kunimi would always make fun of kageyama for being so out of space, and out of touch with reality. and youâd boss him around, knowing heâd get pissed at you. it made the two of you laugh all the time.Â
and so he did. he wiped his cheek.
âwhat, did tokyo make you even more bossy?â he quips back, practically scarfing down his second bowl of rice. you look into his eyes as he chews and talks, something you told him to never do. kageyamaâs âupperclassmenâ were eyeing the two of you down. why was their little first year talking with the cute fukudorani manager?Â
âno⌠i just miss bossing you around, tobio.â you mumble as you cross your arms. you blink twice as you notice the prominent height difference. woah, when did he get so tall? and.. so built..?
âboth you and akira are taller than me now. remember in middle school when i was taller?â you ask in a snicker, stifling back the memories down your brain.Â
you swore you saw tobioâs eyes flicker with something. Was it the same nostalgia from before? You blink twice as he falls silent, the two of you standing in the quiet corner of the dining room where the food was, further away from all of the teams.Â
âyou still talk to him?â he asks quietly, setting his bowl off to the side.Â
âwhat..? a little, sometimes. i saw him when i went back for break. his sister invited me over. said she missed me.â you respond back as you lean on the closest surface.Â
âhe told me itâs been awkward ever since you guys played that one practice match.â now, you knew kageyama wasnât a man of words. the boy was always hyper-fixed on volleyball.Â
âi.. donât know what happened ever since that one game in middle school. but i don't think akira is so angry anymore,â you say as you notice his silence. you blink twice as you let out a quiet sigh.
âdonât go silent, tobio.â you mumble as you look into his eyes.
âi'm not,â he murmurs. a chuckle escapes your lips as you shake your head.
âi missed you,â you say, your voice turning a bit more sensitive than usual.Â
âa lot.âÂ
his gaze looks at you, the blank and cool stare almost immediately dissipating. instead, it becomes a look of nostalgia.
âme too,â he whispers, not noticing how low his voice got.Â
the training camp ended well. you wouldnât have said that, but you know it did because you got the ogling stares he gave you every time he did his diving drills, or when you helped the petrified blonde manager hand him serves after his little fight with his partner.Â
it ended really well when you two shared a quiet, intimate hug in front of the building. youâd woken up early to help out with breakfast, which was when you noticed him going out for a run in the dead of the morning.Â
âtobio, donât forget me,â you mumble quietly as you pull back from the hug. he nods as he looks into your eyes.Â
â..i donât think i can.â

timeskip! iwaizumi x [athletic trainer] reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 981! :DÂ
being an athletic trainer has been your dream ever since high school, i mean, those volunteer hours spent at the trainers in high school was so worth it. you got to spend time with your friends who were athletes who got hurt and learn from your high schoolâs trainers.
now, you were in the real world. landing a job on the menâs national volleyball team wasnât on your radar, but it was your dream to be an athletic trainer. being that, you took up the job a year before iwaizumi. during college, you remember your professors saying that there were typically two trainers for one athletic team. so when you took up the job first, you felt a bit disheartened that youâd have to tape up these huge menâs hands and fingers, help them ice their bodies, and much more all by yourself. youâd only been their trainer for practice because it wasnât olympic season.Â
but the second he walked in, your doubts cleared. it was pretty well into the year, with you chatting it up with some usual visitors, bokuto and kuroo from the promotion department. they just 'didnât want to leave their cute trainer all alone' which was a line that ticked you off most of the time. you look up as you hear the door creak open, with coach hibarida and iwaizumi standing there. your eyes subconsciously flickered to the clock, with it reading 3:21. you were taping up bokutoâs fingers as you tilt your head at the two men. smiling gently, you stand up as you instruct the outside hitter to finish taping up himself.Â
âare you the new trainer?â you ask, your tone polite as you shake iwaizumiâs hand. you introduce yourself to him, with the coach leaving the two.. or, well, four of you in the room. the last thing the man stated was for âbokuto to get his ass back out there,â or something like that.Â
and he did just that, the number of people in the room dwindling to three.Â
âkuroo, let me go help iwaizumi around, go back to the office,â you say in your usual tone. a quiet grumble escaped the black haired manâs lips as he waved you two off, leaving you and iwaizumi all alone. god, you werenât religious, but you swore god gave this man the best genes on earth. he was toned, tan, like an all-american boy. it did shock you when he told you he went to college in america.Â
âwait, what?â you ask, a dumbfounded expression evident on your face. he lets out a quiet yet gruff chuckle, nodding in the process as he stood around the room, his hip leaned on one of the beds.Â
âmm? yeah, i did. for kinesiology. and you?â he asks, the question slipping through his mouth so effortlessly... hot.Â
âoh.. i went for sports medicine,â you say as you adjust your expression â reverting to your usual smile on the lips.
âyes, i know, i took the more nerdy and sciencey route, but it was kinda fun,â you say gently as you put back the ankle weights kuroo was playing with.Â
âwho said I was judging? i was too scared for all of that, seeing all the prereqs. props to you for doing that.â he said as he followed behind. you nodded, a soft laugh escaping your lips.
âprops to me? no, props to you for leaving the country for kinesiology. i'm such a homebody, i could never.â you say as you turn to him.Â
âah, right, the ankle weights go in the bottom drawer,â you say, hoping he can retain some information. you had to teach yourself all of this, so you were glad you could help him. he nods as he closes the drawer for you, watching you adjust your clothes from crouching down.Â
âso youâre a homebody?â he asked in such a light tone, you swore you heard some underlying teasing in it. you raise an eyebrow as you nod.
