two times today i have been surprised people didnt know about the elephant the aspca brutally murdered in 1903 like thats current or applicable news

went to the waterpark. had tons of fun. knew right about when my mom was going to call me to go home because she cant stand when i have a good time. got that call and left. when i arrived home my mom told me i had to immediately take the trash can to the curb. we have an incredibly steep drive and the trash can is very heavy, and my mom knows this is a difficult task for me and it risks my joints dislocating. i ask if i can shower first, or even just change. she gets more upset and says no. so i have to drag the trash to the street in my swimsuit. i try to tell her about my day. she ices me out. but its whatever! its like clockwork. i think i have a can of soup in the pantry so im gonna eat and watch tv. i had several moments today where i noticed i was feeling truly happy so im going to cherish that.

had to talk to my 71yo associate today about how while it is great to compliment your coworker on her knowledge of where nuts & bolts go in one of the most tricky areas of the store, you cannot call her "queen of nuts" over the radio

my mom will tell me i shouldnt report discrimination because it makes me look like im just whining and then acts the victim when i give her a dead stare

aaaaand on top of everything now i have to contact HR about my boss intentionally leaving disabled associates out of employee appreciation events. i tried to talk to him about how we could be more inclusive going forward and he completely lost his shit and spiraled and started insulting me and basically told me i should suck it up and be thankful of the free food that's being offered. then he implied that i dont deserve anything to begin with. all because i was like "hey next time there's an event lets collaborate so everyone can participate in the activities! :)"
