“That’s totally true.” She looked at herself in the mirror once more before sitting down next to her friend. “Oh no no. You are not hooking me up with one of Drew’s friends. no. That’s where I draw the line.” She leaned against the chair and let out a sigh. “I think I just need to buy me some cats and accept that I will die alone.”

“What’s wrong with Drew’s friends? I promise they are not all jerk offs. They are surprisingly really interesting and well rounded.” Lux herself couldn't believe the words she was saying, however it was true. Her husband kept good company. “You will not buy cat’s and I refuse to let you die alone. Who else will Roman run to when he needs guidance. You’re a beautiful girl, this whole dating thing should be effortless for you.” 

Taking a seat across her friend, she nodded to let her know that she was listening. “It sounds like they’re all good changes though. Right?” she asked, her tone hopeful. It was always nice to be busy in a good way and have changes in business that were positive. But negative ones, those were always stressful. She hoped for her friend that this was not the case. “Me?” she blinked, her surprise evident. “I don’t think I understand…” she shook her head a bit. 

“Change always helps with progress, and I can say Lethal as gone through many changes along the year but never strayed away from it’s roots.” She smiled back at the blonde. Running Lethal was definitely nothing easy, however with the years and dedication she put towards her beloved magazine it’s success spoke for itself. “Yes, you.” She reassured her. Lux had taken note of her friends abilities some time ago. She admired Anna’s talents and honestly would hope that Anna could incorporate that into Lethal one day. “You see---a position at the magazine has opened up. A position in the fashion culture division for a staff writer. Do you think you would be interested in it?”

“Beyonce does seem to know all. The makeup obsession has already started, and at three. The most she’s allowed to have is chap stick. But lord does she want every flavor she can find. I had to hide all my makeup because she’ll find a way into it. It sounds like you’ll have one hell of a Christmas card this year.”

“ I don’t want to say she’s the queen or anything---but I mean. Oh man, I mean chapstick counts. She’s beautiful all on her own but I am sure that does not stop her. Hide and seek, the best game ever when it comes to the things they just can’t have. Oh you bet, any excuse to take a family portrait and put it on a card you know. How’s life adjusting to Los Angeles going?”

The sight of a familiar friend warmed her heart, showing on her face with a smile. As always, Lux looked like she had stepped off of the pages of her very own magazine and into real life. Giving the woman a warm hug, she smiled. “I’m alright.” she nodded, slowly breaking the hug. “How have you been? I’ve heard you’ve been quite busy with the magazine.” she asked her friend, always being one to talk about others instead of herself. Not like she had much to talk about from her end anyways. 

It wasn’t often the woman had time to sit and catch up, but this was nice. The two had been friends for years and even though they went weeks without talking when they where together it never felt like that. “Wonderful” She smiled. “Sit, sit.” The raven haired woman insisted. “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t. There has been a lot of updates and upgrades and new staffing around here---which is sort of why I asked you to lunch.” She admitted. 

“I believe it’s just called terrible twos plus one. So yes, prepare yourself. God she is. She is such a diva, just like mommy. I’m right there with you, they definitely control our lives. But I think we have to act like we’re still in control, or else we’ll lose it all. Slacker Wednesdays. Those two are peas in a pod. You hit the jackpot.

“ Such a joy to look forward to. Diva’s are what rule the world, Beyonce taught us that. Sometimes I wonder what it’s like to have a girl, has she entered the make up phase yet? Or is that a lie Disney sold to us. I am begging to see 95% of parenting is acting. Throw in the dog and I have a team of beach bums.”