âyes, iâd rather stay home than go out. itâs more comfortable.â you could tell the guy just spent his days in the gym.Â
âso, what do you do in your free time?â you ask as he looks around the room, smiling at all the gear and machines he was excited to operate.Â
"the usual, go to the gym, visit some friends every once in a while,â he says quite plainly. you were putting back bokutoâs rugged tape, your hand instinctively throwing it into the tape basket.Â
âsounds fun, no?â he asks. you wondered how he managed to stand so respectively close to you. it made something in your mind switch.Â
âi could never go to the gym for fun..â you say sarcastically. you were relatively active. you were an athletic trainer.. for a reason.Â
âcome with me sometime. maybe youâre doing all the boring machines. iâll teach you,â he says, the invite practically slipping out of his mouth so plainly, that you hardly noticed he was flirting with you. you looked up at him, a snicker escaping your lips.Â
âsure.. iâll just spot you if i go. you look like you lift.â you respond back to the conspicuous invite.
âyou better keep your word, my dear partner.â he says, copying your quiet snicker. you didnât know why, but, god, that made you think some unspeakable thoughts.
you knew the little tour you gave him of the trainers room ended well because when a familiar face, tobio kageyama walked in, iwaizumi offered to help him.Â
âiâll see you at the gym,â he says as you stand by the door. you blink twice as you watch him tape up the awkward setterâs fingers. you nod in response, heading out a bit earlier than usual.Â
why?
you were getting ready for a little late-night gym sesh, nothing much, right?

author's note - sorry for my unannouced hiatus! i'll try to be back up and posting soonâ
you blink twice as your boyfriend calls for your name from the bathroom, causing your attention to shift from the television screen to his voice.
âbabe, could you get my phone for me?â he asked from the bathroom. you sighed to yourself. you had reminded him over and over again to take his phone with him just because this wouldn't happen. you hear the shower running, knowing he would take one soon anyway. he did just come back from a strenuous practice, hence why you weren't so surprised. but a notification popped up at 4:17.Â
âyour storage is almost full, would you like to buy more?â
huh, you knew he took pictures to have memories of your dates or save his sister's funny reels that she would send him. you didn't mind it, but really? rintarou suna needed more storage? the two of you were at that point in your relationship where privacy was still there, but it was okay if it was crossed. so you open the notification, punching in his passcode as you yell back, a little âcoming!â even if the walk from the living room to the bathroom was less than thirty seconds.Â
you raise an eyebrow at how organized everything was. the folders, all of them having their little names and.. one titled âpretty girl.âÂ
huh?
he only called you that in the heat of the moment, the hushed whispers you two would shamelessly share in your bedroom, the soft pants and groans escaping his lips as he called you his pretty girl. you felt a hint of bashfulness fogging up your brain.Â
i mean, yeah.. you always did tell him to record you so he wouldn't get too bored during his away games on the weekend, or whenever the volleyball season started up. the part that shocked you the most was how perfectly the folder was placed, so intricately hidden and naughty, all for himself. he hid the most vile, back-arching videos of you in between some sweet innocent pictures of you eating food or him making fun of you. Â
âbaby?â he yelled out. you snapped out of your daze, rushing to the bathroom. the one thing you told yourself to do was swipe out of the app, but you didnât. once he saw it open: it was a secret he kept for himself, liking the little dirty lie they kept.
âsorry, rin.. the show was getting good.â you say as you hand him his phone. he raises his eyebrows slightly, looking at you.
âmm? really? mâgonna watch with you after.â he said in his usual voice as he placed a calm kiss on your forehead.Â
âmkayyy,â you dragged out. you close the door behind him so he could hurry up. he looks down at his phone, his hand freezing as he saw the scene open in front of him. there was a smile resting on his lips as he saw looked down on his oh so dirty videos of you. huh, now he has blackmail to ask you for more. it was simple, the little video of you practically posing for the flashes of the camera while you showed your boyfriend just how much you missed him wasnât enough.Â
and he did just that â use you going through his phone as an excuse to get more out of you.
there he was, standing outside of the bathroom with a towel lazily hanging around his hips, shamelessly showing his toned v-line. you looked up at him as you paused your show, a soft smile on your lips.Â
ârin! the girl finally rememââ you blink as you get cut off from him, a hint of confusion displayed on your face.
âpretty girl, come help me dry my hair.â he said, another towel hanging around his neck as he gestured for you to come close to him. you sighed to yourself as you stood up, grabbing the towel from his neck.
â..you cut me off, rin..â you mumble quietly as you intricately ruffle his hair with the white towel. he noticed you didnât react to the pet name, making him want to say it again.
âmâsorry, pretty, tell me âbout the show,â he said gently. you looked into his eyes. ugh, you hated that tone so much because it made your stomach twist and turn like how it did on your first date together.Â
âit's okay, rinnie..â you say as you press a kiss on his nose.Â
âthe girl finally remembered her boyfriend. and she broke her love triangle by going back to him.â you notice he wasnât paying attention, a huff escaping your lips.Â
âmm, sorry, baby. iâm listening. i just got a thing from my photos.â and at that, you shut up. why? simply put, the app never sent notifications unless anyone was on it for a minute or more.Â
âoh.. um, why?â you ask sheepishly as you feel his hand rest on your hip in a boring manner, but his fingertips digging into your shirt say more.Â
â..dunno. need to get more storage. you wouldnât have an idea why, pretty?â he asked in a teasing tone. now, you realized you messed up. why? because when your boyfriend got like this, he made no haste to practically bully you into submission. so you canceled his whole blackmailing scheme and fessed up.Â
âdon't, rintarou. don't say what you're going to say,â you mumble in a timid-like manner. a sly, coy smile lays on his lips.Â
âthen letâs get to filming, my pretty girl.âÂ

timeskip! atsumu x [interviewer] reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 1158! :DÂ
being a sports journalist had its perks, i mean.. itâs not everyday where you get to meet all of these famous athletes. before you got all of the interviewing jobs, you became slightly inclined towards volleyball. whether it was womenâs volleyball or menâs, you were interested in how their minds worked, hence why you loved interviewing them. you did more broadcast journalism, and not classic journalism.Â
now, youâve been accepted to interview one of the menâs national volleyball team's setters, and the jackalsâ setter: atsumu miya.Â
it was a post-game interview, so quick and fast paced was the label for it. setters were interesting. being the brains of the team was something that wasnât for everyone.Â
you sigh to yourself as you stand in the vicinity of the game. it was a fast paced game. you noticed the relationship atsumu had with his teammates. he seemed to have their back, even when times were rough. but.. that wasnât the case. you clearly saw the outcome of the game, even if it was just the first set.Â
it was 7:49, and now youâre internally groaning to yourself as you walk up to the cameras. you swore you were used to the whole process, but you had a gut feeling about atsumu. you smile at the cameraman as he hands you the microphone. and of course, heâs walking up to you. he waves his teammates off, and he looks at you and the cameraman.Â
âweâll be live in just a moment.â you say plainly as you adjust yourself in front of the camera. atsumu didnât like that. why? simply put, he wanted the cute interviewer's attention.Â
âwhereâs the other interviewer â the old guy?â he asks as you look up at him. you blink and you raise an eyebrow.
