C'MON GUYS PLEASE TELL ME YOU SEE IT
I thought it would be better for Mike to be Darling since he is a paladin in D&D, but it would also be cool for Will to be Darling, Jane could be Daring and Mike is Apple White, since everyone in the story used to think Daring and Apple White were meant to each other, but in reality, Darling is the real Apple White's pair according to their destinies.
I absolutely see that, and I honestly love it ππ.
I thought Mike and Apple White were pretty similar in terms of their storylines:
Apple - Assumed she was the next Queen, was going to marry Daring etc. (conformity)
Mike - Assumed he had to like El/Jane because she was a girl and he was a boy. (Also conformity)
Both Mike and Apple are smarter than people give them credit for and they both protect people fiercely.
Mike conforms in season 5 and Apple conforms to society's rules and I think the parallels between them are so cool.
Mike as Darling does make sense with the whole Paladin/White Knight aspect, but Darling is a character who pushes back against societal norms (like Will) and I think Darling fits Will better. She has this quiet confidence like Will has in season 5, but absolutely fumbles when she's talking to Apple (like Will rejecting himself x27363737 times).
Willel as the Charming siblings is so cute and honestly I would love to see them get up to silly shenanigans together.

Alternatively, Jane as Raven is kinda cool, both of them are expected to be dangerous, but are really kind and want to help people. The similarities between them are quite cool tbh and I will 100% do a deep dive on it when my exams are over.
