Are you looking for a place where you can relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with your family and friends? If yes, then Florencio Resort in Merida, Leyte is definitely worth visiting. During our recent trip, we had the chance to explore this beautiful resort, and it was an unforgettable experience.

Florencio Resort is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect place to escape from the busy city life. One of the things I liked most about the resort is that it has five swimming pools. There is a kiddie pool for children and several deeper pools for adults who want to swim and cool off. The entrance fee is only ₱30 per person, which is very affordable. We also rented a cottage for ₱500 where we rested, ate our food, and spent time together.

Aside from the swimming pools, the resort offers access to a natural waterfall which is called Kaluktuban Falls and is truly one of its main attractions. To reach the Kaluktuban falls, visitors need to do a short hike. Although the walk requires a little effort, the beautiful scenery along the way makes it enjoyable. When we arrived, we were amazed by the clear water, rock formations, and the relaxing sound of the waterfall.

The natural pools below the falls are around 5 feet deep, making them safe and enjoyable for swimming. The cool water was very refreshing, especially after the hike. The entrance fee to the waterfall area is only ₱20 per person, making it an affordable adventure for everyone.

Another thing to note is that Florencio Resort does not have a reception area. However, they provide Piso WiFi for guests who need internet access. Even without many modern facilities, the peaceful environment and natural beauty of the place make the visit worthwhile.

Overall, Florencio Resort is a great destination for people who love nature and outdoor activities. With its affordable rates, multiple swimming pools, and beautiful waterfalls, it offers a fun and relaxing experience for visitors of all ages. If you are planning a trip around Leyte and want to discover a hidden gem, Florencio Resort in Merida is a place that should be on your list.

Our visit was filled with fun, adventure, and memorable moments. Florencio Resort showed us that sometimes the best places to visit are the simple ones that allow us to appreciate nature and spend time with the people we care about.

Studying tourism, but really learning how to live 🌱

Hi! I’m Renelyn Parilla, a third-year Tourism student. My day usually starts with preparing for school by making my bed. After that, I prepare my breakfast, which is usually just instant oatmeal. Once I finish eating, I take a bath, change into my uniform, and do my makeup so I can get ready for the day ahead.

I usually commute to school, so I ride a tricycle. During my classes, I learn through interactive lessons that help me grow academically and prepare me to serve others in the future. These activities also help me develop important skills related to my course.

After my classes, I go home to rest and help with household chores. Once I’m done resting, I eat dinner and continue with my night routine. In the evening, I work on my assignments, check ELMS for activities or announcements, and prepare notes for the next day’s classes. If we have a quiz, I make sure to study, but since we usually don’t, I spend my time reviewing and writing notes to stay prepared.