âi'm sorry..?â you ask, a bit confused at his random question. there was no other interviewer, hell, no one even took up this job because they were too scared to talk to a professional volleyball player.Â
ââŚi dunno.â you mumble as the cameraman starts counting down. you sigh as you go through the questions in your head. you look up at him and smile, indicating you were live.
âso, atsumu miya! many people always mix up you and your twin brother, considering you two live in the same city. how does that make you feel?â you ask, putting on a front. you couldâve sworn you saw his eyes wandering, but you didnât say anything. you blink twice, confused as to why heâs silent.
ââŚi dunno.â he mumbles, seemingly mocking your statement that you said before you two were live. there was a cocky smile on his face -one that you truly hated. you kept up your front and you didn't push the question.
âokay thenâŚ!â you say in your cheeky television voice. you swallow back the need to just walk off, and you continue with the conversation.Â
âyou and shoyo hinata seem really close! why is that?â you ask politely, not wanting to cause any big issues. you move the microphone to his mouth, and he looks down at you. he smiles and he takes the microphone from you, his fingers wrapping around yours. you swore to keep your cool, but your frown didnât show that. he leans down to answer your question, holding eye contact with you the entire time.
âmm? well, im his setter. shouldnât i be close with the guy i'm setting to?â he asks condescendingly. you just chuckle and you nod.
âah.. um, yes..?â you say as you basically yank the microphone back from his grasp. the interview went on like that: fighting over the microphone like cats and dogs. after the cameraman showed that the two of you were over, you just groan loudly.
he wipes some of his sweat from his forehead with the bottom of his jersey, showing his.. well, clearly built body. you were pissed off at the guy you just met, but god, he was hot.Â
âwhat.. what the hell, dude..?â you ask bluntly, looking up at him as the cameraman scurries away.Â
âi'm sorryâŚ?â he asks once again, imitating you. you blink as you realize his stupid mocking voice.
âwhat did i ever do to you..?â you ask in a half grumble, half whine. you knew you were going to get your ear chewed off when you went back to the office tomorrow. the defeated look that your body posture showed spoke volumes for him. he went to stand in front of you, the same stupid smile on his face. he puts his hands on his hips and he shrugs.Â
âya didnât say hi to me properly, cutie. i felt so unwelcome, i couldn't answer those questions properly..â he says in a half-dramatic half teasing voice. so this was your fault? you stare at him with a dumbfounded expression, ignoring the pet name he gave you.Â
âoh.. my god.â you mutter, a bit pissed off at him. you scoff and you take a couple steps back.
âyouâre a baby, atsumu miya.â you say bluntly as you start to head out, leaving him with a dumbfounded expression now. you didn't care if it was disrespectful to leave a professional like that, but this was his home court. he could navigate his way around.Â
you sigh to yourself as you step out of your bossâs office, a frown eminent on your lips. your phone was ringing, which was kind of odd considering you took work seriously, so everyone knew to not call you during work hours. it was an unknown number, interesting. being upset with the entire interview situation, you pick up, wondering if itâll add onto your bad mood.
âhi, cutie.â is all you can hear from the other side of the line. you want to grumble and scream in the middle of the news room, but you don't. because the unknown caller that you so happened to know speaks once more.
ânext game, i want you to interview me again. iâll treat you out to dinner for all the problems i caused.â he states. atsumu miya was a conceited, arrogant bastard in your mind. so why was this bastard saying that heâd treat you out? you swallow silently, keeping your cool so none of your co-workers tease you.
â..fine.â you mumble, not bothering to confirm if it was atsumu and how he got your number. you head over to your desk, sinking into the uncomfortable office chair. he hung up first. it was a quick call, more like he demanded you to interview him so he could fix his mistakes.Â
wait. you just bagged a date with a hot volleyball player? every single thought of unimaginable things were becoming, well, imaginable. maybe this little dinner would be something memorable.Â
you knew it was. why? simply put, the setter has his ways to get with his type. and you were his type.Â

being the partner of a streamer â kenma kozume â was amazing, but it also had its downfalls. i mean, itâs not in every relationship where both parties respect the fact that one doesnât have enough time for the other. kenma was always streaming, always sitting in his office on phone calls and with him being the head of a huge company, it didnât help you at all. you missed your boyfriend. you enjoyed the soft whispers and praises you gave him as he fell asleep on you. that was the only time you two had together: the ten minutes you both cherished before you both dozed off.Â
you walk into your shared home, dropping your work bag in the front as you slip off your shoes. you wanted to tell kenma something. as you were heading back from work, you remembered a little something your coworker told you. she was giddy about some firework show that was happening in her local park. it was nice that you two lived a couple minutes away from each other. she didnât convince you fully. you wanted to go with kenma. you truly did.Â
you donât announce that youâre home by the worry that heâs streaming or in a meeting. you knock on his door, and you smile at the soft âcome inâ he says. you practically jump as you walk in, but you contain yourself.
