At first, I thought he was just after the thrill, but then Tyler calls him out in chapter 91: “I took forever to recover because dying took a big mental toll on me. But you… you didn’t care about dying at all, did you?” Aiden brushes it off, saying it’s just for the rush, but his shadow calls him a “liar.” This confirmed all my suspicions
