1. What made you want to move to New York and pursue a rap career?

I actually moved to New York before I started rapping. I love Seattle forever, but I was young without any real direction and just needed to be somewhere else. I pursued the rap career cause it’s the only thing in life I actually want to do.

2. How did you link up with ABGOHARD and the rest of ICK?

I actually met Jona Grizz and a few other founding members of ICK at some event randomly awhile back. We just kind of connected quickly and I was brought into the mix right around the same time as ABGOHARD. I just fucked with what everyone was doing, it was natural progression that led to a lot of good collaboration.

3. Who are your three favorite Seattle athletes of all time and why?

Just three is too hard. I’m a basketball guy first and foremost so I would just go straight Payton, Kemp and Schrempf. But Ruben Patterson and Desmond Mason will always have a place in my heart. I’m not going to dive into football and baseball, too many options.

4. Why is your group with ABGOHARD named UglyBoyz and how does it inform the music?

Basically cause people on the internet have voiced their opinion and they think we’re ugly. If you want to get deeper It’s about being yourself and not being some wannabe fashionista name brand worshipping asshole. Everybody wants to rip their jeans and wear all black and try to be ASAP Rocky. But they’re not Rocky. Everybody wants to wear Future hats, but they’re not Future. Uglyboyz is about embracing who you are instead of wearing some costume.

5. What was it like freestyling on Sway in the Morning?

That was a really tight experience. I felt like I was in my zone just rapping, but instead of being in a room with my friends, I was with Sway, someone who I’d seen on TV my whole life. It was definitely a good moment, he was mad cool.