âken, can i ask you something?â you ask as you lean on his desk, your smile still eminent on your face. he gives you a nod, his gaze looking up at you from his screen.
âcan.. we go somewhere? in thirty minutes? itâll.. um, itâll be a surprise. you can wear whatever.â you say in a hopeful tone. you missed your boyfriend. you missed the little dates you had when he first started university. you look into his eyes with a somewhat longing gaze, hoping that heâd agree.Â
and he did.Â
âmm.. okay, iâm free tonight anyways.â he said in a somewhat soft manner. the joy that spread across your face spoke volumes for him.Â
it was 9:28pm, and now you two were sitting on some damp grass with a blanket over the two of you. you lean your head on his shoulder. it felt so.. warm. you knew he hated displaying affection in public sometimes, but he let it go for you.
âi still donât know what weâre doing, yâknow..â he murmured quietly as he looked at you. the adoring look in his eyes made your stomach twist into knots.Â
âyouâll see.â you whispered as the clock hit nine-thirty. and that was when the first firework started up. you didnât even tell your coworker that you were there. the quiet chuckle he let out made you smile. you gave him a peck on his neck and you let out a soft sigh.Â
âwhat? i know itâs corny, but i havenât seen you in a while. this is the closest thing weâll get to a date.â you mumble back as you snuggle into him.Â
he let out another quiet chuckle and he didnât respond. it felt odd at most, but when you saw his gaze, everything changed. he looked up at each firework like it was a work of art; his eyes lighting up at every pop and glimmer he sees. you couldnât help but stare at him.Â
your boyfriend looked beautiful.Â
âthank you.â he whispered as his gaze turned to yours, the two of you practically staring at each other now. you smile and you turn your body to sit up straight at him.Â
âyeah, baby. any time. i love you.â you say softly. you knew the night ended well because the ten minutes together that you usually spent before bed lasted an hour. it was a somewhat lazy night, but you both enjoyed it dearly.Â
you knew the night was basically perfect because of his eyes. his gaze was still so bright and affectionate even after the show.

pretimeskip! osamu x reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 1044! :D
author's note - this kinda sat in my drafts for a week it just didn't hit but i spiced it up at the end lolol
itâs crazy how high school relationships come and go. although you and osamu werenât in a relationship per se, everyone practically knew that you two were talking. and seeing that you two were talking meant a lot in high school. it was funny watching suna and atsumu interrogate osamu about you.
you werenât popular, but everyone could think of a face in their head when your name came up in conversation. being in suna and osamuâs class didnât help with the fact that everyone knew both of your business. the giggles and whispers made you slightly annoyed, but you brushed it off.
you sigh to yourself as your friend chews your ear off. sheâs just talking and talking about atsumu. whyâd he even have a fan club? his brother was cuter anyways. somehow, she manages to convince you to go to the volleyball game that was taking place at their home court.
the school day went on normally. thankfully, people were starting to stop their teases and chuckles. you sit down in your class, not noticing osamu coming up to you. you lean in your seat, your eyes flicking up to him.
âoh.. hey, osamu.â you say softly, not wanting anyone to cause a big deal over this interaction.
â..heard youâre coming to the game.â he says as he chews on some snack heâd picked up from the vending machine.
you nod at this. a slight smile creeps up your lips. you loved how much he loved food. it was so cute.
âyeah, is it okay?â you ask as you adjust your languid posture.
his eyes slightly lit up at your smile. he could get used to seeing it everyday.
âhuh? yeah, courseâ it is.â he mumbles as he licks his upper lip.
âjust didnât want anyone forcing you. you never come to the games.â he says as he crumbles up the wrapper in his hand.
you blink at this. god, he was observant. you pause as he looks down at you. you hated how loud the games got. you were slightly surprised that he noticed that.
âoh, no. my friend didnât want to go aloneâ you say, standing up with him so you two can throw out the wrapper together.
as you two walked to the trash can, an idea came up in your head. it was friday after all.
âosamu..? do you think we can go out somewhere after your game?â you ask quietly. you just indirectly asked him out on a date. you two just talked as âfriendsâ and never anything more. you had a gut feeling that your liking towards each other was mutual.
he pauses as he throws his trash away, his head turning to you slightly.
âsure.â he says, ignoring the knots turning and twisting in his stomach. they were the good kind of knots, though. like the way your stomach feels on a rollercoaster. he hated but loved the effect you had on him.
you smile as you look at him yet sadly the bell rang, indicating the start of class.
it was match point, and the crowd was dead silent at the start of atsumuâs serve. you couldnât help but let out a quiet laugh, one that he thankfully didnât hear, at atsumuâs glare at some giggling girls who just happened to be from your class. the game ended on a perfect note, with atsumu getting a service ace. you didnât notice osamuâs eyes flicking throughout the crowd to see if you were there. the bleachers cleared out pretty quickly, and you were just left there. you didnât know what to do exactly. were you supposed to wait at your seat..? or head over to the clubhouse? you managed to wait by the front of the school, and it didnât take long for him to find you.
now, itâs 7:52pm, and you two are sitting at a buffet. you giggled to yourself as you saw him practically devour plates of food. he titled his head with his usual expression. you already said all of your congratulations on winning and indirect praises to him. you two sat in a comfortable silence, but your giggle broke it.
âwhatâs up?â he asked as he swallowed his food. your gaze seemed longing â to him at least â which caused his expression to soften. you blink twice at his change.
âoh..â you mumble, your mind and thoughts running faster than an olympian.
âi like the way you light up every time you eat, osamu.â you admitted quite bluntly. you processed what you said a while later.
