The lights and noise were blinding, Chan could feel the bass from outside the club. He didn't have time to focus on the music taste of the dj at that time though, because currently his best friend of thirteen years was hanging from his arm, stumbling over thin air and babbling to yourself without a care in the world.
As Chan struggled to get you to settle down, he noticed you moving closer. He chuckled lightly to himself before finally rounding the corner of the street to the parking lot.
He fished around in his pocket for his keys and unlocked the door, before opening the passenger side door and helping you in.
Once you were both in and buckled up, he set off. Through the streetlights on the lively city streets he could see the nightclub his best friend was previously. He saw groups of girls, far too young to be out this late, groups of boys walking around in packs like they run the streets. He couldn't help but smile to himself as he reminisced on the old days when he would stay out to such a late hour just like the groups inhabiting the streets today.
Too focused on outside the window, he didn't even notice your hand sneaking up to turn on the radio. He only realized when the music of your playlist began blaring from his speakers, causing him to jump a bit.
He also failed to notice that you had rolled down the window, which you were now yelling out of giving complements to other groups of girls, who responded with high pitched yells and giggles.
"Y/nnie, please keep your head in the car.."
Chan sighed as he tugged on your arm slightly.
You sighed and pouted but eventually sat back in the carseat.
Luckily now, you had finally pulled up to Chan's apartment. He undid your seatbelt and helped you out of the car and all the way up the stairs until he reached the apartment door.
He unlocked it and eased you inside with a gentle hand on your lower back. You couldn't help but feel a tingle in your skin at the contact. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the crush you'd had on Chan.
He guided you to the kitchen table and sat you down. He then turned to fetch a glass of water for you. "Drink. You'll be less hungover tomorrow."
Begrudgingly, you took gentle sips until the glass was almost empty. Your lively attitude seemed to have calmed down now. You sat at the table, almost dozing off as you stared down at the cup.
"Oh, y/nnie.. Maybe we should get you to bed"
Chan said with a gentle hand on your shoulder.
He coaxed you up out of the chair and into the bathroom. He quickly skimmed through the contents of his bathroom cabinet before his eyes settled on a small packet of makeup wipes. He tugged one out of the packet and carefully pressed it up against your cheek, swiping off the makeup and sweat from your skin.
You let out a small groan at the feeling of the cold against your skin as you sunk into Chan's touch.
"Mmmhh... Thank you Channie, so kind to me"
you sighed out with a dopey smile.
Chan smiled and pulled her in for a hug.
"I just want to make sure you're okay y/nnie"
After leaving the bathroom, Chan helped you get changed into some old shorts of his and a shirt that smelled of him.
He then eased you down into his bed, insisting he take the couch. Before he could leave, you grabbed his hand.
Through your sleep deprived daze, you just barely whispered out, "Love you Channie. So so sweet to me all the time. Don't know what I'd do without you"
You puckered your lips and aimed to land a kiss to his lips, however through a mix of your half closed eyes and him moving away slightly, you land a wet kiss to his cheek.
"Thank you, y/nnie," he says sarcastically, "now try and get some sleep."
Waking in the morning to a headache and slight nausea, you slipped out of bed and into Chan's kitchen to be greeted with the sight of the man himself. He stood over the stove, boxers hung low on his hips and no shirt to be found. You couldn't help but stare before snapping yourself out of it and cursing yourself for being such a pervert.
Fortunately, he turned around just in time to snap you out of your mental conflict, with a plate piled high with toast, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and sausages. Your mouth began to water.
"My hangover cure. Scientifically proven to make you feel at least just a little better."
You giggled before taking your spot at the table and digging in.
"Did I say anything last night?"
You ask cautiously between mouthfuls.
"Mm.. Not particularly. Except you did tell me you love me. And you tried to kiss me."
Chan replied, his face turning slightly red.
Your face dropped, you felt your stomach fall to your ass. Was this your chance to confess and your stupid drunk self blew it? You wanted to cry.
Obviously Chan detected your fear and quickly jumped to clarify, "No, no, no!! I mean I liked it! I just would have rather found out that you liked me when you were sober."
You sighed and clutched your heart dramatically. "I love you, Channie."
"I love you too, y/nnie. Now do you wanna attempt your kiss again?"
You giggled before taking his face in your hands and pressing a light kiss against his lips.
Shuffling into the quiet coffee shop tucked into the back corner of the bustling mall, Changbin sighed as he finally like he was able to breathe. Normally, he wouldn't set foot in the mall, its busy and crowded and far too stuffy for his liking. Unfortunately he has never been good at time management and left buying his mother's birthday gift far too late.
The relief showed on his face as he felt his body loosen, his muscles slightly aching from being cramped up against other shoppers.
He wanders up to the counter and scans the menu. Full chalkboards line the back wall covered in sugary sweet drinks and delicious looking hot food made to order. He then focused on the cabinet of cakes and sweet treats guarded by the glass covering.
After contemplating his choices for a moment, he decides to order an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate muffin. He lifts his head and waits for someone to take his order.
He's zoning out slightly when a voice cuts him out of his trance,
"Hello! I'm so sorry for the wait. May I take your order?"
Changbin's brain takes just a second to catch up. In front of him is stood the most perfect boy he's ever layed his eyes on. His hair is falling over his eyes slightly, he has a slight glow to his cheeks and, oh, his smile. Changbin is sure his heart has stopped. His smile is the purest thing he's ever seen.
The boy behind the counter tilts his head a little, as if to question Changbin, which seems to wake him up.
"Oh! Sorry, um may I have a vanilla iced latte and a chocolate muffin please?"
The boy chuckles and nods.
"Of course! Is that to take away or eat in?"
Changbin doesn't know how much longer he can stay in the presence of the boy without embarrassing himself further, so he decides taking his order to go it the best course of action.
Changbin doesn't pay attention to much else other than the boy's beautiful face in the shop. Although something just as important catches his eye, a small nametag clipped onto his apron that reads 'Seungmin'.
Changbin thinks it's a lovely name. He imagines calling out to him, he imagines mentioning him in conversation to his friends. Unfortunately, that will never be the case. Seungmin and Changbin will never be more than coffee shop acquaintances.
Changbin is, again, ripped out of his thoughts by the sound of a plastic cup and a small paper bag being placed on the counter. He jolts his head up and is now staring face to face with Seungmin.
He looks away to hide his blush and clears his throat before quickly snatching up his cup and bag and clumsily rushing out the door.
Changbin is screwed, he's totally sure Seungmin thinks he's a total freak, that he's banned from the little coffee shop in the mall for life.
He doesn't stop walking until he reaches a bench by a fountain in another tucked away part of the mall.
He takes a sip of his coffee, at last. His eyes widen as he tastes the most amazing drink he's ever tasted. Maybe he's biased, maybe its his crush on the barista, maybe it is just good coffee. All Changbin knows is that his heart is breaking since he's sure he's blacklisted from the shop that served this life changing coffee to him.
He then reaches into the paper bag and pulls out the chocolate muffin. The chocolate drizzle on top is perfectly sticky and the muffin is soft and sweet. He reaches into the bag to grab a napkin he saw Seungmin slip into the bag and pulls one out.
To his surprise, written on the napkin in Seungmin's messy scrawl is a phone number. Changbin's heart jumps. Maybe he hasn't completely fumbled his coffee shop crush! He feels a blush crawl up his cheeks, and spread to his neck and ears. Now he's sure he looks mad. He's blushing at this napkin like a fool.
He's definitely too excited, but true love stops at nothing, so that night he punches the number into his phone and sends a text.
Changbin

Seungmin <3
I'd gladly serve you again
hopefully this time you at least try to talk to me
