When Draco saw him awake he seemed to be startled, like he wasn’t expecting Harry to be conscious again. “You’re awake” He said, instantly combing his hair back with his hands.

“Sadly,” Harry muttered, lips quirking into a small grin.

That earned a soft snort. “You passed out last night. I didn’t want to wake you up and I, definitely, was not gonna try and take you to your room.”

“You gave me a blanket”

“I did”

“You took off my glasses”

“...I did”

“And you brewed a sober up for me, I was out of them”

Draco blinked, colour rising faintly in his cheeks. “Are you still drunk, Potter?” he said, hand coming up in mock offence.

Harry smiled, sinking deeper into the sofa. “A bit out of it, maybe.” He hesitated, then added quietly, “I’m sorry if I made things weird last night.”

CHAPTER TENNNN and the last chapter of this year LMAO. I cannot believe 2025 is over (Thank GOD) thid chapter has many moments that i loved a lot. Imma leave one of them here. You can read more of it in this link!!!

Chapter 10

“Am I hearing this correctly?” Harry teased, a deflection Draco saw right through. “Draco Malfoy, worried about my well-being? I seem to recall you complaining about Auror inefficiency not so long ago.”

“That was different,” Draco scoffed, retrieving his cup for a defensive sip. “This is about professional standards. I can’t have my primary Auror contact collapsing from exhaustion in the field.” He looked away, refusing to acknowledge the transparent lie.

Harry just looked at him with that infuriating, knowing smile. “I promise, it’s okay. I’m doing okay.”

And for a reason Draco couldn't fathom, the quiet sincerity of it kind of unknotted something in his chest, making his shoulders relax.

“Thank you,” Harry added as he stood, “for worrying.”

“I told you, I’m not—"

“Sure, sure, Draco. Goodnight.” Harry chuckled, casting a cleaning charm over the mugs before disappearing into the hall.

“Stupid Potter,” Draco muttered to the empty room, the words devoid of any real venom.

I literally had too much free time while waiting for lunch and they were victims of it.

The news of Narcissa's passing arrived just three months before Christmas. Two weeks before she was supposed to be able to return to Britain since her exile has beenforgiven. One day after Draco had received her last letter.

“I don’t have a family anymore, Harry,” he confessed, the words a bare, shattered whisper. “And everyone is with theirs. And they look at me and they remember why I don’t have one, and they’re glad. And I’m just… here. In the nothing. And I don’t know how to do it. I don’t know what to do with any of it.”

Harry swallowed, his heart drunk with worry and love that didn’t know where to go to.

"Come to the Burrow with me" the words came naturally and secure.

"What?" Harry felt as Draco's eyes finally looked at him.

"You're family Draco. You've become family, please come to the Burrow with me. Let's spend Christmas together"

SOOO Chapter 9 of my fic is finally posted. I love developing their relationship and I had so much fun writing it. Imma leave one of my favorite parts here.

A bit of Chapter 9

He moved closer, his footsteps soft on the rug. He didn't speak, simply draping the blanket over Draco's form.

Draco flinched, his entire body going rigid. He scrambled to sit up, turning his face away as he roughly wiped a sleeve across his eyes. "Potter— I— what are you—"

"Couldn't sleep," Harry said, his voice low and calm. He sat on the edge of the sofa, not crowding him, but close enough to feel his warmth. He kept his gaze fixed on the empty fireplace, giving Draco a moment to compose himself. "Bad dream. Didn't fancy being alone. Do you mind if I just... sit here?"

It was a lie, and they both knew it. 

But it was a white lie. A lie that offered Draco an excuse. Harry didn't want his offer to be confused with pity, rather as a shared need for comfort that they could both pretend under. 

A long silence. 

“...yes, okay” Draco’s voice  was soft, Harry couldn't remember hearing it like that ever before. “Goodnight, Harry”

I feel like I have so much time without uni (im going insane again 🥳) and I just HADDD to keep posting. Chapters 7 and 8 from my fic are out and I wanted to share here some of Chapter 8.

A bit of Chapter 8 <3

“Twelve hours,” Ron said flatly. “You’re stuck in there for twelve bloody hours. We can’t risk destabilising it, one wrong move and the whole ward could implode. You’ll just have to ride it out.”

Harry glanced yet again to Malfoy, who had slumped back against the wall, eyes closed in disbelief.

“Twelve hours,” Malfoy repeated faintly. “Lovely.”

Ron’s voice softened slightly. “We’ll stay in contact just like this. We’ll monitor from outside.”

“Copy that,” Harry said, and sighed

The room fell into stillness once more, the faint hum of the ward vibrating through the floor.

Harry exhaled slowly, running a hand through his hair. “Well,” he said finally, meeting Malfoy’s weary eyes. “Guess we’d better get comfortable.”

The taller man let out a weak, humourless laugh. “Oh, goody. Just what I always wanted, twelve hours in a cursed room with the Chosen One, it's a long time, enough to contemplate homicide.”

Harry almost smiled. “You git. You’re welcome for me saving your arse, by the way.”

“Your house is no longer secure, Unspeakable Malfoy. We’re posting Aurors to clear what’s left, but you’re not returning there.”

Draco frowned. “Then where am I supposed to—”

“Potter’s,” Shacklebolt said simply.

The name hung there, too sharp, too absurd, all signs of sleepiness leaving his body. His actual soul leaving his body. Draco blinked. “I beg your finest pardon?”

Potter sounded equally scandalised. “Grimmauld Place!?”

Harry leaned forward, grinning wide again. "So... you'll tell me?"

Draco let his eyes drift upward in a fond, exaggerated sweep. "I'm too sober for that, Potter"