âyou.. do?â he asked skeptically. it didnât seem very skeptical.. more adoring. his gaze turned to yours, with you two holding eye contact. you saw a slight smile on his face, causing you to smile a bit too.
âum, yeah. itâs.. kind of cute, honestly.â you said; a soft chuckle accompanying it. something in you changed, because you didnât expect your mind to tell you to confess to him.
âosamu? i think i like you.â you confessed, your fork dropping on the plate as your full attention was now on him. for the first time, you saw his cheeks turn to a slight hue of pink.
âme.. too.â he said in a more hushed tone. he looked away from you, his gaze dropping to his now empty plate. you were pretty thankful that the hostess seated you two in the way back where no one was, and you were very thankful that your confession was worth it.
it didnât take you long to process everything while you two were standing outside of the buffet. you felt your body churn in embarrassment, but that embarrassment turned to excitement.
your relationship was a quiet secret that only his twin knew about. you didnât need to explain anything to anyone, so you two were just.. good friends in school. but osamu knew that this hidden relationship would bloom into something more.
the burning desire in both of you was mutual, and you both felt it â whether it was spoken through hushed whispers and murmurs in the empty classroom where you two ate lunch together, or his shared bedroom whenever atsumu was out practicing in the backyard.

you open your eyes as a wave of grogginess hits you. you rest on your elbows as you see the closet light flick open. you sigh to yourself as you realize that bokuto was up. it was too early for this, i mean the sun wasnât even fully out. you blink twice to fully regain consciousness, a slight tired groan escaping your lips.Â
you stayed perked up on the bed. you watched bokuto walk out of the closet â his clothes not even on yet. he always woke up so early so he could go on a morning run, head to the gym, and rush to practice. it amazed you, truly. he was always gone for the entire day due to his hectic schedule. you typically woke up later than him due to you working in the late morning till the late afternoon. so the slight shock on his face when he saw you up made you giggle quietly.Â
âgood morning, âkouâ you mumble tiredly as he walks up to you. you knew he had to go soon, but you just wanted to say hi. you both never saw each other in the morning so it was quite a blessing to be able to say good morning.Â
âmorning, baby..â he dragged out the pet name, causing you to smile. you look down at your nails. youâd gotten them done yesterday: a simple french manicure. but you didnât expect them to cause that.Â
the closet light gleamed right on his back. you noticed a couple of scratches dragging down his back. they were subtly placed in random spots. the small of his back suffered most of them, but he didnât seem to care. knowing him, he probably took pride in them. you had to lean back and stare for a moment. oh god, were you digging into his back that much? everywhere looked red, but a smile was eminent on his face. you frowned slightly at his stupid smile, but the butterflies in your stomach made the frown go away.Â
âmâsorry..â you mumbled as you looked up at him. the two of you shared... quite the memorable night together after his oh-so-immaculate win from the game prior. he just let out a soft chuckle, his voice still raspy from how early it was.Â
âmm.. sorry? for these?â he asked in a more quieter tone than his usual. you nodded as you hugged him. it just felt natural.
it was 4:36 in the morning, and you were hugging him. you felt sentimental. maybe it was because it was so early, but you knew that both of you needed it. his hands holding your waist, your arms around his neck.Â
âkouâ... have fun todayâ you whispered sweetly into his ear. your tired voice, your arms around his neck, and the softness of your body made him melt into you even more. he just nods like an idiot, causing you to smile.Â
you smelt so good to him. he loved everything about you â your hair, your eyes. but he knew that if he stayed any longer, the day would snowball into something worse. he didnât want to leave. he squeezed your waist gently and he looked into your eyes. you understood the gaze he gave you, and you just nodded. you knew he had to go sooner than later.Â
âi love you,â you said as he stood up. he put on his shirt and he looked down at you. somehow, the simple peck that he gave you on your lips made you content. you fall back into the mattress that felt softer than anything youâd ever felt.Â
âi love you more!â he said in a more louder voice as he left the bedroom. he left your shared home shortly after.Â
he knew that today was going to be a good day. he felt all motivation surging through him as he remembered your groggy voice from moments before.Â

it was a typical night at the bar. you watch some college kids get drunker and drunker because theyâre âcelebratingâ the end of their midterms. at the other side of the counter, you see an old guy trying to flirt aimlessly with the hot girl who always orders a sophisticated drink. you grumble quietly as you make the stupid mai tai for her. but, there was one interesting thing that was slightly different. you knew that the restaurant always hosted gigs for underground bands, and of course, eita semiâs band was playing.Â
god, you never knew that you were into guys with ashy hair.Â
his band takes a break and he comes up to you. thankfully you were the only one running the bar tonight. you give him your typical customer service smile and nod before handing the mai tai to the woman. you turn to him, the smile still prominent on your face.Â
âwould you like me to open up a tab for you?â you ask softly. he nods, leaning onto the counter. was this love at first sight?Â
âmm, yeah. iâll just have a bourbon on the rocks,â he replies. you quickly get to making his drink. you wanted to get to know him better, even if he didnât know your name.Â
âso.. how long have you been doing music for?â you ask as you turn back to him, the ice in the small glass.Â
âah... i first picked it up when i got out of high school. it was something i became passionate about over time.â he says as he sits down on the stool, further away from the college students and the hopeless man.Â
you nod with a slight smile on your face with your back to him. you couldâve sworn that you felt him checking you out, but you didnât want to feed your delusions.Â
âdo.. you do something else other than this?â you ask as you place his glass in front of him. maybe luck was on your side tonight because no one was asking you to make any drinks. his gaze met yours and the eye contact was tainted with a little bit of lust and mainly attraction.Â
âyeah.. yeah, i do some stuff with government administration,â he says in a breath, referring back to his public service.Â
âthatâs a pretty name, no?â he asks coyly as he looks down at your name tag. your legs felt like jelly as he looked back up at you. oh god, his jewelry wasnât helping this. the rings on his fingers, his silver necklace, his bracelets. they complimented his arms so much. thank god for men in tank tops.Â
âme? iâd like to think so,â you mumble back as you look back at his face.Â
âwhatâs yours?â you ask as you tilt your head to the side ever so slightly.Â
âeita semi. how about we skip formalities and call each other by our first names?â he asks as he sips on his bourbon. in your head, your mouth dropped to the floor. but in reality, you just chuckled quietly.Â
âhow sweet of you, eita,â you say during your chuckle. sadly, the flirting session got cut short after his bandmate said that it was time for them to perform again. he stands up, the smile still on his lips. he takes the last sip of his bourbon and he speaks up again.Â
âwhat time do you get off?â he asks as he looks into your eyes again.Â
âsoon.â you say quietly as you look back at him.
