niall took her hand as they walked outside and he sipped his beer. he nodded and had a look around to see who else was outside. “good vocal chords. devilish good looks. charming personality. excellent vibe....” he named off everything about himself and smirked. “but yeah - ya got good chords, girl.” he teased as if that was all she had, then hid himself from her smack.

scoffing with narrow brows, zayn shook his head, “first of all, mate, i’ve been holed up in my room sleeping these past few days, i mean i arrived sometime ago but i never put energy into communicating with people and figuring out house dynamics and relationships. i truly didn’t know you two were together, i haven’t even seen perrie but once or twice.” zayn explained, “i didn’t mean to step on your toes, you know that i would never and i’m quite offended that you think i would have knowledge of that and would still go about pulling her.”

with furrowed brows, zayn cleared his throat, sheepishly rubbing at the back of his neck, “w-what? my game?” he inquired completely confused. “i’m not trying to pull anyone off of you – who are you talking about?”

biting back his excitement as he watched the recoupling, zayn listened intensively to the words spewing out of everyone’s mouth. everything seemed so genuine, and out of good nature, this feeling making him have hope and excitement for the future to come while being on the island. when niall suddenly approached him, he looked at the blonde with furrowed eyes, beginning to gnaw on his bottom lip out of pure anxiety since the other male seemed ticked off. “sure.” zayn whispered, pushing his hands deep in his sweatpants pocket as he followed behind his old bandmate. “what’s up, mate?”
