This is a variant of how I thought this part of the scene could have been acted out and this is what came to mind since I first watched the movie. I thought it was so strange that no physical contact was made at what was meant to be such a poignant moment.

Re-finding my peace

This week was hard, really hard, and not just the last seven days. It's been a few years of feeling disoriented and confused by what's going on in and around me as I wonder if I'll be ok and if I can recover. When I read posts like these, the words have a way of getting past all the things I seem to feel caged and buried by, and they bring a prick of tears behind my eyes while my breath catches in my lungs, knowing deep down inside that the words have struck a chord within me. The brief moment that these sensations pass are proof to me that there is still a part of me underneath all the tiredness and emotional turbulence that is fighting and hoping for change to come.