it was soon. they performed one last time for the night, and you're wiping up the counters. sometimes you were glad that the bar closed at the same time as the restaurant. you look around and chuckle at the hostess kicking out all of the college kids.Â
you caught his eye.Â
you open the back door which leads to an alleyway, and of course, heâs standing there. his bandmates were long gone and he was there all alone. your eyes widen for a second. you didnât think heâd wait for you to close.Â
it was 1:08, and now his hands were around your waist. his hands on your waist felt so sinful, but you couldnât help but indulge in this sin. he was totally sober, and you didnât give a shit if you had a hot singer's hands all over your body in a gross alleyway.Â
âeita, do you do this to every bartender you meet?â you ask in a bashful manner, a slight hue of pink eminent on both of your cheeks.Â
ânah, just you,â he murmurs back as his face leans into yours. his smile on his face felt even more reprehensible but it just felt so good. it wasnât a shock that you leaned in to kiss him first. he enjoyed that. a lot, even. you could feel his little laugh and his smirk as he leaned in, his fingers scrunching up your work shirt. he deepened the kiss which entailed the night that you two shared.Â
maybe it wasn't just a one-night stand with this hot guy. one-night stands became so frequent that you both just assumed you were dating. eita semi had a thing for you: the cute bartender who just happened to serve him that night.

pretimeskip! iwaizumi x [classmate] reader

wordcount: 1188 :D
there was one thing that was special to your class and only your class. you had hajime iwaizumi in your class. one of your friends was in class 3-6, whereas you were in class 3-5, and she always had to talk about oikawa. you were always confused at this, though. you noticed people overlooked his best friend, the boy in your class. although you two rarely talked unless it was for âtalk with your seat partner about your answersâ that your teacher always pressed onto your class, you didnât bother him in his eyes.Â
everyday was simple, youâd sit down in your first class, which just happened to be your english class. you sigh to yourself as you sit on the cold school chair, watching your classmates walk to their seats as well.Â
but today was different. today, iwaizumi wasnât here. and you noticed that your teacher didnât question it. a slight murmur from her mouth was spoken, and you could make out that she said âoh! boys volleyball has an away game, hm?â your face didnât really change, considering you werenât close with iwaizumi. it was fun listening to him every time he explained his answers, considering how differently he comprehended the questions.Â
your english class goes by quickly, and now youâre met with your friend whoâs whining about how she didnât get to see oikawa in class today. it was a long lunch to say the very least.
the school day surprisingly went by quickly, but you knew you had to do cleaning duty for your classroom. as you sweep the floor with your classmate, you two chat about random stuff, from complaining about your teacher to talking about some boys in your class.Â
the bus for the volleyball team pulls up, and your classmate perks up.Â
âhey, do you find anyone on the team cute..? at least for me, matsukawaâs pretty hot.â you let out a quiet chuckle, not wanting her to feel awkward.
âoh, me..? i mean, no one really, iwaizumiâs pretty cool.â you respond back quietly. the exaggerated gasp that comes out of her mouth makes you sigh.
âno, donât think of it like that, please.. heâs just a cool seat partner, really.â you mumble as you put the broom away.Â
âpfft, okay. but yâknow, youâd have a chance. youâre pretty, and like, youâre not in any drama. plus, no one ever thinks that heâs cute.â she says as she walks up to you. you turn to her, a slight frown prominent on your face.Â
âuh, okay..?â you respond back as you two close the classroom for the night. the next day at school wasnât anything special. the same schedule and everything. today, your friend dropped you off at your english class. you just wave her goodbye as you walk up to your seat. today, iwaizumi was here. but this time, your classmate from yesterday is staring at the two of you intently. maybe it wasnât the best choice to tell her that iwaizumi was âcool.âÂ
maybe, just maybe, today would be different. you take out your notes, your teacher walking in. today was different. this time, your teacher walks up to your desk; the slight raise in your eyebrows makes her chuckle.
âgive iwaizumi the notes from yesterday, okay?â she says as she smiles. god, sometimes you hated how she wanted her students to be social.Â
âum.. okay..â you mumble, a bit embarrassed from all the stares you were getting from your classmates.Â
the bell rings, and you hear him sigh to himself.Â
âsorry.. i donât know why she did that.â he says to you, causing you to avert your gaze from the ugly chalkboard to a better sight.Â
âhuh? no, itâs fine. iâll give you the notes once sheâs done lecturing.â you respond back quietly as you look back down at your notes.Â
he gives you a smile; it sort of looked like a smile of relief and appreciation. you didnât deny that you liked said smile.
it was now 8:47, and your teacher let everyone intervene and âmingle with each other.â ugh, you really hated the way she spoke, it was too early for her stupid phrases. you turn to iwaizumi, your notebook in your hand.Â
âhereâs the stuff from yesterday, it wasnât much, really. it was just the answers from the short story.. and i think some new grammar techniques.â you say softly as you place your notes on his desk, a slight smile on your face.Â
god, how he liked that smile. it wasnât known that iwaizumi liked someone, but of course, oikawa knew. ah, thatâs when he realized he liked you.Â
your friend dragged you to the volleyball practice match after school ended. she giggles as she goes on and on about oikawa. you lean your arm on the railing of the upstairs seating. you just nod and listen as you watch the game. of course, iwaizumi catches your eye. youâd never seen him so riled up. he was always pretty quiet and mundane in class. hm, he was cool.Â
his eyes were skimming through the crowd, and a certain classmate caught his eye. he liked the way you looked, how your cheek was sitting on your palm, the way you lazily responded to your friend. he couldnât hear the conversation between you two, but god, you looked cute.Â
oikawa yells his name, with him noticing how his friendâs gaze looked like he was yearning for someone.Â
âshut up before i serve this ball at your neck!â iwaizumi yells back, you chuckle quietly at this, your friend still going on and on. that practice match, iwaizumi had 20 receives and 5 service aces.Â
he blinks as he comes back to reality.Â
âoh, yeah? thank you.â he says as he opens your notes. you do that same thing that he loves. ah, he loves the way your cheek sits on the palm of your hand. you play with your pencil with your free hand, a quiet sigh leaving your mouth.Â
âdid you guys win?â you ask quietly, bored at the random silence.Â
âus? yeah, it was a close game, though.â he responds, loving the way your voice sounded. it was as smooth as velvet. he looks over at you, a slight smile on his face.Â
âi watched one of your practice matches. i didnât think volleyball was interesting until i saw you play it, iwaizumi. i like the way you play.â you mumble back, not noticing the way his eyes widen.Â
âyou.. do? i think you should come to our game tomorrow. maybe you can enjoy my playing style more.â he says cockily, a bit of oikawa coming out of him. he lets out a laugh, his gaze turning back to your notes.
âbut seriously, you should come. i think iâll do better if you watch me.â he says. the nod and the chuckle you gave him spoke so much to him.Â
today was different because you finally noticed iwaizumiâs liking towards you. today was different because you realized that you also liked hajime iwaizumi.Â

timeskip! sakusa x [manager] reader
âďž.*シ・ďž
wordcount: 1158! :D (srry!! itâs long lolol)Â
practice, practice, practice. it was around 6:50 and it was just sakusa and bokuto left on the court. youâd always did a lap around the entire sports complex where the Jackals practiced because your boss never forgot to remind you that you had to be the last one to leave, even if coach foster was long gone. these laps included you thinking to yourself, and of course sakusa just had to pop up in your head. i mean, he was always cute in your eyes. he was quite respectful whenever he came up to you. thinking back to who was on the court, you were slightly surprised at sakusaâs sudden motivation.Â
you never really spoke to him, and you werenât planning on it. he clearly wasnât interested in much conversation, and you only had to talk to him whenever he asked about his performance at the last game. you sigh to yourself as you see the two still going at it. this time, you donât do a lap. you walk up to the two and you look at them.
âum.. when do you think you guys will be done?â you ask sheepishly, not wanting to get bokuto riled up.
âwhenever sakusa says so!â bokuto responds with a cheeky smile. you tilt your head at this. you never really noticed their subtle friendship. you turn slightly to sakusa, wanting him to answer.
âalmost. my receives were bad last game.â he mumbles to you. you knew he had the âdonât leave things unfinishedâ tendency, so you knew it was going to be a long night. you just nod and you look at the unwaxed court.Â
âoh, um, okay..â you mutter back.Â
âiâll just watch you two.â you say as you walk off to the sidelines. bokuto did get slightly riled up, but you were too lazy to care about it.Â
âcan you keep count of how many i miss?â sakusa says in a louder voice, his head turning to you. woah, sakusa was asking you for a favor? you smile and nod, taking out your notebook.Â
âsure.â the next thirty minutes were interesting. youâd never seen him in his element. he looked good, the way his thighs looked every time he bent down to receive a hard spike, the way he wiped the sweat off of his forehead after every receive.Â
bokuto surprisingly departs first, saying something about how he had to go meet up with akaashi for his taxes..? you blink as he hurriedly leaves, leaving the two of you alone. you aimlessly walk up to sakusa. you felt kind of special, seeing him without his mask, knowing that fans always whine and complain about the way he wears his mask whenever he signs stuff.Â
âum, here's how many you received and let go.â you say as you hand him your notebook. he looks up at you, his mask hanging from his ear. god, whyâd he look so hot right now..? he hesitates for a second, but he takes the notebook, appreciating your respect for his personal space. what kind of manager would you have been if you didnât know what your players liked?Â
his face doesnât falter at the numbers, seemingly proud that he had more receives than misses.Â
âthanks.. for doing this. i know you have to wait until everyone leaves.â he murmurs out as he takes off his calf sleeves. you, slightly taken aback by this, tilt your head. huh? howâd he know?Â
âoh..! oh, um, itâs okay, iâm your manager, no?â you ask rhetorically with a slight smile on your face. he smiles back, nodding in response as he looks back down at himself.Â
âsakusa?" you ask hesitantly. "i donât think you should worry about your receives. i think youâre known as the best receiver, um, like ever. i mean, every one of your fans worries more about your mask than your receives.â maybe that was the most youâd ever spoken to him, but the way the words slipped right off of your tongue smoothly made him think differently. he liked the way you spoke, and he liked how you didnât try to come close to him considering his minor mysophobia.Â
âi know, i just needed this to know i'll be good for the next game.â he responds back. it was late, but not too late thankfully.Â
âit kind of surprised me that youâre the last one here. usually itâs miya.. or, ah, bokuto, yâknow? both of them.â you mumble, wanting to keep on talking to him. you knew that heâd probably cut it short by getting up, but he didnât.Â
âmm, yeah, those two are.. very obnoxious.â he responds back lazily, his fingers loosening the laces of his volleyball shoes.Â
you let out a quiet chuckle at this, a chuckle that he enjoyed. he felt a bit confused at his emotions. why were you making him act like this? heâd never been into romantic relationships, considering how much time he spent on volleyball. he also knew that some people would be weird about his minor mysophobia. and relationships were such a hassle in his eyes.
âanyways.. i'll be out of your hair now. thank you for everything tonight.â he says as he stands up. god, you forgot how tall he was. you wanted to get to know him better. you wanted to know kiyoomi sakusa, not the guy you smiled and nodded your head at every once in a while.Â
âwait, sakusa?â you ask. he looked at you, his mask still hanging off of one ear.
âyeah?â he mumbles back before he carries his bag.Â
âi.. think we should grab lunch together one day. to.. uh, talk about your receives..?â you ask skeptically, your lie not coming out smoothly. you just wanted to sit with sakusa. he was so interesting.
the smile on his face as he puts on his mask spoke volumes for you. you couldâve sworn your heart fluttered as he spoke up.
âi wouldnât be opposed to that, manager.â he says quietly, getting ready to depart. you see the janitor coming in to wax the court, knowing it was time for you to go as well.Â
the walk back to both of your cars was short but.. nice. it was around three minute walk, and in those three minutes, you two conversed about his hate for crowds. and he reiterated that he wasnât a huge germaphobe, he just hated it when people touched things incessantly and unnecessarily. and you knew for sure that the lunch was going on because you both exchanged contacts.Â
âbye, sakusa!â you say as your hand rests on your car door handle. he waves you goodbye. you sink into your seat, letting out a quiet sigh.Â
maybe, just maybe this was going to go well. maybe, this unspoken date was going to be the best one youâd ever been on, and maybe your little crush on sakusa would mean something.Â

everything showers, something most girls dreaded, and something others loved. but of course, those showers were so often for you. after learning about keiâs love for strawberry shortcake, you couldnât help but pick out strawberry scented things for your showers. ranging from strawberry lotion to strawberry sugar scrub, strawberry shaving cream, and even a strawberry shower gel.
at first, it was subtle. he would smell your lotion that you applied onto your body everyday. of course, it was just for moisturizing purposes and nothing more. you totally didnât want to catch his attention every time you sat down next to him during your lectures. there just happened to be no seats open. the scowl on his face would always go away after he got a grasp of your scent.Â
the next thing you tried was actually talking to him. you noticed he had some tape on his fingers. maybe you could make something out of him playing volleyball?
âare your fingers okay..?â you ask stupidly. you just wanted to initiate some sort of contact, even if that resulted in him sighing quietly at you.
âthey're fine,â he mutters out. clearly, it was going to be hard to get on his good side. it wasnât as bad as you thought, though. the next couple of lectures, you became closer and closer with him. he just couldnât get over your strawberry scent.
now, you two are out at a cafe. the one thing he orders is a slice of strawberry shortcake, no coffee, no tea. just the shortcake. it wasnât a date, per se, it was a convenient time for the both of you to meet up because you just truly didnât understand the lesson that your professor was babbling about. as you drink your vanilla latte, he looks at you.Â
âwhat? don't make fun of me for not understanding, itâs kinda hard to take notes about something thatâs not important to my major.â you mumble out. his lips turn up into a small smile. something that you yearned to see. oh god, maybe it was worth the money you threw down to smell good for him; for kei tsukishima.Â
âi didn't say anything, you know.â he says quietly as he sets his fork down. of course, your scent filled up his mind with so many thoughts. he knew he loved strawberry shortcake, and now he loved the way you smelt. it was like his dream, but the dream was sitting right in front of him. he just wanted to eat you up, just like his shortcake that was halfway finished.Â
it was 10:42 on a friday night. no, you werenât out partying, and no, you werenât out with anyone. you were standing in your shower, doing your everything shower that was oh so often. the way the sugar scrubâs scent filled your nostrils, the way you glided the lotion all over yourself once you got out: just for kei. this strawberry scent was something you were getting used to, no wonder keiâs small smile was always on his lips every time you were close to him.Â
as you stood in front of your bathroom, you realized that you had a couple of texts from kei.Â
âdid you finish the paper? it was due twenty minutes ago'' - 10:20pm.
âi had to close for the museum today, sorry for not texting you.â - 10:26pm.Â
oh how you loved communication, and how you loved him. what you didnât expect to happen that night was for him to call you. you answer hastily, not caring if it looked embarrassing or needy.Â
âyes, tsukishima?â you ask quietly, putting away all of your body care.Â
âyou didnât respond to me,â he mumbles back.Â
âwhat if i was asleep?â you remark. the smile on your face didnât match your tone.
âwhat were you even doing?â he asks. he wondered what you did. and why you were so attractive to him.
âi was in the shower, actually.â you respond back. you sit on your bed as you put the phone on speaker.Â
âthanks for being thoughtful, i didn't think you had it in you.â you say with a giggle, referring to his considerate message about your paper. and god, that giggle made his stomach twist and turn into knots.Â
âsure, whatever.â he mutters, laying on his back as you two continue your usual banter. he closes his eyes, his mind full of you.Â
âwhy do you always smell so good?â he asks quietly. he opens his eyes, realizing that he said that out loud.Â
âuhh, forget that.â he says as he rubs the bridge of his nose, his voice echoing through his room. he places his glasses on his nightstand, his fingers brushing through his hair.
you take a breath, trying to contain yourself.Â
âme? smell good?â you ask, ignoring his hesitations. of course your stupid act helped with this.Â
âwha..? yeah, you always smell like strawberries.â he murmurs out, closing his eyes as sighs in shame.Â
âmaybe it's because i want to smell good for you, âshima.â you mumble back, not caring about that blush that was eminent on your cheeks.Â
you knew the night would end well because that call lasted a couple hours, with a few teases here and a couple confessions there. you sink into your bed as he hangs up the phone.Â
and at that, an apparent but known realization hit you: you were in love with kei tsukishima.
